2025.01.27 19:42 Amogasamogas Post addiction trauma and struggling to accept myself
Hi, I'm a 19 year old college student who just can't convince myself not to feel guilty for who I am. Some background: As the title stands, I have a trauma related to porn addiction for a very long time. It started when I was around 10 and has ended some time ago. I am now 2 years aftet all of this, but it had completely distorted how I percieve being gay. What's exactly wrong? I am happily after all of this, but as all addictions do, they try to come back or handicap your thinking about what others would consider normal subjects (for me it was frightening to even look up lgbt related media just to find help). I just can't stop associating me being gay with all the stuff I've been watching - even though I know that this is completely not true. I don't dispute bring gay, but can't bring myslef to feel good and proud about it. What now? I am mainly asking for advice how to close this chapter of my life. I was thinking about therapy but at least for this moment I have college stuff to manage, which means I will try it probably around summer. Parents are kinda supportive but they are in such denial I think they forgot about the fact (I also don't bring this up). Friends are mostly very chill about it, but I'm just not 100% sure.
Tldr: Porn is really, really, really bad for mental health.

2025.01.27 19:42 Recon2df Osprey Micro 22. A pain to mount but a blast to shoot.
I just picked up and spent many frustrating moments aligning my Osprey micro onto my ppq 22. I wound up just using rock sett on the barrel shroud threads so it would stay in place for me to use the shim kit to mount the osprey micro adapter. Now that I’ve shot it, I can confirm it’s amazing. It just sounds like a staple gun! I can definitely see why they stopped selling these 10 years ago but it wont stop me from enjoying it. Bonus hi point and doodle pic here as well.

Hi! This is an open inquiry to all: in your experience in the copyediting community, what jobs have you noticed copyeditors pivoting toward or progressing into? What's the best method of utilizing past copyediting experience? What roles, programs, or career paths benefit the most from copyediting experience?
Context: I'm a recent English grad who landed a part-time copyediting gig through a colleague's referral. My main job is in higher education and I copyedit for a higher education journal. The managing editor has been mentoring me and I've been working in this role for a few months now. I don't particularly mind the work as it is in line with my skillset; however, I know it's extremely difficult to make a life as a copyeditor and I don't harbor any illusions as to the contrary. I don't think I'd want to do it full-time if I ever got the opportunity to do so. I see this current copyediting position of mine as a potential stepping stone into other roles in publishing, media, content creation, or higher education, and I'm open to trying roles in any of those fields. I'm just trying to plan for the future and know what my options are from here. Many thanks to anyone with more experience than me who's willing to give some pointers!

Dude is a wardrobe that nonchalantly puts himself in harm's way to save everything and everyone, he is chill af and his signature move is fucking badass.
