Hi everyone, I’m at a crossroads and need advice on choosing between two master’s programs:
- Smith School of Business at Queen’s University (Canada) - Master of Finance
- Much less expensive (both tuition and living cost).
- I’m Canadian, so the chances of finding a job post-graduation are much higher in Canada.
- The program is rigorous and aligns well with the CFA curriculum, which is helpful as I’ve already cleared Level 1 and plan to pursue further levels.
- The schedule is structured with classes twice a week, leaving room to work part-time or study for the CFA while completing the program.
- Con: It’s primarily well-known within Canada, so it doesn’t open as many opportunities in London or other parts of the world.
- Imperial College London (UK) - MSc Finance
- Ranked 2nd in the world and globally renowned, with an excellent reputation.
- Could open doors in Europe, the Middle East, and other parts of the world.
- However, living expenses and tuition are much higher, and finding a job in London/Europe as a non-citizen could be more challenging.
- Might not carry the same weight in the US and Canada compared to London.

Vorab: Student, verheiratet, ca. 15kkm jährlich, davon 6-8 Fahrten im Jahr 1200km.
Mein 2011er Opel Astra Kombi (0035 AND) mit dem 1,4er Turbobenziner (A14 NEL) bereitet mir Kopfschmerzen. Ich habe ihn vor gut 3 Jahren für 4600€ gekauft, 50.000 Kilometer drauf gefahren und zusätzlich zum normalen Service nochmal über 2000€ für Reparaturen draufgelegt.
Immer wieder war (ist) der Motor Ölfeucht, Ventildeckeldichtung sowie Ventildeckel wurden getauscht, die Motorkontrolleuchte und ich führen seit 2 Jahren eine heiße on-off-Beziehung (90% on) und sobald der Motor warm ist muss ich auf Umluft stellen, da wir sonst lecker Öldämpfe einatmen. ABER: Der Motor läuft rund. 185kkm gelaufen.
Mein Mechaniker in Polen hat mir nahegelegt, den Motor auszubauen und einmal zu erneuern - selbst in Polen kann das bis zu 2000€ kosten. Nachdem er allerdings am Telefon erfahren hatte, dass um einen Opel aus 2011 ging, wechselte sein Wortlaut zu "Verkauf dat Dingen doch".
Seitdem will ich (wahrscheinlich) einen neuen Kombi. Für 3-4TEur suche ich bspw. MB S203 C200K (Benziner). Klar, kann dann bei dem Auto auch was kaputt gehen, aber allgemein sind MBs doch zuverlässiger als Opels, oder? Es kann auch ein alter Passat oder Audi sein, hauptsache etwas, bei denen ich die 2000€ für Reparaturen weniger ungern hinlege und mir nicht eigentlich denke: "Wirklich? Für DIESES Auto?". Mein Herz will ein Auto, das ich lieben kann. Mein Hirn will nicht unnötig Geld ausgeben.
Nun die Fragen:
1) Würdet ihr den Astra reparieren oder doch lieber das Auto wechseln? 2) Wenn Wechsel: Zu Welchem (zuverlässigen) Kombi? 3) Wenn Wechsel: Was schätzt ihr, könnte man für den Opel noch kriegen?

Long story short, I (33F) am very close to my dad. I nearly lost him a few months back (he got really ill) and it broke me. My mom went completely mental shortly after, a lot worse than ever before. She somehow made his illness about her, started insulting me about how bad of a psychologist I am (it’s my job), insulted the way my dad runs his business, threatened to kick my sister out of the house and then accused my dad of having sexually abused us as children (definitely not true). My dad is doing a lot better now and he actually asked for divorce. We all had enough of her. Now she’s obviously blaming me for the divorce. And my sister had a big drug relapse after being clean for nearly a year and she’s struggling to get clean again and is suicidal.
I went no contact with my mom after that (2 month ago). At first I felt relieved but now the grief is overwhelming. As a psychologist I know that I miss what I wished the relationship could have been but I’m still struggling a lot. She had her good times in the past and I miss that. I feel like my entire family is falling apart, divorce, losing my mom, scared for my sister. I am just wondering if it ever gets easier to be no contact? I feel like if she was dead I could grieve her but she’s still out there and honestly I miss her.

Now I like Kohta Hirano but I was left disappointed with the little fanfics that were centered on this Chad so I thought of this fanfic idea that was also inspired by this manhwa called "The Last Human".
In this AU instead of some virus that's created the zombies (at least its speculated that it's a virus/disease) what if it was something more mystical and it was caused by something that didn't have humanities best interest?
What if some of these zombie evolved past mindless moving bags of flesh, where they become stronger, faster, smarter with their own unique abilities the more they consume humans. That's the world Kohta and the gang reside in this AU.
How there are some rare humans that have developed there own special abilities (granted most of them are useless) So the story starts when in episode 1 where he noticed that his eyesight is insanely good that he doesn't need glasses anymore. As he and Takagi would be going to classes to get away from the zombies but as they were making their way out a beaker of various chemicals that were mixed earlier by some delinquents would fall on Kohta get some in his eyes.
He would pass out of the pain and Saya would have no choice but to leave him. However a mutation would happen changing his body enhancing the powers he didn't know he had. As he opens his eyes he was greeted with zombies by the door. He would freak out and shoot lasers out of his eyes completely decimating them.
That's what I thought of so far of how he got his powers. In this fic most of Kohta's powers are eye/vision based. Here are the few he has/will discover: * Heat Vision/Optic Concussive blast * Super sight * X-Ray Vision * Infrared vision *Can see ghost * Night Vision * Speed Perception (I call these sight based powers the Optic Record) These are the vision based abilities that i have decided to give Kohta he also has 2 more which is an enhanced body and power bestowal to give other people random power. Now the Enhanced body isn't anything crazy, its just makes him a slightly strongefaster athletic human. The power is something Kohta wouldn't discover until he "Becomes a man". He can essentially give girls powers if he has sex with them. I mean come on I had to do it this is an ecchi series after all, plus I think Kohta deserves it.
Its's obviously a harem fic that's Kohta x Seako x Saya x Toshimi Nikki (and maybe I'll add another girl from a different series cuz why no. I'm open to suggestions). I could already see people scratching their heads and having cringe faces with Kohta x Seako. But this I think it could be interesting see, plus I much rather prefer this than her being paired with an OC character.
Anyways I'm curious what you all think?
