2025.01.31 00:26 Pink_Glitter0 Induction scheduled and I can't help but feel discouraged
I'm currently 38w6d. I've had a cervical check the past 3 appts- I was 0% 0cm 2 weeks ago, 50% .5cm last week and 50% .5cm this week (today). Yes, I know cervical checks only provide insight of where you are at that moment and it could change in a matter of hours, but I can't help but feel discouraged.
Our baby girl's due date is 9 days away (2/7- again, I know due dates are estimates) and I was sincerely hoping she'd be here on/before then but with the rate I'm dilating, it doesn't seem like that'll be the case. I wanted to get a membrane sweep this afternoon at my appt, but I wasn't even dilated enough for that to be done.
I asked the doctor about induction and they said "typically we don't let moms go past 41 weeks", said we can do it anytime after 40wks, and told us we would pencil in an induction date while checking out. We spoke with the surgical scheduler and she seemed perplexed that we were opting to schedule the induction for 2/11 (making baby 40w4d at birth, provided she stays in that long) instead of waiting for 41w to schedule the induction, and now I'm wondering if we made the right decision.
Has anyone else dealt with this kind of situation? No, there's really no medical reason we NEED to induce "early" (i.e. blood pressure, pre-e, etc) but I'm exhausted and in pain 24/7. I'm sure it's all the usual pregnancy pain (my back hurting, both hands are numb and swollen, ankles are the size of Texas, I'm waddling like no one's business). I'm also anxious to induce because of the horror stories I've heard about the pain/it not working, leading to a cesarean, but I'm also nervous about allowing baby to go 41+ weeks because I've read about placental failure once baby gets too big, can't get baby out naturally because they're too big and requiring a cesarean, etc etc etc
I've been eating dates, walking, curb walking, bouncing on the birthing ball, the miles circuit, and nothing đ
Please give me hope, because I feel so many awful emotions. I wish my body would just cooperate and put me into labor naturally but I just feel like it's not going to.

Iâve always had very mild eczema but have spent the last month in HELL. It started with a small dry patch under one eye and some small hive-like bumps on one cheek. After a few days, the dryness was affecting both eyes and I would wake up with my eyes swollen, so I sought out medical care. I was prescribed desonide but only used it once because it made me tingly. I tried switching to something âmore naturalâ and got something called exederm from CVS. I didnât realize that the cortisone ingredient meant that this exederm was technically a steroid, so I used it for about 10 days before realizing I needed to stop. I wasnât seeing much improvement anyway, but once I stopped using it, everything went to shit. The irritation turned into a full on rash looking manifestation and has spread ok down my neck, chest, and back. It looks horrific.
I recently learned about TSW and am terrified that I gave it to myself from using the cream too long. I was also thinking back and I have received steroid shots twice within the last year for allergy symptoms, so Iâm wondering if having those steroids in my system could have contributed to the overall amount of steroids in my body which would cause a withdrawal?
The doctor has me on antibiotics now, but he even said he doesnât think they will help. Iâm so scared and at a loss for solutions.

Disculpen la molestia pero fĂjense que quisiera saber si alguien de este sub pudiera ayudarme a conseguir la VPN de TATA Consultancy Services, el tema es que quiero entrar a mi perfil y no me permite ya que mi lap no es de la empresa y no puedo meter mi lap al site por obvios motivos.
