2025.01.29 02:54 BUZZKlLLlNGT0N PC of 8 years ‘Out of Date’
I’ve had my PC for 8 years, never changed any of the components. Just recently I was gaming and it shut down with no warning, after attempting to turn it on, the PC will boot but will not connect to my monitor.
I’ve tried everything from different monitors and different HDMI cables, I also tried a VGA cable.
I took it into a electronics store and they told me that it’s ’out of date’, I had to press them a little to ask exactly what was wrong and if there’s an alternative to just scrapping my current PC to buy a new one.
They finally told me the CPU, Motherboard and RAM were the issues, but i’m still confused as to how this happened, is it really as simple as those things being ‘out of date’ as I was told? I was also told that even if one of those components stopped working, I would have to buy everything new.
I plan to rebuild my PC, flip it, and buy a new Laptop.
Im just needing some advice on what I should do, do I have to buy CPU, Motherboard and RAM all new?

2025.01.29 02:54 LaVieEnBrat My mom's in the hospital and I'm home alone. Just kind of need some kind words.
So, my mom is currently in the ICU with diabetic ketoacidosis. I had to call her ambulance this morning after she couldn't stop vomiting. Previously, she'd only ever been to the hospital when she was giving birth. She's the only family I have, even if we don't get along/aren't emotionally close. I'm having to wonder now what my life would be like if, for some reason, she's gone sooner than later. I'd be completely alone in the world. I'm also in a transitionary period with my career right now, and still a bit down from some seasonal depression. I guess...I just wish I had someone to talk to. I'm all alone in the house- minus the cats. It's so weird (my mom and I rent together) and I didn't realize how lonely it would feel.

Hello all, I could really use some advice about how to make sauces that taste good to a picky eater (me). I am extremely picky when it comes to sauces and dressings, to the point where the primary sauce I'm willing to eat is tomato sauce and I won't even ever put any dressing on any salads or vegetables. However, I have enjoyed some sauces I've eaten at restaurants, especially sauces on Thai, Mexican, Himalayan, and sometimes Chinese dishes. Unfortunately, I do not know the names of those sauces or what exactly was in them. Does anyone have a recipe for a sauce that doesn't include any of the following ingredients? The sauce can be for vegetables, meats, etc. - just hoping to expand my sauce repertoire. Thank you!
- No worcestershire sauce
- No fish/seafood ingredients
- No soy sauce
- No coconut
- No 'unhealthy oils' like corn oil, canola oil, or seed oils
- No vinegar
- Ideally no olive oil, but if it is absolutely necessary, I'm willing to consider it (usually I cook with avocado oil)
- No mayonnaise (and nothing like ranch, either; nothing with weird egg-ish atrocities)
- No pickled items
- Ideally no sugar, because I'm trying to cook healthier dishes :)

I know that some versions of Monopoly Plus have My Monopoly, where you can essentially create your own board by naming all of the spaces. However, in all the comparisons I see between Monopoly Plus and the New game from this past September (PS5, XSX, PC, Switch), there's no mention of whether they kept the My Monopoly mode in the game. Can someone tell me?
