Hi all, trying to find the right sub for this question.
I have a controller that operates a 120V A/C relay (essentially an alarm contact). This relay is connected to mains power and, when closed, it energizes a 12V power supply which in turn opens a normally closed solenoid valve. Unfortunately, there is no available diagram for the controller and relay to determine the surrounding components on the circuit.
When the relay is closed, the system functions as expected. However, when the relay is open (off), the solenoid intermittently opens every 10-15 seconds. Upon troubleshooting with a multimeter, I observed that the 12V power supply's voltage gradually increases until there is enough power to activate the solenoid valve. This action drops the voltage back to 0, causing the valve to close, and the cycle repeats continuously. I have attempted to replace both the solenoid valve and the power supply with different models, but this did not resolve the issue. Directly connecting the multimeter to the relay outputs without the 12V power supply does not show any A/C voltage.
Adding a secondary A/C load (such as a lamp) alongside the DC power supply resolves the issue, presumably by absorbing any leaking voltage/current and preventing the solenoid from activating.
Could you provide any further advice on troubleshooting this issue or suggest a more robust solution than using a lamp to absorb the stray voltage? Please note that this controller system operates 24/7 (it is used for an aquarium) and remains in the open/off state for approximately 14 hours each day.

i ordered one of my transcripts from parchment and the other through wgu and both have not been received even though i got an email from parchment saying that one was received.
i really would like to start on the 1st of march and can’t help but feel like they got lost or someone’s just not looking close enough idk?
anyone else have an issue with getting transcripts to wgu? am i doing something wrong? on parchment i put the reason for transcripts was admissions. should i put another reason??

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find the answer - I ran the SS for the first time today in a lee sporting lower, on a full size AP5 using a GMR standard trigger, and a SKOprints v3 lightweight trip, and I was able to get about 2 or 3 round bursts off before the gun would stop. The cam is locked in the rearward position but the gun will pick up a live round and chamber. I have to manually cycle it to reset it. I'm also using the rubber buffer that lee sporting provides for the recoil spring. I have no issues running the gun in semi btw.
Function testing it seems to have no issues cycling and resetting, only live firing. Everything on the bolt is factory. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

So I take hobby photos of cosplay at conventions, and after coming back from one this weekend I’ve noticed the photo sharpness are of terrible quality this time around. Some were shot wide lens mode, which I know degrades quality as well. It’s possible that storage space or other factors may have affected the quality more than usual but it got me thinking it might be best just to use a dedicated camera. Thing is I don’t really want to lug around my DSLR anymore so I want something relatively pocketable but not too expensive because it’s just a side hobby.
I know smartphones use a lot of AI and algorithms to improve image quality, but if I can at least get a crisp photo in relatively low light, I don’t mind doing the rest of the edits myself. I also very much like taking wide lens perspective shots but I’m not sure if I can just edit photos to look like it was taken with a wide lens instead of actually needing to switch to a wide lens manually with a camera. I saw a post saying the Olympus E-PL3 was a pretty good choice for cheap, but I don’t know anything about cameras, let alone interchangeable lenses, and if I’m buying used I can’t really return anything I buy in ignorance or accident.

The Peavey Centurion Mark III looks really appealing but I can't seem to find any that aren't local pickup only. I'm aware there are lots of guitabass heads that resemble the Centurion a lot, so what are my best options here?

2025.01.30 18:20 mark42000 How can we get the system to run in stage one predominantly on a two stage system?
Hi,
I’d like some recommendations on a thermostat that will do the following things when paired with a Comfortmaker C4H7T and Comfortmaker FTM4 two stage heat pump system.
1. Have the system run in stage one rather than stage two when the set point is between ten to one degrees away from the current indoor temperature. (Currently the system runs in stage two until the indoor temp is almost to the set point).
2. Be able to vary the differential from set point before heat or cool turns on. i.e, allow the indoor temp to vary two or three degrees (instead of one) from the set point before kicking on.
I don’t like to leave the set point at one setting all of the time and prefer to run the system intermittently (but in stage one) since our schedule changes.
