I’ve been playing acoustic guitar for 3 months now and can switch between open chords somewhat efficiently (at least 50-60 changes per minute for all of them) and can hold down an F chord but not for a long time. I also am studying and practicing digitation on the minor pentatonic and C major scales, and am actively trying to memorize the fretboard.
I know John’s songs are famously hard to play, but it feels amazing playing one of his songs (been practicing his rendition of XO which is one of his easiest to play). So I ask: which other songs can I start learning being a beginner player? I don’t know any finger picking yet but will pick it up soon enough.

Just received an email for the dean’s scholarship. It’s 10k a year which is actually more than what I was expecting considering what I’ve heard people receiving last year with good stats. However, I am silly and thought the tuition was about 30k instead of 38k because I did not check what year I was getting the info from before. So it basically feels like a 2k scholarship now since I thought it was cheaper😭 Still grateful though

Sorry, but it’s softcore, I usually defend art which has a large but still realistic/normalish chest (usually also matching chest to rest-of-body fat ratio), not fucking 5000 pound backbone destroyers, with a slim waist so it isn’t even proportional. I’d say that’s NSFW, not just a women with a large chest, there’s a different between “thicc” and “deviantart hourglass inflation fetish” 😭

2025.01.30 18:41 MysticMarbles Does anybody make an affordable (see note) 36" electric range?
Doing up the plans for our place, switch from a 9' by 5' L shape to a 12x9 galley, and we are struggling on our admittedly not well laid out rear control electric with big cast iron pans and a larger wok. We would also love a griddle integrated.
Note: affordable is subjective and I'm fine with a 36" surface mount above a cabinet mounted 30" oven or whatever is needed. It just seems like 36" gas tops are common as all hell and consistently priced with 30" models (like, 20" more for 20" more space or whatever) and I'm only seeing 1 model in Canada which is $7600 (can't remember the make). We have had no issues with all of our old appliances (fridge dw stove washer dryer all totalled $2300) but I'd be willing to stretch the budget a few k to fit the dream range in.
With that said, any recommendations on a 30" electric thst makes better use of that width would also be appreciated (sub 2k preferred can reach if needed). Currently we have a 12" lodge cast iron that is encroaching in the burner placement behind and to the left when we have the 12", a large pot, a 10" cast and another 8 cast offer saucepan going (I have a full BK pot set with multiples of some, haha) and also want to buy a 14" Finex cast once we get a stove with a heating element bigger than 8" or whatever our lil insignia stove currently has.

And no, 2 crazy cooks can not function with 6sqft of unoccupied counter space all of which is in the #%@$ing corner, in case you were curious. We have several ikea carts being used as prep space currently.

I have 8 years of HR and Compensation experience. I do have a BS in business and communication. I worked as a mortgage processor for a year. Recently my role was impacted and got me thinking what better way to take a chance and look into a career in financial fraud. I started taking courses in KYC and AML.
