I recently got accepted into UMass Boston for communications, love the school. I won a scholarship and got a tuition cut, really pleased. However.... I am wondering if I should wait to hear back from Boston University before I enroll. I should hear back from them around April. It's my dream school because I really want to major in PR (even if I enroll in umass i would still strive for a career in pr). My question is should I wait to hear back or just enroll into umass now? I heard that the later you enroll (enrollment is due in like may) you have less classes to choose from and might get bad housing. I don't know, I'm a mess and stressed lol.

Hi, I have a plan to detect APT38's chain of attack using my Wazuh SIEM. I have outlined four detection steps:

Initial Access: Monitor spearphishing emails using SMTP logs and Wazuh's predefined rules for T1566. Detect exploits like EternalBlue using Wazuh's vulnerability detection or Nessus integration.
Execution: Detect PowerShell activity and Meterpreter sessions using Sysmon logs. Configure custom Wazuh rules for suspicious commands. For web shells, use Wazuh's File Integrity Monitoring (FIM) on web servers.
Persistence: Monitor scheduled tasks through Windows Event Logs (Event ID 4698). Configure Wazuh rules to detect new tasks or services created on the system.
Privilege Escalation: Detect credential dumping using Sysmon and Wazuh custom rules for tools like Mimikatz. Utilize vulnerability scanning for known exploits like EternalBlue.

Now, I want to design rules in Wazuh so that:

Each step triggers its respective rule independently.
When all four steps are triggered, a final rule, named "Traces of APT38 Detected," is triggered.

Additionally, I want to ensure that if the first step (e.g., a phishing email targeting a specific user) is triggered, Wazuh should remember this condition until subsequent steps (such as PowerShell activity on the same user) are triggered, even if days pass between these events. Questions:

What steps should I follow to achieve this chaining of conditions in Wazuh?
How can I configure rules so they wait for conditions over an extended period (e.g., days) to chain these detections together effectively?

2025.01.30 15:34 cinephileindia2023 Ponman (Malayalam). Review. A well-made drama with some solid acting and screenplay.

Watched it this morning. Highlights of the movie were the screenplay and the actors. Basil Joseph as Ajesh, Lijomol as Stefi, Sajin Gopu as Mario demonstrated rock solid performances. Writers Indugopan and Justin Mathew took a simple story and crafted an emotional screenplay around it that not only gives plenty of scope for the actors to play around but also conveyed the emotion very well.
Director Jotish Shankar gave complete freedom to the actors and it shows. Basil Joseph as a kindhearted yet hardworking jeweler (Not sure how to categorize his profession), Lijomol as a helpless lady who gets married off to a tough Sajin Gopu, all three shined in their respective roles. This must be Basil Joseph the actor's best work till date. He showed the conflict of his kindness and the toughness in his job brilliantly. The underdog was Lijomol who shined in the scenes where she had to show subtle emotions of selfishness and guilt.
The editing by Nidhin Raj Arol was crisp and he made sure there was enough time in between cuts for the emotion to sink in and yet kept the runtime at a perfect 2 hours. He never let the emotion and the narrative speed dip.
Overall, this movie was a terrific watch. Highly recommend.

So recently i realised i was qualified for the Anti Cheat Program which i thought was really cool. But Since realising it i havent gotten a single case to review. Does it depend on your rating how often you get a new case , is mine just too low or is it generally rare? Since im about 1100 i thought it would be really difficult to review duels in to 1200+ range but duels in lower ranges should be pretty simple to do.
