2025.01.27 19:37 TheWorstGameDev Would you play a mobster themed incremental game? (Web/Phone)
So I work so hard on projects but end up getting no interest by anyone (as my ideas are pretty niche), so i've spent a bit of time on this and want to know if its worth finishing. It'll be a incremental mobster themed game. For the story you start from nothing and work your way up to be recruited by a mob and can eventually create your own. The biggest inspiration and game I can think of it being like is magic research (1 and 2) But a fair bit deeper.
I've attached some screenshots of some screens to see what i'm going for (this is still super early so theres not much to show just yet - i've also updated it a fair bit since making these)

2025.01.27 19:37 Own-Cap-5747 I have a rotator cuff tear from Jan 12 2025. My friend has one from 2 years ago. We want to know, if rotator cuffs are not made worse, can improvement be seen on an MRI , or does a rotator cuff tear never change because the tear itself does not heal ?
She finally got insurance approval after 2 years. I can get mine sooner. If I wait till spring, better weather. I am a poor risk for surgery and am using PT to hopefully improve.

 | I’m 18M 6’ft 150lbs (182cm and 67.5kg) and I think around 20% body fat so I’m skinny fat. I’m not really comfortable with my physique so I started training push pull legs in calisthenics park 2 months ago. (I tried to go to the gym before but I was inconsistent). I don’t see much progress, I hate my chest (puffy nipples or mild gyno???) and belly fat, and love handles… I want to have a nice physique for the first time in my life for this summer. I really want to see my abs as well (I start feeling them tho). I only see progress when I flex and have nice lighting, otherwise I look skinnyfat… Should I cut, recomp or bulk? What is the best and fastest one to achieve a good physique in 6 months? Another question: should I train calisthenics or go to the gym? I enjoy both but the park is free, gym is not. Thank you!! PD: I can do 30 dips, 10 pull ups and 40 push ups. 2 months ago I could do 8 dips, 3 pull ups, 17 push ups and my pr in bench press is 65kg. Has anyone tried out https://votemachine.org ? It is a new website inspired by liquid feedback, it states "Vote Machine provides tools to discuss real issues, in a secure, anonymous, but accountable space." There is a Eugene issues page on there and the dev is from Oregon, there as all the other pages are in Oregon. Liquid feedback or liquid democracy is popular with the greens in Germany https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LiquidFeedback it would be cool so see some of the reoccurring things from this sub be voted on over there. First of all it's been a bit of an eventful week. I'd been going through my first mock exams the prior week and having everything be thrown into unbalance. It was the second week back at school after the Christmas holidays as a whole so I've already been dealing with the January depression. My Mam's friend also has a wedding that my Mam is a bridesmaid for in February so we'll have to go down to where they live further south for at least 2 days.
Jan 20th 2025
The whole orange Voldemort thing happened, casting a shadow over everything.
Last period I was taken out of the lesson to be told that my schedule had been completely changed and now I'm in a wholly different set. "Huh' I thought to myself, 'that's a bit sudden but okay?" It became apparent that only me and two others in my class had been moved, not even to the same classes and I barley know them. I've been moved plenty of times before but this was just so out of nowhere that I don't think I processed it properly because I only raised a slight eyebrow to this. Yeah, it sucked but I was sure I could put up with it.

I could not put up with it. I had been moved to a class that somehow with my 4 years in this school had only known a whopping 2 people from out of about 30. Of course I was not given a choice to sit with them, in fact there was only one seat left in the whole classroom which makes me wonder why the hell I was moved here if it's basically at bursting point. The rest of the subjects I had been moved from didn't fare much better, My favourite one of the bunch was my maths which, shocker, also had the most people I was familiar with in, some for better, others for worse, but at least I knew these people. I swear they just randomly generated like 20 people just to make me as lonely as possible.
To add onto all of this it was when I got home that the news had been broke that my brother was going to have to undergo a heart operation in two days. When breaking this news to me my Mam broke down while explaining it to me She's always cried and gone on stressed rants at me before but this was the first time that she's ever fully broken down in front of me before.

Due to the fact that my parents wouldn't be home until 9am because they were in hospital with my brother I would have to go down to my Grandma's while they were gone so I could have tea. I gathered all of my stuff that day and trudged on into school and tbh I was fighting to get through it. That was until the last period where I got the text that the op was postponed to the following day. All that stress for nothing.
Jan 24th 2025
This time it actually happened, I got on the cramped ass scholar's bus because I don't know the routes of any other buses here because we just recently moved. The closet stop I could get was a gruelling uphill walk to my Grandma's that I completed by about 4pm just as it was getting dark. I start to worry about how my brother is doing as it's been complete radio silence from my parents since the morning. My Mam does arrive and picks me up at 9.
Jan 25th/26th 2025
You may think that the weekend is alleviation but it's not. It was mostly just rushes back and fourth out of the hospital, seeing my brother who’s usually so happy and cheery in so much pain and sluggishness. Oh and it's also about this time that I start getting toothaches on one tooth. Turns out that the filling that I've had for 6 years decided that this was the best time to start causing problems and is staring to come out so it's looking likely that I'll have to get that ripped out and have a new one put in so that's fun, yet another thing to burden my Mam with.

