2025.01.27 19:22 axc630 Just got home from getting a cancerous cyst removed
 | Found a lump on my boy's side a couple weeks back. Biopsy showed it was cancerous so scheduled to have it removed and it was just done this morning. Back at home now but still a bit out of it from the anesthesia. Hoping for a fast recovery. On top of this, he also has a pulmonic stenosis so he has a cardiologist and takes meds daily. Also a bit reactive and been to a bunch of training. My partner and I joke about it all the time how much this little dude has cost us. We got him from the shelter and adoption fees were $60, so we always joke about our $60 shelter dog. The other thing we joke about is that we named him Steve Rogers, after Captain America. But apparently he's pre-super serum version. But I wouldn't change a thing. He brings so much joy to my life. It originally wouldn't turn on so i replaced the power port and that fixed that issue. After a deep clean i was able to get it to play games when plugged into a tv. The backlight turns on but nothing shows up on screen. I would really appreciate any help with this.

2025.01.27 19:21 Tornarus-Tarak How much would Cum Laude count if aiming to apply for Ph.D all over the world?
I'm doing my master in computer science and have little interest in pursuing a higher degree but one friend of mine (non-EU) is pretty anxious about failing to satisfy the requirement for Cum Laude which might be an obstacle on his way to pursue a doctoral degree. His field of interest is in AI, specifically reinforcement learning and has been doing a remote RA for a while but would not really have any certain publification in the foreseeable future when he would start to apply for Ph.Ds/EngDs. As far as I am concerned, he would take his chance around the world (which makes me feel like the fancy Cum Laude barely useful) and his overall GPA is pretty much high, something like 8.5 by far.

Yes, I just made this post earlier, but I wasn't specific enough and all the recommendations were Salo like movies so I deleted that thread. Should have been more specific, not looking for stuff like Salo, I know it isnt going to go over well with my group, they are not tryna watch porn or scat or whatever on screen the whole time, but thats my fault. Looking for movies like those I listed below, or KIDS n Gummo, movies that are extremely messed up, some messed up absurd laughs, but also aren't just scat the entire time.
Going to have a few friends over later and looking for a very extreme movie to watch. Not looking for any normal people films, recently watched The House That Jack Built and the people loved it, same with Happiness (1998) and God Bless America. I really need to stress that I don’t want anything tame, I’m strictly looking for a fuck ton of shock quality. The House That Jack Built he literally murders children, I didn’t even know you could do that on film. God Bless America is a murderous rampage in the sunny suburbs and Happiness is somehow worse than all of them without any real violence.

Hi everyone.
I've got a few files, mostly .mp4 files, that I need to drop in a server.
I've used Alley to convert files to .mov ( under DXV 3 codec).
Although, when I drop the files in the D3 folder, I can't see those in the Bank ( using sockpuppet ).
It also gives me an alert saying " digesting file "video_name" " .
Any idea ?

You dont wanna end up like me. Im not convinced about anything anymore. This leads inevitably to low self confidence and low self esteem.
The biggest problem with this is when talking to women. Ive met so many different women recently since im looking for a GF. And im good looking so i can get alot of initial interest. But eventually you will fumble once your low self confidence shines trough.
Whereas before, even tough it might be toxic or whatever, atleast i had this conviction that i am "better then" every girl i met. And this made me not care one bit. Wich i remember worked rly well in the dating world.
I dont know whats better at this point tbh. I know now im just a narccissistic asshole, but i dont know if its any better to not be anyone at all. So be carefull with that stuff. Its a long, and what feels like right now, an impossible road forward.
