2025.01.30 18:33 Ill-Fox-8540 Head tremors in dog but cannot figure out the cause
My foster dog ( a 7 month old mutt) started to have these head tremors. Her head bobs left and right on Dec 26. She was less energetic. Seemed a little wobbly. We took her to the emergency vet and was told that it is likely THC poisoning. They didn’t test her blood, just gave her some fluids and sent her home. These tremors kept happening in the next month. She would have an episode with similar symptoms and last for a day or two, but these tremors only happened at night time. I pushed for a blood test because I believe there is more going on. The blood test showed that she has elevated phosphorus (2.3 rather than the normal range of 2.0) and elevated liver enzyme ( I believe is ALP where she had 294 and the upper limit is 190). The doctor is trying all kinds of things to see if it will help her tremors. They prescribed gabapentin and an antibiotic that can be released into the brain just in case she has an infection in the brain. She is going to get another blood test to address the elevated liver enzyme. I am wondering if anyone has similar experience or have any advice for possible more testing that could be done? The doctor said that the elevated items in her blood test might not be the reason that she is shaking and I am just really worried that we might not find a solution/cause of the tremors. Not sure if these are also part of the symptoms. She also had an eye infection and persistent diarrhea/soft stool since her tremors started.

I live in Michigan and my Monstera is having a hard time due to the low sunlight, dry environment. Ive been doing my best to provide it with what I can:
Keeping it near a window Watering every week to maybe one in a half Humidifier near the plant.
But its still giving me a tough time. Leaves are turning yellow.
I was hoping to divide the plant and give them their own pots. (There are a few monsteras in one pot right now).
Is there a specific time I should do so? Maybe around spring?

It was so infuriating to watch the segments pan between Kailyn trying to figure out housing and school arrangements for herself and Isaac with little familial or financial support, while Jenelle’s mother was willing to house her and her child while she worked and went to school. Barbara’s faults and misdeeds aside, this was a golden opportunity for Jenelle!!
All she had to do was focus on finishing school and getting a job, raking in some savings, and establishing a career path for herself. How on earth does someone fumble this?? She could have had it made! She could have had a house and a car by now, a degree and a career she could use, and hell maybe even could have found a decent stepfather for Jace. One that isn’t an abusive monsterous freak. But she fucks it all up for some doped up idiot that mumbled a couple of sweet nothings in her ear. All it took was some fleeting male attention to get her to fuck up her whole life..insane.
This rewatch has reminded me that she has in fact been garbage since day one, I don’t even know what to say at this point. I have friends who were teen parents, and they desperately wish they had mothers who were around or even alive to support them. Seeing someone fail so terribly through their own deliberate actions despite being given the support system is an insane thing to witness

