I started my career in 2020 in product at a great company. I climbed the ladder quickly, loved what I did in the consumer space and my team was incredibly supportive. Come 3 years in 2023, I decided to leave my job and join another startup as a PM. As the only PM, my founder expected me to lead a team of engineers - but 8 months down the line, the culture became incredibly abusive and toxic. While I could take it as an IC, I didn't see myself seeing that kind of leader and hence decided to leave. It's been a year since I left (Feb 2024) where I have done some freelance roles here and there but nothing concrete. I'm exhausted, burnt out applying to PM/PMM roles and getting ghosted. Every single time I get my hopes up, I get rejected and find myself at square one. I feel defeated, tired and behind all the grand plans and ambitions I had for myself. I stare at LinkedIn most days for the last 6 months after exhausting all my networks, and I call it a night. I never envisioned seeing myself scraping the bottom of the bottom of the barrel - but is it out of leftovers too. I'm stuck. If anyone has any advice, I would love some. Things I have done: reached out to my network, cold emailed founders, sent cold Linkedin DMs, asked folks for referrals, applied on all job networks.

I am a consultant to several health plans across the US serving Medicaid members. We are getting a lot of communication from our boards and CEOs about what's going on with the frozen federal funds, which was rescinded, and what is happening at the state level. Everyone is saying the same thing and I wanted to summarize that information for anyone who works in our field or is receiving benefits and is concerned about the future.
- The federal freeze on grants and loans shut down the portal states use to request funding throughout the year.
- That portal has returned to service and no states I'm aware of had any interruptions in federal funding.
- Federal funding is based in part on your state's FMAP, which ranges from 50% for rich states like NY and CA and 76% for poor states like MS.
- Expansion members are covered 100% by fed funding so that tips the scales toward higher fed match than the FMAP suggests.
- That means states have funding to weather short term interruptions and will not impact members unless the funding is changed permanently through Congress.
- Sources tell me these efforts are to test the limits of presidential power with a conservative court.
- These tests will be challenged and paused while the courts escalate to SCOTUS.
- Nothing is likely to happen before June and probably later than that.
- Medicaid directors and governors across the country are aligning to escalate legal challenges and will take time to resolve.

Hi,
Long story short, I was cooked in my high school so I am restarting high school from scratch, I aim to apply to big unis (say T25s) by 2026, so I need to complete or at least be in junior year by then, I am planning to do Honors/College Prep course, I have few perimeters like -
- tuition wise
- how fast can I do the whole high school?
- would the unis object to the online school system?
- would unis accept the diploma?
- would it be rigorous enough for unis?
- would unis object if I do in such short time frame?
I would really appreciate any insight or personal experiences, I need to fix my thing asap so please be kind!
