I broke up with my ex because I found out he was saying terrible things about me, mainly about my body. He was calling "fat" when he used to say he loved my curvy shape. He said he hated making out with me, etc. When I confronted him in person he said he felt things for me emotionally that he didn't feel physically. I just can't understand how evil and how much of an asshole someone has to be to say something like this to a girl they "loved". He's clearly not a good man for doing these things, but I just can't help but look in the mirror these days and internalize the things he said. Any advice is appreciated.

2025.01.27 19:21 WelshWolf93 Everyone recommends "Castlevania: Symphony of the night" but:
I have literally never played a Castlevania game before (sacrilege, I know)
I started up SoTN and saw that the prologue is a final boss. Got confused so I looked it up to make sure my ROM wasnt busted, and find the ending of the game prior, and a LOT was going on from the get go.
Seems cool as hell, but I feel like maybe I should play the ones before it - so i was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to list me the games leading up to SoTN, and maybe give a heads up if there are any i should just flat out skip or get a remastered version on a stronger emulator etc

I am currently writing a horror story featuring a monster and the story revolves around the main character entering the woods and spending the entire story fighting to survive against the elements of nature and the monster itself!
The question I want to ask you all is, what would be more interesting for the main character?
A) A main character that already believes that this creature exists and has claimed many times he saw it.
B) A main character that has never heard of such a creature and slowly learns more about it over the course of the story.
Bare in mind, that this story I am constructing is very characteemotionally driven and is mostly centered around this character in the woods surviving against nature and the monster.

Cleaning out some items I do not use very often. I don’t know very much about the history of this unit. I’ve owned it for 2-3 years. Unit has a Gen 3 anvis silver bullet. Tube is very clean with a minor spec in zone 3 that won’t show up on camera. Autogated but doesn’t have manual gain. No spec sheet but this unit kept up with 2 Omni 7 units that sold. This unit hung around when everything else was sold because it is a joy to look through at night. Will include a day cap, protective lens, and a Pelican 1150 protective case. $1550 shipped. I have what my opthalmologist thinks is ocular hsv1. First episode was 12 years ago. 2 flare ups since, 11 and 8 years ago. It presents as a classic case of ocular hsv1 yet tests negative for it, but they just treat me as if it's hsv1.
Had a flare up last week. On q3h steroid eye drops and 3xday valacyclovir.
I've been looking up all the side effects and don't seem to have any common ones. However, since starting it last week, I just constantly feel shaky and my HR is elevated (normally my resting HR is 48. I'm at 82 sitting here doing nothing, typing this). Normal workouts feel hard and make me feel light headed, just because my HR goes up so high.
Does anyone else feel like this while taking this med? It just makes me feel like crap 24/7. I see my eye Dr again tmrw and wondering if this is normal or if I should ask about a different med? (I really only see valtrex mentioned here and online as a treatment so wondered if anyone was taking anything else besides valtrex?)