Tut mir leid dass es so lang ist, ich bin aber dankbar für jeden von euch der sich das trotzdem durchliest.
Ich (32F) bin seit 13 Jahren mit meinem Mann (30m) zusammen, davon über 3 Jahre verheiratet. Wir haben einen 3-jährigen Sohn. In letzter Zeit frage ich mich immer öfter, ob unsere Ehe noch Sinn macht.
Mein Mann war immer schon chaotisch. Es hat mich gestört, aber die positiven Dinge haben überwogen. Wir haben viel zusammen gemacht, wir hatten Spaß zusammen, und auch in schwierigen Situationen zusammengehalten und immer vernünftig kommuniziert.
Es hat vor unserem Kind schon angefangen, ich habe es nur nicht gemerkt... oder wegignoriert, ich weiß es nicht.
Die Leichtigkeit ist weg. Wir können kaum noch scherzen, es gibt wenig Nähe, und Intimität ist selten. Wir unternehmen selten etwas zusammen. Der Impuls kommt immer von meiner Seite, obwohl ich meinen Mann darauf angesprochen habe, dass ich mir das auch von ihm wünsche.
Ich fühle mich oft nicht ernst genommen. Wenn ich Sorgen o.ä. äußere, klingen die Antworten so, als wäre ich zurückgeblieben. Beispiel: ich mache mir Sorgen um das Kind. im KiGa sind Grippe, Rsv, Bindehautentzündung... Antwort von ihm: "Willst du nicht, dass unser Sohn ein Immunsystem aufbaut?" Na klar will ich das, aber Sorgen mache ich mir trotzdem und würde gern darüber sprechen.
An unserem zu Hause zeigt er wenig Interesse. Wäsche wird gewaschen, Küche sauber gemacht. Das wars dann aber auch. Ich habe ihn auf leichten Schimmelbefall angesprochen. Ich habe ihn darum gebeten, dort wegzumachen, wo ich nicht drankomme. Das war vor Monaten. Ordnung allgemein... naja. Essensabfälle werden regelmäßig im Spülbecken abgelegt statt in den Mülleimer, der direkt daneben steht. Klamotten werden irgendwo hingeschmissen. Wir haben schon einmal einen Campingtrip abgebrochen, weil mein Mann und sein Kumpel unser Zelt so vollgemüllt haben, dass ich es nicht mehr ertragen habe.
Die Anziehung geht auch verloren. Er trägt immer seine kaputten Klamotten, will keine neuen kaufen. Rasieren geht für die Firmenevents, sonst aber nicht. Beim küssen habe ich den halben Bart in der Nase :(
Zu unserem Sohn ist er super lieb. Auch wenn er ihn manchmal im Schlafanzug in den KiGa schickt, wenn der kleine krank ist, ist er da. Spielen, spazieren, läuft alles. Das drumerum wie die U-Untersuchungen, Zahnarzt, aber auch Fasching oder whatever leider nicht.
Wir haben in den letzten Jahren viel durchgestanden, und er war in schwierigen Situationen immer da. Aber eine Beziehung besteht ja auch aus Alltag oder?
Wir haben immer geredet, immer alles angesprochen, es ändert sich nicht. Ich bin erschöpft. Ich habe Angst, dass ich übertreibe oder vorschnell handle. Vielleicht ist es nur der Stress? Vielleicht geht es vorbei? Oder bin ich wirklich unglücklich in der Ehe? Ist das die Phase mit dem Kleinkind?
TL;DR:
Meine Ehe fühlt sich nicht mehr gut an. Wertschätzung, Intimität und gemeinsame Aktivitäten fehlen, ich bin erschöpft. Ist es nur der Stress mit Kleinkind – oder bin ich wirklich unglücklich?

2025.01.30 18:33 cecassafrass An unexpected twist - our first Fresh Transfer tomorrow. Advice? Vibes? Success stories?
After an absolute rollercoaster of a week and based on a LOT of advice from everyone here in this subreddit, we are moving forward (hopefully) with a Fresh Transfer from our first ER tomorrow. You can see more of our journey this week on my post history. We are tempering our expectations and hopes, but weirdly, the change of plan has calmed by brain in a way I can't describe. Perhaps it's simply the act of making a decision that has made everything seem so much more peaceful.
We were very lucky to receive an update from our embryologist yesterday on Day 3 that all four of our fertilized eggs had reached the 8 cell stage - an absolute blessing - and that even our one abnormal fertilized egg (a 3PN zygote) had also split into 8 by yesterday afternoon. At the same time, we know most of the drop off in attrition occurs between Day 3 and Day 5. Still, we've felt hopeful since her call.
Assuming we have a single good blast tomorrow, we'll be doing a fresh transfer. We will decide by Saturday if we want to send any remaining blasts off for PGT. We had debated transferring two if possible, though we haven't fully made a decision on that. I think it will all depend on what we see tomorrow.
We're incredibly grateful for hundreds of responses to various questions we've asked in this subreddit this week. Now we're asking for any advice for a fresh transfer. We'd also love to hear any fresh transfer success stories.
What a wild ride this entire thing is. Thank you for allowing us to vent about it here.
