For all my life i’ve had a serious problem with daily interaction. Being forced to see the same people, every day, in a given setting in which we have common goals and duties (school, college, work etc) always frightened me.
Whatever this setting may be, there’s always this moment of relaxation in which people gather to chat with one another. I might have a topic to talk about on a day, maybe on two days, three if i put some effort on it… but every single day? How am i supposed to bring a new subject to talk about every bloody day? My life isn’t that interesting! In fact, no one’s life is and, however, i seem to be the only one struggling with this issue.
I can’t simply stand silent next to someone until our break is over. I feel obligated to have something to say so that we don’t have to deal with that embarrassing silence.
Tbh, i don’t think this is a simple case of social anxiety. You see, i’m not really afraid of talking to people (i do it often, actually), i’m only afraid of talking to them when i have nothing to say. If i had an eventful and movie-like life, constantly jumping out of airplanes and traveling all over the world, i’m pretty sure i’d never run out of topics in a conversation. But it happens that i’m just an ordinary guy, your average Joe.

So I am a first time homebuyer and recently submitted an offer on a house I like. I did my due diligence and had a home inspection completed this past weekend and let’s just say IMO what came back in the report was concerning.
First, there is an issue with two openings between the slab and siding where animals could just access. There is also a leaking pipe, a retainer wall that separates my house and the neighbors house that was listed as a major issue as it’s leaning. No one can confirm who owns the retainer wall but if it collapsed it will be on my property.
I ordered the top tier of inspections to cover my bases and spoke directly with the inspector. Now, my agent is trying to convince me this inspection is not that bad and she’s been doing this for 5 years blah, blah, blah. It’s starting to really piss me off because she’s just pressuring me to keep pursuing the sale. I already told her I’m not comfortable with spending this kind of money with these major repairs. Also, the listing says it had a new water heater and HVAC which I found out wasn’t true.
Now I’m pissed at my agent and I just want my earnest money back. I’m a type of person that follows their instincts and I can’t in good faith buy this house.
Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what is your advice? I’ve already let my lender know and they ordered an appraisal last week which now I’m being charged for, which I chalk that up to the process.

I’m going to lose my fucking mind. My fsa payments aren’t going through probably bc it’s the start of the year or something. I go to allied to check what’s going on. I can’t log in with my account number. I don’t know if I registered with my email, but the website says I have. I reset my password. I still cant log in. The apple password app is up my ass every 2.5 seconds asking me to please please please let it save my password so I can’t see if there’s an error bc the website pops up with something that disappears right before I can exit out of the app prompt. I delete the app and try to log in. There is no further information about why I can’t log in. I go to contact them. They want me to call. I don’t want to call. I fill out the contact form. Every time I move to a new field, it sends me to the top of the page again and I have to scroll down. I don’t know my group number off hand, but I think that maybe it would be the same one as the group number on my insurance card. It isn’t. I can’t submit the contact form without the group number.
I want to rip something apart with my bare hands.

Using TMHI for a few weeks; I'm happy with it so I cancelled Cox yesterday.
But I'm a tinkerer and I want to ask/know if it's worth going the next level with a MIMO antenna on the roof - $250 or $400 are the 2 waveform products that I'm considering.
So based on learnings from here and there I took my gateway onto the roof and did some testing, all connected to the same tower.
Most signal parameters improved significantly but up/down speeds didn't wow me. Are these numbers worth going to the expense and effort of a roof antenna?
I honestly can't say I'm unhappy with my current speed and latency. TV streaming is fine, I'm not a big gamer.

Let’s say someone lives in a city of around 700k people and they have been actively using bumble for half a year. Are the people that are shown to them nowadays people who have just joined recently (or started using their old accounts recently) or are new in your area specifically etc.?
From what I understand that’s how it works but I don’t really get it how some people in medium sized cities keep using the app and keep getting new dates all the time. Or are there constantly a lot of people joining the app?
In my experience, when I (F) first sign up I am able to schedule a few dates in the first couple of weeks but then after a month it feels like I’ve swiped out everyone in my area which has around 700k people. My age range is within 8 years.
