Guys check me out all the time in the halls at school or at the mall n whatnot, but none of them care to persue anything. I'm afro latina with a curvy figure and guys seem to just like the look of me more than the idea of me. Last guy I liked and confessed to told me he doesn't date mixed girls. So do you have to be white and flat to actually date someone? Because all the girls I know like that are in relationships.
This ain't meant to be some bragging post where I pretend I think I'm the shit, it's just genuine curiousity. Why do guys like to check me out but never wanna actually talk to me??

We adopted a brother sister pair at 16 weeks from the shelter. The sister has always been skittish, but has really grown to love and trust my oldest son (10). The boy is very floofy and loving, but can only handle attention from the kids 8+. He has had a few close eye scratches with my 5 year old son, who desperately just wants to cuddle and pet him.
My husband, who hasn't bonded with the kitties, is pretty anxious about this. My husband has tried to pet the cats and they usually attack his hand, which makes matters worse. He's tolerable of the girl cat, because she is shy and doesn't bother him. The foster of the cat, prior to adoption, was a male college student, and I'm wondering if he did a lot of hand playing with the male. My husband won't allow the cats to lay with us at night, and will hardly pet them, in fear of getting bit. But the cats sleep with my oldest kids.
I experience a lot of love bites from the male cat. He loves to nuzzle my face and will bite then lick my jaw or cheeks. I grew up with cats, so I adore them. My husband grew up friendly and unfriendly barn cats, but all of his interactions with cats before these ones have been very positive. He had a cat when he was a bachelor and she was the sweetest.
We owned brother cats this summer, who were unfortunately stalked by coyotes when we were out of town on vacation and killed. Those cats absolutely adored us and let my five year old carry them around in the most uncomfortable positions. They never scratched us, except maybe when they were tiny and learning about their claws. They were strays that came to us at 3 weeks old.
So there are talks of rehoming. But this is the last thing I want to do (unless it's to an older family member - like my parents who probably don't want a cat right now). How can I make my husband more comfortable? Is this a problem with my cat? With how the foster raised them? Should my five year old be constantly yelled at to get away from the cat? Do we buy a tiny kitten for my husband and 5 year old?
I'm sick to my stomach over it. I wouldn't forgive myself if the cats (that I picked out) scratched my son's eye. And I don't think my husband could either, especially since he already doesn't like them. I keep thinking that I was too hasty picking the cats out. I went with looks and didn't have multiple visits with them to see their behaviors. I haven't been able to bond much with the girl, but she will sit with me when all the kids go to bed. I keep thinking about how we should have adopted them younger, or how we should have adopted from a foster family with kids, or gone to an adoption event to ask more questions. I have so many thoughts swirling around and I just feel terrible and worried.

Hi everyone! We live in Illinois and we are looking into either moving to Minneapolis or Dallas.
I don’t really want to move again so we are looking for a place that we could settle down in and have a good life when we decide to have kids. My sister lives on the Wisconsin side of Minneapolis and I have friends there but we also have some in Dallas.
His is korean so having access to korean foods and markets is a huge plus for him. We all want to take COL, prices, safety, and job opportunity into account as well. If anyone has any input on these places I would really appreciate it!

Hello everyone! On Instagram a while back I saw a video of a girl making vodka waters with lime to help hydrate you while you drink, and I offhandedly commented on the video. I mentioned that I love doing this, and I like adding half of a flavored water packet (You know the zero sugar water enhancers, my fave is the pink starburst). I didn't really think much of it, but that comment got a lot of likes and I had several people reply to the comment rather rudely. Some were calling me insane, others were telling me not to even bother drinking vodka.
I am wholeheartedly surprised by this reaction! Instagram reels users are typically pretty mean, but I really didn't think this was too insane. And the comment about "don't bother drinking" made me roll my eyes because the drink is literally still half vodka! I'm not drinking vodka for the taste, I'm drinking it to get drunk! Anyways, I just wanted to hear yall's thoughts on this little discourse that I accidently started.

Me (29m) and my ex girlfriend (28f) broke up last week after 2 weeks of thinking.
We tried to make it work after back and forth but ultimately she said at the end that the only option that didn't give her anxiety was breaking up as we both burst into tears.
We both love each other so much but life and decisions have left us both feeling that neither can provide the emotional requirements to the relationship. We had nearly been together for 3 years and lived together for 2 years and had been each others person.
I doesn't feel real still.
I'm left in the house we shared haunted by memories everyday and she's "forced" out of the home she helped make. All because life can just be unfair.
I've never really understood "heartbreak" but God damn it really is fucking painful.

Hey, this topic seems quite common so I kinda know the common options in the market, the main issue I have with all of them is that you need to manually do everything, I know that some apps integrate with your bank account etc, and I was wondering if there is any such self hosted app that supports this feature?
I'm not really sure how this might even work, but I would assume some token that would have access to some data like last transactions, current balance etc...
Would love to hear some about it in case someone has some experience with anything like that.
