Hi, all!
I recently stumbled into the ocarina, because my son wanted one for Christmas. I requested two plastic Noble ocarinas, one for him and one for me, so I could encourage him and practice with him.
To my great surprise, the ocarina is so natural to me. The way I can control pitch with breath and fingers together is so expressive and fun. I'm having a blast!
The only problem is that the upper third of the notes on the Night by Noble Alto C are unpleasant to my wife and some of the kids when we're in the same room. What could I get that would be a really good-sounding and expressive instrument while also being more pleasant for those nearby?
Has to be less than 500 USD, and I would love to be closer to the 200 and under mark. I have two kids, plus two foster kids, and expenses keep going up.
Any help is appreciated!

As the title suggests! Recently bought a Player 2 tele I absolutely didn’t need but wanted.
Took it to practice and played it through my big amp for the first time and although it cut through distorted it sounded totally drowned out when clean. This in comparison to my other tele (77 custom with a SDQP in the bridge)
Anyone else found the Player 2s output to be a little lackluster or am I just too used to super hot pickups?

I say this because today a man was killed in Sweden for burning a religious book.
I’m a gen Z from a Catholic country in Southwestern Europe (Portugal), and despite being a very progressive center-leftie, who loves to learn about other languages and cultures, I can’t help but dislike the Abrahamic religions. The more I learn about them, the more I dislike them.
I attended a catholic school for most of my childhood and also attended Saturday lessons about Catholicism. While I don’t hold anything against the imdividual believers, I’m highly critical of the Abrahamic religious books, such as the Bible, the Torah and the Quran. I have a Bible and a Quran in my bookshelves so I know what I’m talking about. I studied the Bible for many years as a child and as an adult. I’m very interested in Religion studies and I like to watch Youtube channels such as “Religion for Breakfast” and Art History.
I love the South Asian dharmic religions such as Buddhism and Jainism, for their ethics, and I’d prefer if Portugal had more Buddhists and Jains than Christians.
Now, I know that religion can also bring about good things such as charity and compassion, but the books are antiquated and bad for society in general.
I have nothing against Christians, Jews or Muslims, but I just don’t like their religion as a whole.
I really think Catholicism should reform to allow women to become priests and allow priests to marry. I feel very strongly about this.
That’s it, that’s my rant.
