 | Jumping back into 40k and I’ve fallen in love with Tyranids. I used to play Eldar and Ultra Marines and wanted to break out into something new and flex new painting skills. Discover Kill Team only to find out Tyranids aren’t getting a box or their own “kill team”. So how hard would it be to make something playable for guys that wanna play their favorite devourer’s of the universe? Would some leapers and a mix of Termagaunts and Hormagaunts equal a squad? When it comes to marketing, I divide my approach across two sets of axes.
First, fast vs. slow channels.
Fast (paid, sponsorships, events, influencers etc.)
vs.
Slow (newsletter, starting a podcast, social organic, external community building)
For slow channels you want clear benchmarks and leading metrics to follow (often impressions, engagement, followers/DMS, share of search/search volume, pipeline etc.)
Fast channels offer more immediate revenue impact (and ideally more predictable revenue), but at the price of higher CAC.
Some of this is trade offs around growth rate vs profitability. If you 10x your ad spend on primary channels next month, nearly every brand will see sales grow AND your CPM/CPL/CPA sky rocket.
Next, I divide motions across maintenance vs. experimental.
Maintenance (weekly webinar, weekly newsletter, 3x weekly social posting, long-form videos, SEO-friendly site navigation, comparison content)
vs.
Experimental (channel exploration like Reddit, short form video experiments, serialized creative shows, influencers)
Most B2B brands over index on maintenance and under index on experimental. A lot of this is because programmatic or checkbox marketing is becoming less and less valuable.
Nobody trusts the comparison table on your site where you do everything important and the billion dollar incumbent somehow is completely missing all the key features.
That being said, if you have a site that has screwed up tagging, pages that aren’t indexed and a layout that isn’t mobile friendly… you likely need to take care of that before dumping budget into driving substantial traffic.

I live in NOVA (Northern Virginia)
My dad bought a used car 2 days ago and his car was wrongfully towed by the towing company that goes around my town house neighborhood. The company is named DTR towing, to park over night in a visitor spot in my neighborhood one has to put a parking tag and have it hanging on the rear view mirror of the car along with the date of when it is being parked. This towing company towed the car because they believed my dad used the single use parking pass multiple times, this is 100% not the case and when we went to the office of this company we tried explaining to them that this was not the case. We even brought in all the other extra single use parking passes and monthly ones to show that we had no reason to even try and use a single use pass multiple times. The car was bought for $900 and had new plates bought for $100. Is there anything we can do? The towing company is adamant that we used the single use pass multiple times even though we did not and will only give us the car back if we pay them the towing fee of $250.

2025.01.31 01:31 TheNuclearOtaku Which Planeswalkers Will Stay Sparked? A Trend I Noticed
OK, so this whole thing is based on something kind of silly I noticed recently. I was on the wiki page for the Desparking, looking over which walkers did and did not make it through the event. And I ended up noticing a somewhat unusual....pattern? I guess that's what we can call it. And again, I acknowledge that this whole thing is rather silly and dumb.
So, a total of 33 planeswalkers have had their statuses confirmed in the wake of the Desparking (excluding Karn from this discussion, since he lost his spark in a totally different manner) as of Aetherdrift. And of those 33 planeswalkers, 22 have been desparked, with only 11 still keeping their original abilities. Call it a coincidence, but as it stands, it seems the "retention rate" for planeswalkers is 33%. Now I know that this is almost certainly just a coincidence, and that this isn't actually a hard rule that Wizards is placing on themselves with respect to planeswalkers. But let's just pretend for a minute that it is. For fun.
So, just for this discussion, what if we applied that ratio to the remaining planeswalkers we DON'T know about?
I did some digging around, and I came up with a list of every planeswalker that has appeared in the main Magic story, has gotten a planeswalker card, is still alive/active, and whose current spark status is unknown as of Aetherdrift. That list is:
- Angrath
- Arlinn Kord
- Davriel Cane
- Garruk Wildspeaker
- Geyadrone Dihada
- Jared Carthalion
- Jiang Yanggu
- Kasmina
- Liliana Vess
- Sorin Markov
- Tezzeret
- Vivien Reid
For me personally, I think Liliana and Garruk are for sure keeping their sparks. I buy into the theory with the Lorwyn Five, it just makes sense. Tezzeret is another safe bet in my eyes; we know he's coming back in Edge of Eternities, and more evil planeswalkers is always good IMO. The last one is a really tough call for me between Sorin and Vivien, but I'd put my prediction as Vivien.
Would love to hear what you all think!
(Also, yes, you could bump this list up to 15 planeswalkers with 5 still keeping their spark if we add Grist, Sivitri, and Estrid. But none of them have ever featured in the main, modern, canon Magic story, so I'm not counting them for this discussion. If you do, though, feel free.)

