I'll be landed in Bangkok this March. I'm really unsecure what I'll do because of the burning season. It's really that bad? I was there last January this month, like days before I fly back to Europe my throat was really aching but I don't have breathing problem. I plan to explore more in Thailand since I was only in Bangkok last January but the burning thing made my plan changed. I plan to go in Japan,Vietnam,Indonesia or Malaysia for 3 weeks instead but not decided yet what I'll do or just cancel it!😬🙈

36yo married w/ 4 kids. I work full-time and wife works part-time. Current annual joint income approximately 250k/year in relatively low COL area. Would like to retire at 55, be able to spend up to $10k/month, support kids through college, and give away $30k/year to charitable causes. Here’s our current breakdown:
Cash: $54,000 Diverse brokerage accounts: $692,000 Roth IRA: $308,000 Coverdell: $15,000 Mortgage: -$400,000 No other debt.

Hi everyone,
I’m an Ivy League student-athlete, and I feel very fortunate to be in this position. However, I’ve been struggling lately with figuring out what I truly want to do. I’m currently a junior applying for finance roles and have had some promising leads, but for a long time, I envisioned myself pursuing a career in law. I was a history major initially but switched to economics, hoping it would better position me for opportunities in finance.
That said, I’ve faced quite a bit of rejection in the finance space, and to be honest, I’m not sure I love the idea of forgoing a more structured and rigorous education, like what law school provides. On the other hand, law school comes with significant debt, and it seems like success often depends on being in the top tier of your class at a top-tier school. And with this I honestly am a much better reader and writer but I enjoy many of the parts of finance as well.
For those with experience in finance or law, do you have any advice on how I might navigate this decision? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
