2025.01.30 08:41 Deeplands Nightmare Hulks base extenders

Nightmare Hulks base extenders I made base extenders for my Gellerpox Nightmare Hulks, so I can use em both in KT with 40mm bases and 40K as Chaos Spawn with 50mm.
These are ridiculously over-engineered with magnetic underlayer, the “correct” texture and all. But it was a fun little project to do, and seeing them in the cabinet besides my other two Spawns all on 50mm bases brings me immense joy. Just wanted to share

2025.01.30 08:41 Notadityaya Teacher asked me Are you single

So today was my external viva and the external was a pretty teacher. When my roll no. Came then out of nowhere she asked me "Single ho" she was really pretty and sweet her age might be around 25-26 and when she said that , for a second my brain got freezed I was like whaaaatt. And then she started asking about my hair btw I am a curly hair guy, like how did you grow so long hair I mean we were two guys there but still she was asking me about all this I don't know why. I was not able to answer about that Single wala question. I am really confused like what she wanted to ask exactly and I waited for her to ask about that but she was busy in taking viva of other students so I guess I fucked up and not able to see her again. Please do let me know what she really meant or am I overthinking too much about this.

2025.01.30 08:41 aesthetic_Goth What's your technique for recalling things at work/school?

As a Ni dom we're not really like Si doms who can store a databank into our brain and explain exactly recall what we did yesterday without a second of thought first.
When I speak, I don't even know what I'm going to say. My mind kinda just creates words as I speak and sometimes when I haven't studied it well enough, I find myself saying a lot of things that just aren't correct.
I really dislike this about myself. A few ISTJ's at work are really good at laying out the details, and I just can't unless I have deeply studied something.
My best bet is writing things down, but it's such low bandwidth that I wish there was a faster / more efficient way.

2025.01.30 08:41 Sure_Fig558 briefly went back to the RM2 and the experience was...

when I bought my pro my wife wanted to keep the rm2. she did for a while but we agreed yesterday that she hardly uses it so its best to sell it.
I wrote a few notes on it just to feel the difference and wow...
-The pen drags a lot more... lots of resistance on the screewn surface
- the latency is quite a lot compared to the Pro. I didnt notice so much when I switched to the pro but after 4 months using the pro and getting back to the RM2 its quite shocking the difference
Would I be able to use the RM2 again? most likely yes, but I would need a week or 2 to get dadjusted to the hardware again, especially to the pen/writting experience.

2025.01.30 08:41 Rossart Mysterious Inaccessible Boot Device BSOD

Hey PCMR folks - need your help in this as I'm honestly stumped in my investigation...
Ever since a random day in early January (no new hardware, no new software, no new BIOS settings, no power surge, nothing, just a generic day without any changes or notable events) my PC is refusing to BOOT for the FIRST TIME.
Start screen is loading for 1-2 minutes then it goes to Inaccessible Boot Device BSOD... Then restarts gets to Windows Repair Mode, which doesn't find any error, restarts the computer and lo and behold it boots into Windows....
This happens wihtout an exception no matter any changes boot related changes in the BIOS. (MoBo: GB AORUS X670; SSD: Kingston FURY Renegade 2TB M.2 PCIe NVMe)
Other interesting things:

Things I have done so far without any effect on the situation:
Anyone ever encountered something like that? Any other solutions I could try before I inevitably try to go through the hassle of a reformatting the drive and fully clean Windows reinstall?

2025.01.30 08:41 Signal-Indication859 debugging langchain voice agents locally w/ duckdb & preswald

if you’re building AI voice agents w/ langchain, you’ve probably hit some painful debugging issues. these systems rely on speech-to-text, intent classification, response generation, and text-to-speech and when something goes wrong, figuring out why is not easy.
some common problems:

logs are all over the place. whisper or deepgram for transcriptions, openai or rasa for intent classification, langchain traces for response generation, plus vector dbs like pinecone for memory. jumping between cloud dashboards or writing custom scripts just to debug one conversation is a pain.
instead of relying on cloud logs, you can analyze langchain voice agent failures locally using duckdb for fast queries & preswald for interactive dashboards.
how it works:
  1. capture ASR, intent, and response logs locally
  2. run instant queries w/ duckdb—no waiting, no cloud costs
  3. use preswald dashboards to visualize failures & spot patterns
this helps you:
we just open-sourced an easy way to do this. check it out here: https://github.com/StructuredLabs/preswald
if you’re working on AI voice agents, how do you handle debugging? what’s been the biggest pain for you?

2025.01.30 08:41 Giuseppe-Testerone I bought an E...*SOB*

It wasn't a Rebel as I've seen in many videos with much praise, it was an EMP 210.
I was really looking hard at the Miller 220, but one thing I've learned in my 60+years is something that does everything rarely does any one thing well. The millermatic 215 was a runner up at about 3 grand less.
I'm no pro by any means, but an old 225 tombstone and a lincoln 100 weld pack running FC have served me well over the years.
I recently got to try a friends MIG and fell in love. (with the process, not my friend, ok?)
So that's what brought me to my one and only local "Authorized" Lincoln, Miller, Victor dealer.
As I walked the floor eyeing millers, the Esab package caught my eye.
The EMP 210, plus a new miller helmet, gloves, cart, a 60cf tank of C25 with regulator and some other goodies for just under 2 grand seemed like a fair and rather complete setup.
I took it home, unboxed it and was a bit let down that there was no printed manual to pour over. Of course the net provided the pdf, but not the ink or paper, but still I printed out the 80 or 90 pages.
I've spent many many months before all this glued to weld.com, timwelds, Making mistakes with Greg and a whole slew of others.
I was excited and anxious to get started and started right in, but was very careful and mindful of the duty cycle, staying well below the parameters.
I would venture to say I might have put 5 total hours on it in two weeks just stacking short beads for practice.
I fired it up last night after spending the day setting up cuts, grinds, pieces and parts from my latest project.
I pulled the trigger, the wire didn't arc, but just squirted out a birds nest with a little glow of red where it all started.
I checked the ground and confirmed it multiple times, even switching to stick mode for further clarification that is was good and welding.
I removed the wire and the mig gun from the welder for inspection, but could find nothing wrong or suspect, but I did replace the tip anyway.
The next morning, my friend got nowhere with it as well, so I decided I'd return it, and go for the Miller 215. So off on a 100 mile round trip we went.
The good news: I got the Miller 215!
The bad news: The dealer told me to go pound sand on the 2 week old esab they sold me and deal with the manufacturer myself.
I sit here, stunned, flabberghasted, and pissed all at the same time, yet not surprised at the way this world just operates shittier and shittier everyday.

2025.01.30 08:40 Sensitive-Pipe-427 Stories of the first time you rented a “grown up” movie from the store?

As kids, we all seemed to ogle over the “family” section while our folks were browsing through the “boring grown up” sections filled with movies we wouldn’t even understand at that age. But once we got older maybe in our teens, our folks introduced us to movies they grew up with and could legit finally enjoy because we were old enough to have a much better comprehension of the world around us.
My first experience with this happened when I was 14 abs my sister was 16, when my dad rented One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and gave me a brief explanation about it. I was engaged into the movie within minutes by the premise of McMurphy being in what I now understood to be a “nut house”. But nothing prepared me for a surprise that would make me overjoyed that my old man surprised me with a film title I had never heard of.
Several minutes into the movie, there was a peculiar moment of turmoil amongst the patients with Tanner at the forefront (aka Christopher Lloyd). As a devoted fan of BTTF since I was a kid, I was overjoyed when I saw Doc Brown in this movie.
What movie rental made you guys realize you had finally grown up?
