I really enjoy gaming on the Apple Vision Pro, and have been using GeForce Now on the Nexus+ app until now. However I’m getting quite sick of stuttering for no apparent reason (wifi 6 mesh network, stable 300 up and down speeds, zero package loss according to speedtest, no interference according to router scan).
I am interested in trying out the Portal app, but unfortunately I don’t own a PS5 or Xbox to try it out. If it really works, I’d be willing to buy one and ditch GeForce NOW.
* How well does it work in terms of video quality and latency? Compared to GeForce Now for instance?
* Can I set up the app once and leave the PS5 unconnected to a TV forever? (I wont ever be playing on a TV)
* Is there any caveats to be aware of?
* Is it likely that my stuttering issues from GeForce will transfer to Portal? Again my wifi is S tier on paper but somehow GeForce stutters

In August, my contract role didn’t get renewed so I was forced to leave. During that time, they were trying to get me into a FT role but didn’t get anything approved in time.
I became friends with my recruiter I was working with and in SeptembeOctober, she got me an opportunity to come back in a contract-to-hire role. I did some casual interviews with people who pretty much knew me and as she was drawing up the written offer… the CEO took that role away. She felt so bad giving me the news that my offer got rescinded, but we remained hopeful that a FT role would open up.
December rolls around and she excitedly lets me know that 2 FT roles opened up! Same roles, different departments. It was me against 3 other candidates that were also ex-contractors, but I was the only one who has formal experience doing this role in particular. I even got to interview with my mentor, so I was feeling good. Yesterday, my recruiter told me she had 4/6 scorecards back and they were all “strong yes” and she would let me know by noon the next day.
Well… waited in agony and she asks to call me at 2:30. She wouldn’t wait that long, much less call me just to reject me, right? I was wrong and the worst part is, no negative feedback. All positive, it was just down to me and the other two (the fourth was flat out rejected). I was the only one with experience doing the job and that wasn’t enough. I’ve spent the past 2 years cultivating these relationships and now I’m just feeling incredibly stupid. Trying to remain hopeful but it’s feeling bleak getting knocked down time and time again by this company.

I have an almost 6 week old and right now we just follow wake windows and sleepy cues, following the eat, wake, sleep routine. We try to expose him to sunlight during the day and keep things dark at night. We’ve gotten one five hour stretch, a couple four hour stretches but at night it’s mostly 2 or 3 hour stretches.
I know he’s still super young so I’m not really expecting a rigorous schedule, but wondering if anyone has had any luck with anything?

Technically from Hyderabad, but I grew up in Delhi/Mumbai before moving to Cali. I am honest, funny, and friendly and have my fair share of introvert/extrovert days—it really depends on the situation. I mix easily with all age groups and value integrity, honesty, and the ability to stand up for yourself and your family. My friend circle is super important to me, especially as it’s shrinking with age—few, but the best.
I love cooking up a storm and equally enjoy eating out. Have the usual Bay Area hobbies - hiking, badminton, dance, going around the Bay, and my favorite of all, chit-chatting and chilling 😂 (seriously, if we can talk for hours, that’s a great sign).
What I’m Looking For
A relationship is an investment, and I believe in prioritizing my partner —because we’re signing up for 50+ years together! If you struggle with open conversations with family or wouldn’t stand up for your partner when needed, we likely won’t match.

- **Caste:** Brahmin (**for disclosure** in case your family requires it; but I am **completely open-minded** and do not want to pass this mindset down to the next generation—hope you believe in the same).
- **Languages:** Hindi, English, Telugu (**South Indian languages are a preference first**—more so because it feels like home in a foreign land).
- **Job/Salary:** **AI Product Manager - $250K+** (not for a flex, just avoiding awkwardness later—most people I have encountered do not like to make lesser than the girl. **As for my preference - Full time only, but make what you want, just be happy doing it.**)
- **Location:** **Bay Area for now, India is on the plans later**—open to discussion on this as it’s an *“us”* decision, but not moving out of the Bay for sure. I’ve tried other locations in the USA, but I feel at home only here. **This is probably the only non-negotiable here lol.**
- **Education:** Grad school—probably more compatible if you’ve done the same.
- **Diet:** Changes from time to time. You eat what you want, I honestly don’t care. **I also drink occasionally and you can join me :)**

- **Scared of pretty much everything**—heights, the dark, creepy crawlies, deep water—you name it. **I will need a little push for adrenaline-junkie stuff.** That said, I’ve done **snorkeling, bungee, scuba, and roller coasters** (so I *try*), but **I will not jump out of a plane—nope, not happening.** 😂
- **I don’t drive.** Not for lack of trying—I’ve had a couple of big accidents, and the PTSD is real. **I’ll keep trying to get back to it, but if this is a deal-breaker, I totally get it.**
- **I invest deeply in relationships**, and in the past, I’ve sometimes gone overboard with emotions and needs. But I’ve worked a lot on **understanding differences in needs/wants across genders, and I’m in a much better place now**. Basically, **I’m an emotional baby from time to time, and I’ll be back to normal soon enough.**
- **Smoking is a complete NO.**
