I was born in LA, lived in Texas for a while, and now live in Boston. We like Boston, but I struggle with the long, brutal winters that last five to six months. We moved here for the great autism services since we have a four-year-old son with autism.
A few months ago, I visited LA and fell in love with the city. Driving along the Southern California coast felt like paradise. I could see my family living there and having a great life.
I’ve been trying to convince my wife to move, but she is completely against it. She worries about the high crime rate and natural disasters in California. She also believes Boston is the best place for our son because of the autism services.
What else can I do to change her mind? Should I take her on a trip there? I would want to live in Irvine, Orange County, or Poway since they have good public schools and special education programs.

2025.01.30 23:04 BeautifulLeast6074 Phone interview never happened.
I was supposed to get an interview for today (1/30/25) at 3:15 EST. I waited and over an hour and they didn't call. I double checked everything and it all seems correct. I checked spam/blocked nothing has popped up saying I missed it. I contacted tech support and made a new date. when 4:15 my time hit. I now gave them "Back up" numbers along with my primary. But idk if the same issue is going to happen again. Should I see if it was my cell phone provider? Because one of my back ups is another cell phone from a family member. And we have the same plan.
What's even more frustrating is one of my friends also applied got the chance to do a phone interview and they called right on time for them. I have no idea if it's something on my end or what. I am just really upset.

there was a girl who was my roommate's sister that came over and i spent some time with her, i enjoyed having her and also knowing that she's going to leave, we kept talking later but since i don't enjoy most things i couldn't keep talking to her so i cut her off.
during that time i experienced the most emotions that i've experienced in 20 years, anyway my life kept going as if she never existed back to normal, and i had no problem with that it was normal, yesterday she texted and we chatted for hours and sadly i had alot of emotions again maybe more than last time, and i don't feel an urge to talk to people, so it's not like i was looking to connect, but it was a reminder that i can feel emotions and it created a problem that didn't exist because i was fine not talking to almost anyone, but i almost want to feel this again.
so in the past hours i was trying to assess what the fuck happend and why i feel swept over and out of balance, i feel-- firstly trapped, like those feelings and emotions are very addictive and make me want to have more of them which is bad.
also i feel i'm often very comfortable because i have no opinions so people don't need to do much to get me excited so i'm like a dog that follows you anywhere so its almost as if you kinda don't look back to see if the dog is still there, i'm the same.
and i also think alot into the future, i don't think of people as permenant or trustable, because it makes sense in my view, because i'm not trustable in that sense, just like i split last time with her, i can do that to anyone always without blinking or thinking twice, a habbit that i never stay too long anywhere, so thinking into the future why enjoy emotions that i know are temporary, might as well have a constant nothing.
but on the other hand there is some what people might call progress that i lately question about this -might as well do nothing- habbit, the thing that kept the habbit going is not knowing what the fuck people think, i can't wait for someone to want to explain i am in a constant haze about what's happening because most of the time i know for a fact everyone around me experience a common theme of experience which only i do not feel, so i get to that habbit very easily and very often, because people are intolerent of questions of someone who doesnt know what the fuck is happening at any given time
so i don't want to get addicted to some hard to get things, that constantly slip out of my hands

2025.01.30 23:04 RacerX477 Why are my posts on this sub getting deleted? I need help and fb disabled me for no reason.
I have posted on here for help and my comments keep getting deleted with no explanation from the mods. I just need some help or advice.
FB disabled my account about a month ago for no reason. I use it to answer customer questions and never post anything that would violate their terms. Here's what I have done.
- go to facebook.com/hacked. It asks me to enter my email. I do, and it says "enter a valid email address."
- I tried another account recovery option and it says it doesn't recognize my computer and says since they don't recognize my device they can't send me a recovery code. It says the same thing when I do it from my mobile. I have logged into fb daily for years with this desktop and mobile
- Tried to appeal. It made me take a selfie. After several days I got a message saying the account is permanently disabled because the Instagram account linked to my fb is violating their standards. The problem is the instagram account they list is not mine and I never created it and it also appears to not be on instagram.
- I do have my real Instagram account that has not been banned, so I tried to sign up for meta verified and it says I am on a wait list and will be contacted later. That was 2 weeks ago and no email updates.
- Called my state attorney general office and they said social media stuff like this is out of their jurisdiction and they don't handle these cases.

 | This morning I stumbled upon a tweet from user coolestfucker showing a link to artwork of the original "Yoshi" game on MarioWiki#Scans) They are scans of an Official Nintendo Guide Book for the puzzle game. A handful of pages of the guidebook are actually just a short origin story of how Yoshi was born. The story is really cool and I'd never seen the artwork before which I thought was beautiful. I tried finding an English version of the book for sale online but couldn't find it with the artwork. So I thought I'd do two things:
