In my line of work I occasionally stumble into a door, filing cabinet, or server housing that is locked and no one can find the key. It is usually a major time suck while some admin calls up every manager to find the one key or I can eventually get permission to just break it open with a screwdriver (obviously not preferred as it is then inoperable and damaged.)
I was thinking of investing some spare time in trying out lockpicks and was curious how many people actually carry or use these? The basic "how to" videos online seem easy enough, with practice, for the type of indoor and furniture locksets that I would be interested in busting into.
Is lockpicking really a useful EDC skill easy enough to acquire with a little practice or is it just a niche hobby for certain people online?

I’m in a calorie deficit and i’ve been walking 10k + steps for around 2 months now but just 2 days ago when i was walking for awhile, the right lower side of my right foot began to hurt everytime i took a step, this happened on Tuesday, the next day i continued to walk but obviously the pain was still there and also today aswell, i usually only walk 10k+ steps monday thru friday and take the weekend off for resting, i know i should stop right now but at the same time i want to make as much progress as possible, if i stop i won’t lose as much as weight as i possibly could, i was wondering if anyone has any good advice on what i can do for my foot to stop hurting fast (if there is one i am not aware of)

That’s the theme here. The answers to these questions are relevant only based on how we answer this “can we use agency to do anything about it?”
A similar thing is seen in art especially in the art of antiquity “does art imitate life or is it the other way around?”
In the matter of art I think it shows how agency factors in, it takes a great amount of agency to fill a blank canvas and just as much to see an act in a painting and recreate it.
And ultimately what can we say about the agency of the individual? Are we not all part of some collective mental movement(s)

The fanfiction universe is a big place, and even in a single fandom, not everyone reads every character or pairing out there. If you want good results when posting about your work, please tell us what fandom(s) and what characters it is about, at minimum--and it's even better if you give a little bit more info about the plot.
I've noticed this happening about once a week in various fanfic subs, and I don't want to smack down anyone's enthusiasm (or sound like I'm telling anyone to get off our lawn). I just really think you'll get better results if people don't have to click away from the site to find out the details. You don't need to post graphics or come up with a 'perfect' summary, either. As a 'fandom aunt' who's been doing this for 20+ years, send me a DM and I can even help you come up with a post, if you're nervous (I'll put a rough template here but I'm conscious that I'm likely older than a lot of you and this might be too formal/elder millennial in its language, feel free to tweak).

Maybe I'm overstepping or off base here, but I always feel sorry for excited writers who post links without much more info. I imagine they start out posting with hopes that they'll get some readers, and maybe they get sad or confused when there isn't much of a reaction. I can't promise doing this will get the reactions you want, because there could be any number of reasons why people don't click--but this is a big one, I think. I am pretty set in my own niche rare pair ways, so usually the stories aren't from anything I know about or usually read, so I thought maybe posting this would help more than reading 'fandom blind' (meaning you read a story when you don't know anything about the source material).
