I am a 36 female. I had a thyroid ultrasound because at my yearly physical on the 15th, my doctor said my thyroid felt enlarged. She also did a tsh test (came back at 4.930)
During my ultrasound I was able to see the screen when she was doing the left side of my neck and I saw a big black circle on the screen. I’m assuming that’s normal, but just wanted to double check.

I just had a very nice stay at the Grand Hyatt Indian Wells. I had previously stayed at the property before the renovation when it was a Hyatt Regency. The grounds have always been beautiful and the rooms spacious, but I really like the updates they made. The property looks contemporary and not at all dated anymore.
I was gifted a GOH certificate and upon check-in I was upgraded to a Penthouse Suite which was a really nice surprise and I thanked her. I asked if I could have a late checkout and she looked in her computer for about 10 seconds and says that a 4PM checkout was already applied. I thanked her again and told her that will make my life a little easier because my wife had a Zoom meeting from 1-3PM on our check out day and I won't have to worry about where she can do this.
Our room was very comfortable with a large balcony and great view of the pool and surrounding mountains. There was plenty of storage space for clothes, empty suitcases, etc. There was an empty small refrigerator to use that we put our drinks and snacks in. There was a 1/2 bath in the living area. The main bath was a nice size with separate shower and tub. Being California, the shower water pressure was abysmal, but thats pretty much every hotel in California. I can take a shower in 5 minutes at home, but it takes me 15 at a hotel just because it takes 3 times as long to rinse the shampoo and soap off. I feel like someone is spritzing me with a spray bottle instead of being in a shower. Anyway, enough of that rant.
The breakfast at Tia Carmen was small buffet and very good. They will make you an omelet if you'd like as well. The fruit was appropriately ripe. All the stations were attended to quickly and the food was always fresh. The Wagu beef was a highlight. The orange juice didn't taste fresh squeezed, but wasn't bad. All in all, I very much enjoyed each breakfast. Service was excellent and attentive.
One day we ate lunch by the pool at the Well and another day at Carmocha. Both were pretty good, but not memorable. Service was slow, but there was a conference going on that probably contributed.
I have a 6 year old daughter and one of the main reasons why I booked this hotel was the pool area. Unfortunately, the weather was a little dreary and chilly (high of 62 degrees) on our main pool day. But, the pools were heated to a very, very comfortable temperature. Even the two large slides were heated (the water). So, we were able to have a great time despite the weather not being optimal and despite being pretty frigid every time we got out of the pool. This was a highlight for our daughter.
We also took advantage of the free use of bikes to go around the property for an hour or so.
I didn't have a chance to take advantage of the spa unfortunately.
The only SNAFU that occurred during my stay was the late checkout. The day of checkout, we had a great breakfast together as a family and then my daughter and I went exploring and had our pool day. Starting at 11AM, the cleaning staff and front desk started badgering my wife about when she was vacating the room. Each time, my wife explained that I had arranged a 4PM checkout and that they needed to contact me if they needed to discuss it. At 2:30PM, they eventually called me on my cell phone (I was unaware of what was going on) and told me that check out was 11 and I needed to leave immediately. I explained that I had arranged a 4PM checkout at the time of my arrival. Their initial response was that late checkouts are only based on availability. I explained again that I understood that and did not feel entitled to it, but was granted it when I checked in. She then said that late checkouts should be arranged on the day of departure and not at check in. I told her that I was unaware of this, but regardless, I was told when I checked in that I could have a 4 PM checkout. She then asked who I spoke with. I explained that it was the woman who was the only person working at reception when I checked in at 7PM on my date of arrival. Without missing a beat, she says that she spoke with her and that she shouldn't have offered me a late checkout. Why ask who it was that I spoke to if she already knew? She then said that they needed me to leave as soon as possible and that they would credit me 5000 Hyatt points for the misunderstanding. I told her that I had just gotten out of the pool, but would go to my room immediately, shower, pack and leave as soon as I could. it was entirely a cordial conversation, but I didn't appreciate her acting like I knew my checkout time was 11 when she knew that I had arranged a 4PM late checkout. I wish she had just said, "I'm sorry, we won' t be able to give you a late checkout, we had someone book the room in the interim since your check in and need it now." I would have been entirely fine with that given that it is a resort property. Please just speak to me with honesty and I'm more than happy to accommodate and be reasonable.
Having said that, it did little to detract from a really nice stay. I used 46,000 points for 2 nights and feel like this property is a very good value. I've seen other threads recently about "what is the difference between x property and ultra luxury properties". I feel like my last paragraph is a chief difference. I've stayed at many Ritz's, Four Seasons, St. Regis', Montages and this kind of conversation likely would not have occurred. If I was paying >$1000 per night, I'd be a little more put out by the situation. As it stands, for 23,000 points a night, I'm not expecting white glove service.

My prototype today (text are in French because i am French) 1) I have tried a code design like the Model–view–controller pattern (like the image) with a View Class that show informations and have the buttons, a class for the game logic called City and a class for the Neighbourhood that contains all informations about and extends the Sprite2D Class. Is it a bad design ? my pattern in theory 2) I could not find a way to add my Neighbourhood as child to Interface so I had to tweak it : The Neighbourhood class have a function to return the name of the texture depending of the Neighbourhood object properties and the View class loop on all Neighbourhood object and add them as children. The Neighbourhood object can have some children : GPUParticle2D (smoke) or another sprite for show a specific Condition, but all of the code doing that is in the View Class so it's a bit messy. As we all know, tests are really difficult to book. After failing a test recently, I've fortuitously been able to snag someone else's cancelled test within 3 weeks - however, my instructor is not available during that time. Would it be worth finding someone else who is available, given I'll have to get used to another capossibility of conflicting advice between instructors? Or am I better off just booking a date 6 months later so that my current instructor has ample notice? I've got less than a year left before I have to redo my theory so I was hoping on getting a test sooner.

Im not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes : my husband’s job is full of unfixed stray cats, and we’ve been working to get them all out as it is a super dangerous place for cats. A few have been run over by cars already. We rescued 1 adult cat (1 year), and 3 kittens (5 months, 4 months, and 4 weeks). They were all malnourished and dirty but luckily uninjured. Now im not sure how to find them homes. Does anyone have suggestions on how to find good homes for them? Please help im desperate.
