Just venting.
Back in August couldn’t run 2 miles without huffing and puffing, decided to get in shape and signed up for a half in November. Followed the Hal Higdon intro to half marathon was ready for it then had to cover a surprise call shift. Bummed but in good condition I tried to find another half nearby but none aligned with my schedule.
Saw there was a full in February not far from me so decided to sign up and just go for it. Switched to the Higdon intro to marathon. I’ve followed these programs religiously since August and am 2 weeks out and just got the email that the marathon is cancelled.
On top of that I signed up for another half to fit into the end of my training and it was cancelled last weekend bc of the freak snow storm that hit the South.
So I’ve signed up for 2 halves, and a full and all have been cancelled or had other things come up.
Super bummed especially bc of the progress I’ve made going from barely running 2 miles to being able to bang out 20+ with a HR under 150 while balancing the time constraints of medical residency I really wanted to check it off the bucket list.
Oh well. I’ll probably just run 26.2 solo on the day I was supposed to do it and count it in my head as a goal accomplished.
Sorry for the rant I just figured you guys could relate to the effort it takes to get this far.

2025.01.30 18:49 Serious_Cream3790 Has anyone been ghosted after the verbal offer?
An HR rep from A company called me a day after two interviews letting me know that everyone liked me and they would like to give me an offer. They knew I already held another offer from B company so I gave them a number I got from B which was about 10K higher than A offered in the call. HR rep told me she would talk to hiring managers and get back to me with an offer letter a day after as it was my due date to let B company know.
Two days and one reminder email later I still haven't heard from A. I can't believe they just ghosted me.. feels so unprofessional. But now I'm thinking maybe this is why they gave me verbal offer over the phone not via email (which company B did). Is this common?

An apology to anyone I've broken promises to. Its for the best.
I know i just need to meet people. But its better that I don't. I'm a narcissist, which is why I'm making this post. However I'm lonely. It is not appropriate for me to get close to people even if I wish to.
There's a rally and its made me more depressed, because I've been kicked out of the lgbtq community. Its hard being a bad person, because we do not and cannot have community.
I guess if there's anyone else who can relate and is open to conversation but not a relationship or friendship, sharing words could make one feel less insane and less likely to throw things out the window. I'll go meditate in the meantime.

 | I currently have GERD I developed 2 years after my ETS (not service connected) and I’m a rated 70% for anxiety, which I was diagnosed with during my MEDBOARD, initially 50% but has increased to 70%. I’m filling for GERD secondary to anxiety. I checked the app this morning to make sure it’s there, and it states I’m appealing my gen anxiety? Is this just because I’m filling for a secondary condition to my anxiety? Or should I be concerned it was filed incorrectly? I have a Dell Latitude E6420 that I want to connect a Dell UltraSharp U3419W Monitor to. Is it possible? If so, what do I need? I tried getting a USB C Female to USB Male Adapter but it did not work, but it does recognize something is plugged in.
