 | This ATO nearly cost me my livestock twice. Once when I was on holiday it hat an error and didn't top of at all and today it just would stop topping of far beyond the sensor. Luckily salinity only went down to 1.022 because I only store 10 L (2gallons). A lot of times it just stops working out of nowhere. Most times I just unplug it and it works again. I feel like a pretty big idiot right now, for the past few years I have been telling everyone that the "Truth" about aliens will be coming soon , but even though here in the next few months, there are going to be some announcements made, from our government telling us they have had contact with them, I doubt much of anything will actually be truth. Lie to us for the better part of a century , hide what ever you want, choose when to tell us, and what to tell us, redact or omit the rest, this has been the way , when it comes to everything, from Epstein to taxes, nothing is ever straight up, so I am making the personal choice to "forget about it" , all of it. I am done. 9/11 was proof that due to the fact that the majority of humans, (yes you as well) have less than a 100 IQ , those on the right side of the bell curve can spin a story your stupid ass will believe, including two commercial flights can implode 3 buildings with 0 explosives.... (this OBVIOUSLY wasn't what happened dummy) They also are well aware of the right side of our brains ability to rationalize the uncomfortable and they exploit it, so as you read this now, your brain is working tirelessly at convincing you that big bad evil government is just something stupid people subscribe to and you know the truth (read Machiavelli's the Prince) . Your brain is also working tirelessly to convince you that nobody has one up on you, that you have it figured out, whether its your god , or your education that has you feeling so confident, you are wrong, almost everything you have been told since you were young is a half truth, and for those that study far to much, you go in circles, because its never the whole truth. Ever. In the matrix there is a line where Cypher says ignorance is bliss, he meant this, he meant once you know the extremes those in power will go through or have gone through to stay that way, life just never hits the same, and small talk becomes the biggest chore. The next time someone asks you a question on any of these type of topics, respond with I don't know, if you want to tell the truth, for once.

2025.01.27 19:20 EvolvedChimpanzee Down grade HP Proliant DL380P G8 to DIY NAS + Thin Clients or server upgrade time?
I currently have a HP Proliant DL380P G8 that I have been rocking for about 7+ years. I upgraded the CPU, RAM(32gb total), and drives over time (8x2.5x900GB). It is still running strong, but I have been wanting to go to a lower power solution. I run ubunutu, and run plex and the Ubiquiti AP management software straight from the OS. I don't have docker setup (and I haven't gotten super in-depth with anything docker yet)
Requirements for new system:
NAS
- 4 drives or more solution, however I will probably just start with 2
- Lower power then the DL380P (which is somewhere between 60 to 80 watts idle)
- Plex record OTA
- Plex playback 1-2 steams mostly 720 or 1080p, maybe 4k once in a while.
- Ubiquiti AP management software
- Intel i3 (gen 10 or 12), MB, RAM (I have some ddr 4), PSU, OS drive, and Case looks to be about $400 to $500
- ASRock J4025M Intel, PSU, OS Drive, SATA Expansion Card, and Case , looks to be about $400, so I could save ~$100. I do have some concerns on how old and slow this processor is.
I have also looked at just upgrading my server to something newer. I like the dells a little more, as you can change hardware on them easier. You can pickup r330 or r530 for fairly cheap as well it seems.
Thoughts?

2025.01.27 19:20 DS9B5SG-1 A few questions about storing/canning in oil
I made sundried (ovendried 😅 ) tomatoes. The recipe calls to put them in a jar after they have been sufficiently "dried" and cover completely in (extra virgin) olive oil and it can store in the fridge for a couple of weeks.
My question is, does it have to be completely covered in oil to really be preserved for that long? I put some on on the bottom and then poured some more on top, maybe a quarter of the way up.
So to preserve it for weeks does it really need to be swimming in oil? Can I cheat and keep turning the jar on it's end once a day? Does it even need oil to begin with? Maybe the recipe just called for it, to quench the throat of the dried tomatoes and make them yummer! ☺️ It's from a cookbook, so I can not really ask the author.
Also, can the olive oil be reused over and over again in caning or at least after the batch is eaten for something else like cooking? I'd hate to waste good oil on a simple canning process.
It should be noted, I did try to sterilize the jar and lid with boiling water, although I probably should have kept it in a pot of boiling water, as the water cooled I'm sure, after a few minutes when just poured into the jar and lid on the countertop. Something to remember next time. Thank you.

Hi everyone,
1) I'm a old player, in 2009 after completing at Ninja Gaiden 2 (XBOX 360) on Normal several times, I tried Hard but got stuck in the infamous Dogs tests of courage, but I am pretty confident I could push to the end by ignoring the tests of courage.
Now, NG2 Black is a bit easier. Should I try Mentor or just stick with Warrior (which I assume would be easier than Hard NG2)?
It would be good to know from people which completed NG2 Black on Mentor already :)
2) If I complete the game in 1 difficulty, will I keep the same leveled equipment and health bar if I than start on a higher difficulty?

It makes me so mad when people park like shit, especially on purpose, but doing it on purpose AT A HOSPITAL is next level scum-of-the-earth. This is the Dana Farber parking garage. One of the busiest hospitals and the garage gets filled every single day with people coming to get life-saving treatments or coming to visit sick loved ones. To be so selfish to take up two spots like that, at a goddamn hospital, is absolutely disgusting. I genuinely hope this person rots. PS: no one gives a shit about your car.