Now Bronwyn totally walked it back. She wanted to make it seem like it wasn’t as bad as it was. But the girls across the couch keep trying to put words to the situation that don’t apply
Like Bronwyn didn’t expect them to be like “fuck Todd” she just didn’t feel supported by them. But Heather, Lisa, and Meredith were frothing at the mouth to have like a “gotcha” moment with Bronwyn.
But IDK I don’t think this is a lie. None of this equates to “an emotional affair didn’t happen”.
Seems like it did. She wouldn’t get diamonds with promises if it wasn’t bad.

How do i make a complaint against a DepEd official?
TL;DR My wife, her two nieces, and her niece's husband, all work in the same school. My wife was first to arrive and has been there for more than 5 years. Her two nieces and niece's husband arrived less than a year ago. My wife's sister, the DepEd official, threatened us just because my wife was asking her niece, the daughter of her sister, about her tardiness and nonattendance during her classes. I have the screenshot of the threat message. I am now currently waiting for my sister-in-law's next move, and if ever she follows through her threats, I would like to know my options as a citizen scrutinizing a public official clearly abusing her authority to pull some strings to bully someone under her.
The sad thing about this is the official is my wife's sister. You see what happened is my wife, and my sister-in-law's two daughters and son-in-law, all work in the same school.
My wife was the first one to arrive at that school, and she's been there for more than 5 years. As a Master Teacher and Subject Group Lead, she has been trying to uphold the highest standard of work etiquette, because that's what her sister, the DepEd official, always tells her to do, "wag gagawa ng kahit anung di maganda para hindi masira ang pangalan ko".
Just a year ago, and i bet because of my sister-in-law's influence as a DepEd official, she managed to get her two daughters and son-in-law in the same school as my wife. (Please tell me if this is nepotism and if this is against DepEd policy). Daughter 1 was the first one to arrive, followed by the Son-in-law, then just recently late last year, Daughter 2 arrived. Daughter 1 is ok, she's nice, but Son-in-law and Daughter 2 did have an air to them, but my wife paid this no mind.
Everything seemed fine at first, but as soon as Daughter 2 arrived, she would mostly be tardy in going to school, she would leave her students while letting them do a performance task, among other things. This did not sit well with my wife, who as a senior teacher, and someone with authority at the school, and as an aunt, tried to calmly asked her niece's students why they were without a teacher during class hours, which was a normal thing for her since she has supervisory authority. She did not even approach or confront Daughter 2, as sadly, my wife is a bit afraid of her ate.
Then last night, my sister-in-law sent a message to my wife and the gist of it is "you better not mess with my daughter because you don't know what I'm capable of." Sick and tired of this, and seeing my wife in a state of shock, i decided to confront her and tell her everything her daughter does, about being tardy, about leaving her students during class hours, and you know what she did, she called me on the phone like some Karen and kept telling me, "you don't know anything, you don't know what I'm capable of." She did not even ask for my wife's side of the story, and just believed that her daughter was being bullied by my wife.
She threatened me, threatened us. And for what? Because my wife was concerned about her niece's performance and as someone who wanted what's best for her niece, did everything she could so her niece would fit in as a new teacher? This is totally uncalled for.
I am now currently waiting for my sister-in-law's next move, and if ever she follows through her threats, I would like to know my options as a citizen scrutinizing a public official clearly abusing her authority to pull some strings to bully someone under her.