And so we reach today. This morning the new timetable struck again, this time with having PE first thing on a morning outside in the freezing cold. I started approaching my class, took one look at it and for the first time ever, I dipped. Never knowingly skipped a lesson before, I'm just not that type of kid but today was a breaking point. It was class of kids that I didn't know again but this time I recognised a few of them as being really into sports where I am not and can get really mean towards new people and people who suck at sports, I am both and considering this was of course an all male class the type of bullying would be that gang mentality in your face type that I really couldn't be bothered to deal with today.
I hid out in the bathroom stalls which was heart racing as hell considering this was the first time I've done this and it was in this time that I began to feel genuinely sick and was thinking about using the excuse that I was sick for being in the bathroom should I get caught because nöne would suspect the performance as it would be genuine. There was a scare in the last 5 minutes as a staff member knocked on the door and asked for my name but fortunately they were looking for some other kid. Over the course of this hour I was given ample time to sit and reflect on things and it was then that I think it finally sunk in how shit everything's been and will continue to be for the next few days as I face the consequences of doing this, the next two weeks of my brother's hospital stay, the next few months of this new timetable and to be honest, for the foreseeable future with everything else going on in the world at the minute. For the first (of probably many) time in my life I feel well and truly hopeless.

Izumi looked up, her gaze meeting Issei’s as he stood in front of her, holding his tray of food. They were in the cafeteria, surrounded by voices that blurred into the background. She quickly looked down, expecting him to walk away like the others always did.
Instead, Issei sat down beside her.
"You don’t mind sitting with me?" she asked hesitantly.
He shook his head. "You’re just normal, like the rest of us."
A small, almost hesitant smile formed on Izumi’s lips as she stared at her food. It was the first time someone had looked at her—really looked at her—and called her normal. Even when she wasn’t.
Not Issei. He was different from the rest… different from my sister, Rias. She was always there when I needed her, but even with her, I still felt alone.
The fallen angel laughed cruelly, the sound echoing through the battlefield.
Izumi clutched Issei’s lifeless body in her arms, her hands trembling violently. One of the crests on her body lost its glow, darkening into an abyssal shade. As the light faded, a swirling black aura formed around her. The fallen angel smirked and hurled another spear straight at Izumi—
A massive, clawed hand shot out from the darkness.
As the shadows fully took form, Izumi’s body crackled with violet energy. Her figure morphed—her once bright clothing fading into a void of colorless fabric, chains wrapping tightly around her frame. Her boots dulled to a lifeless shade, and her hands—now monstrous in size—had fingertips that gleamed a deadly crimson.
Underneath the hood, two glowing red eyes emerged, glaring at the fallen angel with cold fury.
"LadyDevimon."
"Even with my sister and my adopted family… I was always alone."
Rias stood before her peerage, her presence commanding as always. "We’re hunting a stray tonight, so be prepared."
She turned to Issei, her crimson eyes sharp with expectation. "Your Sacred Gear… it’s the Vanishing Dragon, correct?"
Issei nodded. "Yeah. It absorbs power without the ten-second limit."
"Good. We’ll need that against this fallen angel."
Without another word, Rias stepped out of the clubroom, her peerage following close behind.
Tonight, the hunt began.

I'm not sure if I'm the only one who's noticed this, but the Shred skill on the werewolf druid has a LOT of collision issues where he gets hung up on things when playing on PC and mouse and keyboard. I get so many issues with getting hung up on walls, I get hung up on the headless roots/cocoons. Shit I will even get hung up in PLACE with nothing on top of me or near me while trying to dash to an enemy where my druid will just swipe in place not dashing to the next target.
Has anyone else noticed this? When playing on controller you can literally dash through walls. It's just very very very odd.

Estoy empezando mi camino hacia un estilo de vida más saludable porque quiero ganar masa muscular y sentirme mejor conmigo mismo. El problema es que no tengo ni idea de cómo cocinar. Literalmente, no sé ni por dónde empezar: no sé cómo preparar alimentos básicos, cómo organizar mis comidas o qué recetas serían buenas para mis metas.
Me siento un poco perdido porque nunca he cocinado antes y hasta las cosas más simples me parecen complicadas. Por ejemplo, no sé cómo hacer que un arroz quede bien o cómo cocinar proteínas como pollo, pescado, o incluso opciones veganas como tofu o lentejas.
¿Alguien podría darme consejos súper básicos o sugerencias de recetas simples para principiantes? También me vendría bien alguna guía sobre cómo planificar comidas para la semana sin volverme loco.
Cualquier ayuda, recomendación de canales, libros, o incluso sus propias experiencias, sería increíble. ¡Gracias de antemano por su paciencia con alguien que literalmente empieza desde cero!
