Hey everyone,
Reading through the beautiful post u/brokemodem made here today and all of the wonderful, welcoming, and caring comments- I have been pondering the idea of starting an online group that meets bi-weekly or monthly. I welcome and appreciate any input/ideas, and would like to know if any women here would be interested.
Some of the basics I have been thinking of: -1 hour meeting (but can go over time if it is wanted/needed)
-cameras would not be required for those uncomfortable (though I am trying to decide a screening protocol to ensure the safety of all members and the sanctity of the group) thinking of maybe just a quick 1 on 1 zoom intro where video would be required- open to ideas!!
-starts with a group discussion on how everyone is feeling that day, as well as a “topic of discussion”. Besides the first meeting, the topic of discussion would be one that was voted on/chosen during the previous meeting.
-after discussion is finished, break-out rooms will be created where we would spend 5 minutes going back and forth sharing praise for the women in your break out room (this would involve nothing to do with one’s “looks”, cameras would still not be required) and then 10-15 minutes for discussion. I am contemplating 1 on 1 breakout rooms, but have been pondering breakout rooms of < 5 just in case 1 on 1 may be too imposing for some to feel comfortable.
-I would very much like to get some team-mates on leading the charge with this, particularly at the top of my mind as I am feverishly typing this in a time-constraint: a trans woman, a bipoc woman, and a cis-het woman. Am absolutely open to others as well! I am a bi white woman so I want every possible person to feel represented and welcome, please forgive me if I missed an important group and correct me.
The intent of this group is to provide a safe space where we as women are able to come and listen, discuss, speak, and relate.
Again, any input is appreciated welcomed. I am heading in to a meeting but will respond to any comments when I am free. Thank you, fellow women! 💜

When using a tripod, can I use slownshutter speeds, as long as nothing is moving in the shot. My aperture is 8 and I'm keeping my iso around 500 to keep a clean image. I've read you should and you shouldn't online. I'm using 1/6 to 1/10 with exposure bracketing as well

Two years ago my fil passed away a month later my mil adopted a dog. Good for her. Seven months ago she moved into her motorhome in our backyard while her house is up for sale. We also have four dogs. Things have progressed so that my mils dog thinks he needs to be in our house all day long. I understand he like to be with the pack. He only goes “home” at night when we send him home. I do try sending him during the day but it’s futile. It’s also gotten so that he eats every meal here as well. In all fairness she does provide his food. The problem is that he barks at the door all day long to be let in and out. Our dogs have tags that allow them to come and go, but the system is stretched at having four tags. He is able to make it in/out when he follows one of our dogs but his barking is beyond annoying at this point. Personally I think that since he’s her dog and supposed to be her companion that she should do more to keep him “home”. Part of me wants to invest in a fence for the motorhome so that he’s forced to stay home. Am I wrong?

Yesterday my friend told me a very funny joke and I laughed out loud, then I remembered life has no meaning, so I immediately stopped because what’s the point, right?
When I got home, I let my goldfish go because what’s the point in having a goldfish, because one day we are all going to die and nothing matters. Then I got confused because what was the point in letting him go, right?
Then I jumped on reddit and answered a few questions for people in different forums telling people not to worry because life has no meaning and nothing you do matters so there is no point in doing anything, then I got confused again because once again I found myself doing something that had no meaning.
Con someone give me advise I think I am bad at being a Nihilist, but I want to be a good one. But I guess what’s the point, right?

2025.01.30 18:50 jdstante RAF Kermit 16610 Movement Issues - Replace movement?
Hi all- I just picked up this RAF 16610 as my first rep and I am completely under its spell. However, bittersweetly, upon arrival the watch has had some issues. The issues below are housekeeping before moving on to the question.
When I cycle through the quickset date everything works fine but when I’m adjusting the hands past midnight the date will switch halfway and won’t fully flip over to the new date until 5:25am (which it does consistently). The other issue is that the watch stops running on occasion (just happened twice over 10 days). I give it a shake and it wakes back up.
So the question: are there accessible solutions for an amateur watch builder? And if it needs a movement replacement, are there preferred movements that are compatible with the case?

2025.01.30 18:50 twompsixxinit Wasting hundreds of credits on Generations of Garbage
I have tried everything from changing prompts, tags, changing clips, timing, style reduction, clarity, model and upload my own beats and write my own lyrics. I try to make hard/dark phonk tracks. Almost every time I get some terrible coldplay type vocals or basically anything I am trying to avoid.
Basically Udio right now is assisting me in making some of the most pathetic sounding music I have heard. Like it is purposely trying to inplant the exact opposite type of vocals I try to implement in the AI. I have even tried to up the prompt setting to 100 and put in "phonk", "rap". "trap", etc in style reduction I have put in female vocalist, rock, emo singer. -song writer singer, etc and I still get this lame goth rock or evanescence type nonsense. At best I get some garbled gibberish vocals. Tried remixing tracks, using the copy track settings, same outcome.
Any suggestions? This has been happening now for weeks and probably 1500 credits. I have used the software for about 1 year and it was never this excessive.
