2025.01.30 17:50 ____annon____ how to shift my unconscious thoughts in a positive direction?
I am used to thinking about uncertainty, imagining all the bad situations so that I can be prepared in case they happen. For example, I take an extra credit card and some cash with me in case my main card doesn't read. I take toilet paper with me in case I have go to the bathroom. I write down an address on a piece of paper if I go to an unfamiliar place, in case my phone goes off, etc. I hate uncertainty. But now my brain is used to imagining bad situations and he's become dependent on those bad thoughts, and sometimes I notice that I'm constantly thinking (unconsciously) about something bad and I don't like it and I don't feel good about it. My brain imagines that I'm at war and death is near (I'm definitely not going to war and I'm not going to die), or my girlfriend betrays me and I have the right to blame her. (there's no premise)
Any thoughts on this?

So with all the news about cutting amazon volume and Tome saying they plan on saving money by closing buildings, cutting down the fleet, and cutting down the workforce, what will UPS look like over the next few years? I’m a 5 year driver facing layoff even though our building is getting hammered with work. I know they won’t be hiring anymore drivers but will us lower drivers be out of a job within the next couple years with these plans? Everyone online blames the union and the new contract for all of this, so what can the union do for us at this point?

...tank now? I don't want to go to the play-in tournament. I want a high draft pick. We have two cracks at it (ours and Hawks'). Hitting this draft pick will be HUGE for long term success, whether it is Flagg or either Rutgers kids (we can dream) or any of the others (French PG, BYU kid, Illinois kid, etc.). It doesn't matter who but at least one of the picks have to hit (NBA starter). Then we can get free agents and trade other assets to complement based on Castle's and others' development). I don't see the point of doing another 9/10 play-in, like what we did with Dejonte vs. the Pelicans a few years back.

I have a yoga 7i. It has intermittent touchpad problems. Every so often it works then it goes away again. It doesn't work on either Windows 11 or Ubuntu. I don't think its a hardware problem but I really don't know for sure. Anyone else having a similar issue? What are some great ways to trouble shoot this issue?
