It's been a while since I had an update, so here we go.
Aronar's Armory (and Grimoire) Late 2024 and into mid-January, I was working on these two supplements with the idea to get them both out (underestimating the workload). Most of this (95%+) was on Armory which involved writing some new content and revising earlier content in response to metrics and tests, but more so on also writing the R 5e 2024 version - I was aiming at these being the first "both versions" releases, but updating this (and Grimoire) is more work than it seems since things need to be completely rewritten (e.g. Feats), some things only exist in one version (e.g. Mastery Properties), and there are subtle language differences between the versions (which is more proofing and editing). In response, I've sidelined these, which turned out to be a good decision.
Expanded Fighter Update Moving on, I looked into updating at least one product (to see the actual work involved and to keep products relevant for groups moving forward). Updating the subclass mechanics was pretty easy overall (I chose Fighter for this reason), but I did encounter one large problem: What to do with the PC Concepts section. For those who own any of the Expanded Class supplements, you now there is a section that offers 8 character concepts that includes recommended subclasses, backgrounds, and other choices based on class. Backgrounds was the issue.
Backgrounds serve different purposes in 5e 2014 and R5e 2024. The revised version Backgrounds are more mechanical (they determine your ability score bonuses and 1st-level feat). This meant that the 2014 advice on flavorful backgrounds for a class-specific character concept just wouldn't translate into the 2024 rules. It would be folly to recommend a background that doesn't match with ability score options or that has an unsuitable feat. I explored a number of options:
- Convert them into "Aspirations" - a type of Background alternative for higher level PCs or those that undergo training the supersedes their upbringing. This creating two issues. Not all concepts adapt into an origin very well (especially for spellcasters), and, more importantly, it would flood the background (8 per class with 16 supported classes equals 128 new backgrounds, which IMO is absurd).
- Remove the section completely.
- Retain the section and refine the background selection, and create new backgrounds to support it, offering 4 backgrounds per supplement with duplication (aimed at 28 total new backgrounds). I pursued this in earnest for a time, and it required pre-planning for all of the classes, creating a matrix to dole out all of the stat distributions and aligning classes with similar ability score needs). It also required some duplicated content by importing Origin feats from AA and AG, and thus more pre-planning.
- Rewrite the section without referencing backgrounds, and instead recommend skill proficiencies. This is what I ultimately landed on. It's cleaner, I can then be more liberated in only creating backgrounds I feel are strong niches or that include the new Origin Feats and then include them in the relevant source book so it's just in a single place.
Regarding the Banneret. At first, I this wasn't going to be much of a note (and if I dropped this post a few days ago, that would have been the case). I wasn't planning to convert the Banneret update/upgrade to 2024 originally, offering WotC the chance to do a pass on it first as a professional courtesy. However, WotC recently dropped the Forgotten Realms subclasses on DnDBeyond's Unearthed Arcana, and included a new Purple Dragon Knight (the alternate name used for the Banneret). The new version is more a dragon rider than it is a leademarshal. In light of this, the Banneret will be included with the 2024 version as a 5th subclass (typically Expanded is restricted to 4 subclasses with extra content only being variants or patches to existing subclasses).
Psychic and Spiritual Handbook 2024 The release for the R5e version will probably take longer than anticipated because WotC isn't releasing monster creation rules, meaning that I have to rely on design instinct, analyzing the Monster Manual (whenever it arrives), and testing stuff. It will be out as soon as it's ready, but I'm not sure if that will be this half of the year or not. This issue also affects Wild Shape Templates and Expanded Druid and Ranger since those also include monster stat blocks.

I’ve been trying to find the belt size online and even called Toyota. I was given 3 different belt sizes when I checked online (not sure why there would be different sizes), Toyota could only give me the part number 90118-WBA55. I also checked user manual and nothing.
