 | Getting a septic-y smell in my basement. Not all the time, but I notice it a couple times a day when I go down there. Quick googling says a dried out drain trap is the typical culprit. Looking at the plumbing where it goes out to my septic I don't even think we have a drain trap (see photo)? So if i have no drain trap, thats why i am getting the smell? Any plumbers here that can confirm? I also read it might be a clogged exhaust pipe, so I will go up on the roof and check that later today. I m17 plan on cutting off my mother f42 shortly after my 18th birthday which is quickly approaching. My main concern is if this would be unreasonable and an overreaction on my behalf and would greatly appreciate some outside views.
Throughout my life growing up I was frequently threatened with abuse, verbally abused and occasionally hit. For as young as I can remember, I was threatened for crying, alongside this, I have vivid memories of hiding in corners and even my wardrobe at some point, I recall of getting shouted at for not adding an "x" to a single text message and was even starved for a week as I once told a teacher of my situation which caused staff to just tell my mother (dont understand why at all). As I grew older I was less physically harmed however the threats, insults and manipulative tactics worsened and are still frequently used against me. However throughout this I wouldn't have considered myself to be a child acting out, I have always kept to myself and have remained an introvert.
I have always been adamant that I desire to escape this situation however as my 18th approaches, despite being verbally treated like worthlessness, I'm questioning if this decision to cut her off is an overreaction and unreasonable because from what I am told this is "normal" and people typically go through worse however I also find myself afraid of such a drastic change of scenery, any insight would be helpful and greatly appreciated.
Additional insight; My father was never apart of my life from when I am able to recall, and (to my knowledge) has never attempted to be involved with me nor any side of his family so turning to him isn't exactly an option.

So, I had a vision, if you will, of a past life. I was a VERY blonde woman, slim-built, living in a cold, taiga-like forest in a wooden hut with my husband. We were outcasts—our people didn’t like us for some reason, so we lived far from the main village. I think it was during the Dark Ages—I mean, a LONG, long time ago.
I remember we had a dog that looked like a wolf, and oh lord, I miss that dog. It was incredibly smart! My house was made of wood, and it was dark inside because there were no windows. When you entered, there was a very rudimentary kitchen to the right, a fireplace to the left, and a bed covered in tons of fur.
There was a river nearby, and the woods were amazing. I vaguely remember being afraid of some animal (a bear? A wolf?).
In this memory, I was PISSED at my husband. He was a tall man with dark, shoulder-length hair and blue eyes. We were at war with some other people, and he was going to join our village’s fight. I was angry because the village didn’t even like us—so what was the point of him fighting for people who didn’t care about us? Plus, I believe I was pregnant—maybe three months along, at most.
Nothing I said could change his mind. He went to war (I’m talking rudimentary axes, maybe bows and spears), walked out of our forest, and told the dog to go back to me. I don’t remember exactly how, but I died sometime later. When he came back to our house, it was empty—only the dog was there. He was hurt and confused, not understanding why I was gone. He laid down and just stayed there, waiting.
I really wish I could pinpoint where this all happened. I know it's a LONG shot. This could probably be ANYWHERE in northern Europe. Anyways this has been my experience :)
