For context, this was over ten years ago, and the person I was with at the time was just beginning to get into astrology. Although I have been in five serious relationships since then, I have spent a lot of time learning about myself, addressing traumas and patterns and behaviors, and putting in a lot of work in therapy to become a better person and partner. Still (and it might be just me holding on to past relational trauma) I am struggling to let go of the albeit extreme notion that my chart has me fated to end up alone.

My gynaecologist wrote a prescription for me for boric acid vaginal suppositories to help restore the pH balance in my vaginal flora. I’m a little worried is boric acid although I know it seems to be OK. Vaginally is highly toxic orally. Has anybody taken the vaginal ones and has anybody had any side effects from them or have they worked for them?

I’m loving the Leo vocab trainer but the problem with the flash card approach is it doesn’t help with things like “remember this verb is irregular” and it also doesn’t combine subtle differences in meaning to one card. I’m curious if anyone knows of any resources that help with learning vocab and verbs, that teaches you the things to look out for not just a 1 for 1 word translation? Thanks!

From what I have read, it seems that my Dad could itemize his costs for caregivers that provided for his wife (who died from dementia on hospicce care) and now for himself.
For himself, because there are at least two tasks that he is unable to do: toileting, transferring, and bathing. He is unsteady on a walker and alwasys needs someone behind him, because he falls.
It seems that we will need a doctor state these things? in some form? what words to use? so that it is tax deductible??? My Dad gets 24 hour care so we are talking $200,000 in a year!
What suggestions, do you know about this???

2025.01.27 19:50 GrietKietelaar AiPaper owners: how is the device holding up in terms of build quality?
With the Viwoods AiPaper out for a couple of months now, I was wondering if some careful estimates could be made about the overall QC on the production release devices.
Checking this community, I was pleasantly surprised that I have yet to find a post about blatant hardware failures, particularly the screens. Either I'm missing something, or the plastic Mobius screens are doing their job really well so far.
Given the fact that this is a brand new company with a brand new product, it might be too soon to draw conclusions.
As for why I'm interested in this: Being a prospective buyer of an e-reader, I was quite certain that I wanted a Boox device. Then I found out their currently available lineup doesn't have a monochrome, 10 inch device with front-light.
And then I figured out that most of their 10 inch e-readers use(d) glass screens, with plenty of stories of 'spontaneous' screen breaking to go along with it, topped off with some really bad customer service when it comes to faulty hardware (screens in particular).
Long story short, even though I know I will miss the front-light, I'm willing to forego that feature if it means I get a durable e-reader that may outlive it's replacement date.
And yes, in I'm looking at the Viwoods AiPaper for that!
Would love to see owners (both happy and unhappy) chiming in!

2025.01.27 19:50 Nutritiouss Tempur-Pedic Supreme Hybrid- First Weekend Update
Hey folks, just posting this as a reference for people that are looking in the future, as many of you are aware looking for a mattress can be soul crushing 😅
We picked up a Tempur-Pedic Supreme Hybrid Medium. We have slept on it since Friday night. It was delivered mid day Friday and sat in a truck overnight I think because it felt like it was frozen solid.
Heated the room some and did some break in steps. Very firm the first night. Significantly softer now after 3 days. I'd say it's a medium firmness at this point (some folks say this is a super firm bed). I'd agree with the assessment that it's between the Pro adapt and the adapt. You can definitely tell it doesn't have as much comfort layer compared to the pro adapt.
Things I've noticed, I can actually sleep with my arm under my pillow, and I can almost sleep with my shoulder in the mattress on my side, I'm kind of wide (5'9" 200, broad shoulders) so that's been a plus.
I am incredibly sore, as is my wife. Going to wait some more time and try to update. It FEELS comfortable to lay on but we have been on a super responsive spindle latex mattress for the last year or so the memory foam feeling is a bit of a switch. Didn't enjoy the spindle.
(We have tried a Nectar, Spindle, Novaform comfort grande, and this Tempur pedic. I would say we were only satisfied with the Nectar but it was KIA in 4 years, the Novaform is where my neck pain started and the thing gives me nightmares)
I do feel often like there's enough room for my hips to sink in, same with my shoulders, and at times I actually feel like my spine is straight. It's been a while since I've felt that way so that's a plus.
As far as purchasing goes, I was pretty annoyed with the email support because they basically wouldn't give me any idea of what foams the supreme mattresses are of versus the pro adapt or the adapt. Phone support did end up helping me with that so that's was nice.
Overall I think this will take more breaking in before we know if we can keep it. I've had shoulder pain for 2-3 years, hoping this helps with it.
Going to try to update here for anyone interested since I had a hard time finding the info I needed when I was looking.
I don't enjoy the mattress review sites anymore because they seem like they're all shilling something they're getting paid buckets for.
