2025.01.27 19:10 Ipimy Anyone else hope the next game isn’t too long?
The previous couple Bioware games were very long. DAI, MEA and DAV were like 60 hour plus games. The original trilogy on the other hand was like 20-25 hours per game.
I feel like the length of the original games gave them a lot more focus and had less bloat. I know the length of games get used as a selling point and this makes it an industry wide trend. But games don’t have to be that long, the original games were fine in length. Noone criticies them for being to short.
Longer games also have the side effect of increasing development time, which are getting longer and longer.
Anyway I’d love it if the next game is not too long, a thirty hour adventure is fine by me.

My friend Gabe (38M) was in a relationship with Abby (36F) for only about 2 months and I'm glad it's ending. He told me he's ending it today. Btw, using fake names.
There were red flags from the beginning, on both sides. 1. Introduced Abby to me after only their first date in November 2024, introducing her to me & my friend was their "second date." They've only talked on/off for about a week before then. 2. Gabe let her leave stuff at his place, practically letting her make his home her second home. 3. Abby introduced him to her family, including her teenage son, on Thanksgiving. 4. Gabe delayed getting his license for massage therapy and spent more of his spare time with Abby. So much for prioritizing his career that he was guaranteed after finishing school. 🙄 5. Early December, Gabe left his phone at home 1 time and when he got home from work, found Abby had been spamming him. When he called her she said she had a breakdown, accusing him of intentionally ignoring her. Gabe decided he was going to take a break for the rest of December after that happened. He wanted to prioritize studying for the licensing exam BEFORE working things out with Abby. That way he'd have the time and flexibility to work things out. 6. He lied. Instead of studying & taking the test first, he thought he could manage his test anxiety AND work things out with Abby AT THE SAME TIME. That was foolish. 7. All while trying to make time for both Abby & studying, Abby became more demanding. Gabe kept getting frustrated and learned quickly that Abby does not take time & distance well. 8. All the while this has been happening, he did not tell me anything until I had enough waiting and finally got him to talk last night.
All in all, I feel like Gabe chose an emotionally immature girlfriend over a career and friends that have cared & supported him. I'm glad he's ending things. I want to give him some grace because I did think Abby was an ok person, at first, and Gabe was genuinely happy. I want happiness for Gabe. However I'm not going to be all love & light and pretend everything is just fine.

I took part in a study today which entailed registering for a Microsoft UHRS pilot study, the gist of it was to sign up if interested in taking part in Microsoft UHRS tasks through prolific. It asked for my windows live email address so i entered it thinking it would be fine as it was run by 'Prolific Research Team'. I've been thinking that Prolific always states not to share any info like email address to researchers, so now starting to worry if the study is actually run by Prolific or if its just some random researcher. Does anyone know if this is actually Prolific and if I should be concerned that I gave my email address?

I just wanted to know if this is normal, or if I'm doing something wrong.
I have a decent gear, 200% movespeed while DoK is active. I can go on with DoK active indefinitely, but the DPS diminishes. After about 30 to 40 seconds, I have to stop and start the rotation again.
The charges on the DoK icon start from 6 and drop about one per second until it reaches 2, then it goes back to 6 and repeats.
I'm confused because the guide said you keep the snapshot of all the buffs for as long as the DoK is active.

okay so that sounds like an offensive statement but like let me explain- so basically, late last year, I was at my schools homecoming dance, and I was hanging out with my friend, her boyfriend, and someone he knew- this random dude starts going off about the "transgendereds" and spewing a bunch of nonsense, so I just turn to my friend and say "why he look inbred?" this guy starts immediately freaking out, and after being encouraged to go back at me,stops and just tells me "you don't have any titties!" or whatever (mind you, at the time I had a full blown ed)- for context, this dude was definitely on the heavier side. So he says that, and I just look back at him, and say "I think you have enough titties for the both of us, fatass," before my friend and I walked off to go get food. I thought this situation was over, and just a funny story to tell, but I mentioned it to one of my friends recently, and they, along with a few others have started calling me "fatphobic" and telling me I should apologize- so AITAH?
