2025.01.30 15:27 Rich-Serve9006 H1B Dropbox experience Jan 3rd
January 3rd - Dropbox in Chennai January 7th - Received refusal status on CEAC January 17th - Received passport back home (Chandigarh) with a 221g stating I need to appear for an interview in Chennai. Status was refused throughout this time, got a text message and email on Jan 17th to collect passport.
January 23rd - I went for the interview at 830am was done and approved at the consulate by 9:30am. (Note: no lockers at the consulate…had my phone and all the stuff in a hotel 10 min walk from the consulate)
Questions were basic - designation, salary, job location, end client, job duties,duration of employment. Asked for all the documents mentioned on 221g and took my fingerprints.
January 23rd - CEAC updated to approved. January 24th - CEAC updated to issued Jan 30th - passport is ready for pickup
I work at an AI startup of 6 people in total, no end client.

2025.01.30 15:27 noozgirl25 Account suspended bc I can’t upgrade to Air
Hi all, I’ve now had my internet account suspended TWICE in the last three months because I haven’t upgraded to AT&T Air. While that in itself is annoying, the kicker is that I can’t even get Air in the area where I live!
I make all my payments, so you imagine my surprise the first time it happened. Turns out, AT&T is apparently suspending some accounts to basically force the customer to call and upgrade to Air. The agents I’ve spoken with both said this is happening to a lot of customers.
I work from home, so it’s extremely inconvenient to not have Internet and have to wait to speak with an agent to get it fixed. Is there any recourse to make sure it doesn’t happen again? The agent I spoke with today said it might. Shouldn’t they have my account on a list of - “can’t even get the service so please don’t suspend?” 😂 I just think this is crazy!
Just wanted to post my experience to see if anyone else has had this happen, and to warn other folks!

Hello! I wasn’t sure where else to pose this question so I come to you all as experts on fiber who probably know!
I have a few vintage sweaters, both black, one is cashmere angora blend, and one is wool.
I’ve noticed that when I wear them, entire surfaces of my house are finely covered in black lint. (This is most visible on white surfaces like the sink or toilet.) Maybe they’re brittle and finely disintegrating as I’m moving around?
Yesterday I was wearing the cashmere one and sweating during my commute so I rolled my sleeves up, and my arms were coated in black lint.
I love these sweaters and treat them with care, only hand washing with Woolite and laying flat.
Is it because the fibres are starting to disintegrate because they’re old? I don’t know how they were treated before I got them.
Do I just need to accept the shed? Thank you!

The excuses they offer, while possible, are absurd, and, far less likely than the simple fact that they are incompetent and malicious; probable. When is the last time this has happened? We’re a week in and he is firing all of the people that keep this country running. This is clearly his fault. Don’t believe the whatever bullshit possible excuse they throw at you.  | Because some of you out there may honestly not realize this…. “Do you have the CRJ in sight?” is a valid question if two planes are taxiing at an airport and you’re about to ask one to pass behind the CRJ. It is not a valid question to aircraft flying at night. We can’t see what kind of plane it is when it’s dark. All we see are lights floating in the blackness. Small planes can look big and big planes can look small because of infinitely variable distances and brightness/dimness of the lights. “You have traffic at your ten o’clock 500 feet above” is something we understand and will guide the pilot’s eyes to the right place.
