2025.01.27 19:10 hulahulagirl It’s not MS…so is it FND?
Not asking for a diagnosis, just wanted to say hi and I’m joining this group in case I do have FND. I can’t help analyzing what’s wrong with me and trying to narrow it down to one thing.
I went to my Nurse Practitioner in Dec 2023 because I was having weird leg tremors (like when at a stop light, holding the brake pedal) and intermittent loss of balance on the treadmill. She said I fit the profile for “early MS” which sent me on a mission to learn all I could about possible symptoms and keeping a log.
Other symptoms I’ve had: phantom tickle on my nose for 3 days, upper body tremors (feels like a long shiver) when laying down doing core/legs exercises, trouble projecting voice, weird shooting pains in various places on my body, choking on food and vitamins more, and slurred speech. All of these are intermittent.
I pressed for a referral even though she didn’t want to initially. My neurology appointment is in May. 😑 Sp I pressed for another referral and was given an MS protocol MRI, which came back as unlikely MS. Good news, but it doesn’t resolve my symptoms.
Today I came across FND as a possible condition to investigate. I had some prolonged and very intense stress from my marriage over the past 18 months (things are better now) and I also deal with anxiety and depression. Open to hearing any feedback if you’ve had similar issues and reading through posts for support.

2025.01.27 19:10 Zombie3rains22 Is it normal to “blackout” during hypnosis
There’s times that I’m listening to a hypnosis recording then I “blackout” but then I come to and not remember what happened. I’ve googled it and google said that it’s hypnotic amnesia. But why does it happen almost every time and then it doesn’t happen. I don’t know if is a cause for concern or not.

Hi all,
Has anyone experienced chest pain after taking melatonin?
I’m a relatively healthy 25F, and I often used to take 3 mg melatonin gummies in college. I stopped for a few years, but recently I took 1 mg to help me fall asleep. Even the smallest amount of melatonin knocks me out, so I fell asleep quickly after.
I woke up with a very worrying chest pain that went away after 10 minutes. Has anyone dealt with this? I want to try taking it again since I’ve been dealing w sleep issues, but I’m worried.

my daughters behaviour seems to be getting worse by the day, my husband and i have tried all forms of punishment taken away phone etc, when we ground her she just sneaks out the house, now my husband has put a lock on her window and door that can only be locked or unlocked with a key, last weekend we locked her in her bedroom as a punishment for not respecting her grounding, to start with she kick and banged on her door to be let out, we refused, after an hour she became quite and went into a sulk, we served her meals in her room and she was only allowed out to use the toilet,she had no tv no phone just school books, i know it sounds mean but it"s the only way we can keep her in, and it seems to be the only punishment she really hates, we have told her unless she behaves this week she will spend next weekend locked up, so far it seems to be working, is this a fair punishment or too crue ? ps on a safety note we always keep the key in the lock so we can let her out in an emergency, and both of us are always close by to supervise
