2025.01.30 23:30 alistaircrowe 14 months and we just turned a big corner, she actually listens... Mostly. :)
Have a 14-month-old Chihuahua-terrier mix, and it's been a journey. She's always been sweet and social, but also stubborn, impulsive, and a little destructive—she’s a shredder. Nothing scares her which is double edged sword. She loves fireworks, never met a stranger and runs toward any new sound, so occasionally have to save her from her curiosity.
She ran out the door twice last week, but came right back when I called her, which is a huge improvement! Once was when I dropped a can that propped open door while bringing in groceries, and the other time was when a friend visiting didn't realize how fast she is. She listened and obeyed when her recall word said. Before, I would have had to chase her around a tree she loves in front yard, or she would run to car to go for ride, but now she listens immediately and comes right back. Skids and turns around and races inside.
The biggest hurdle left, ties into the running out door, is "stay"—she can only manage a few seconds even after puppy and intermediate training class, and even the tastiest treats like steak, boiled chicken, or bacon can't overcome her desire to be in the middle of everything. Any advice on improving that would be great! The greatest reward for her is being right there and not sitting off to the side, so I'm kinda stumped as to how to reward not doing what she loves more than food. Otherwise, she's getting much better at commands like "sit," "side," "come," "drop it," and "leave it"—all of which were maybe 60-70% successful just a couple of weeks ago. It felt like she would just be too willful to ever truly get it, but then bam, it worked just as we had been training towards. There is hope, puppy owners!

2025.01.30 23:30 tomorrowistomato Mild phantom pains after fatty meals at 6 weeks post op, do I need to do anything about it?
Had surgery 6 weeks ago for small stones and recovery is going well, my diet is mostly back to normal and my symptoms have improved for the most part. Over the past few weeks though I have noticed that I'm having some pain in the area where my gallbladder used to be when I eat something with a lot of fat. It's sharp, throbbing, and very localized to that spot much like the pain I had pre-op, but it's not at all intense. Taking apple cider vinegar gummies with meals seems to help. I've also noticed it happens more if I've already eaten something fatty that past day or so and gets better if I ease off the fat for a bit.
I guess my question is, do I need to do something about this? At only a month and a half out I know I'm still very much in the healing stage. I think my bigger concern are the post op complications like retained stones, sphincter of oddi dysfunction, pancreatitis, etc. From my understanding those tend to present with pretty severe pain, but then, my gb pain was never severe before so I don't have much to compare to. Also just had blood work done today and my bilirubin, ALT, and AST are all totally normal (ALT was elevated pre-op) so I think that's a very good sign.
Anyway if this is just a normal part of the healing process I'm fine just continuing as I am now, I just don't want to ignore a potential complication and have it turn into something worse.

i absolutely love the fact that music is able to have the the power to make the world feel as if it pauses in "hey jane" tyler tackles the theme of an unplanned pregnancy, but he does it in the most perfect manner
he encapsulates the perspectives of both him and his partner in such a raw way. so much so that listeners are able to feel physically the amount of fearfulness and hesitation that are established in the lyrics

Dutch lost all of his trust towards the two of them so he made Micah his right hand man. As you guys know we explore Arthur’s point of view of the gang. Dutch didn’t change he only changed to us (Arthur). So I would say Dutch was extremely good because he simply didn’t kill Arthur or even question him. Soooo… I really honestly think the developers should at least look into a default size for all pals that are roaming the base. I love this game and I love the idea of pals working for me and automating everything… but there’s so many pals that are the size of freight trains and we are stuck with a 0.2 mile circle to build in. My suggestion is to default all pals to a normal small size for your base to roam around and work efficiently without screwing your frame rate up. What do you guys think? Is that a bad suggestion or good?
It also forces people to build big big bases which I don’t think most people typically enjoy. I want to hear your thoughts and hopefully devs see the suggestion and it gets floated.

Hi Print makers,
I want to get some recommendations on whether I should use pre-supported files or let Blueprint studio generate supports?
I have been using blueprint studio but today I tried to print a pre-supported object.... it fell off the build plate. But maybe that was a fluke because I kind of remember printing the same pre-supported before without any issue....
I'm not entirely sure what could be at issue.
