Curb wall was supposed to be same as floor. Worth fixing/is it risky? What the title says! They were supposed to use the floor tile for the side of the curb that is green. I think it breaks up the flow of the bathroom in a way I was trying to avoid.
I know I should have it fixed if it’s my preference but I worry that once the toilet and shower door are in (which they will be by the time it can be fixed) it will risk damage to the surrounding tile and the shower door and be extra difficult to replace. (For the tile professional - not me)
What do you all think? Is it risky? Is it the right move visually? Thank you!

I'm a non-traditional student seeking to go to law school in my mid thirties.
My wife was targeted by a shady law firm and brought to an administrative hearing for over $250k.
We reached out to over a dozen attorneys and they almost all advised settling because the case law was so stacked against us.
When we pleaded with one attorney for help and asked where we could go for justice, she told us "There is very little justice in the law."
We refused to settle because my wife had done nothing wrong. The case law was stacked against us, but the fundamental principles of justice were on our side.
When we received notice for the hearing, we only had 21 days to declare a representative. In CA, you don't need to be a lawyer to appear at an administrative hearing. Time was running out and we couldn't find help, so I stepped in to defend my wife.
Before this, I knew nothing about the law other than what I had seen on television.
I researched the statutes and reviewed precedent cases. I used what I learned to craft arguments and informally consulted with attorneys who were generous enough to lend an ear.
The opposing council was an specialized attorney with over 10 years of experience. When they filed their brief, I reverse engineered the formatting and structure and presented my arguments in a similar fashion.
At the hearing, I conducted cross-examination and direct examination. I gave a closing argument and then a rebuttal against the opposing council.
We won the case and paid $0.
I was elated but also deeply troubled. Without access to a representative, my wife would have lost everything. Our family would have been utterly destroyed.
This drove me toward wanting to become a lawyer.
Studying for the LSAT was fascinating, but sitting for the actual test was extremely difficult for me. I have ADHD and it's been over a decade since my last test.
I scored low 160's on my first attempt, high 160s on the second, and finally got my 172 on the third attempt.
I thought that my story and my 172 would offset my 3.0 undergraduate GPA.
It didn't.
In my first cycle I got R & WL from all the schools in my region. In this current cycle, I have an R and a WL from the T-20 options. I'm still waiting on the T-100 in my region. It doesn't seem promising.
I'm very accomplished in my career and connected in my city. There was faculty at both the T-20 options reviewing my application materials and advocating on my behalf to the admissions committees.
It wasn't enough.
Seemingly, all because of grades I scored in courses 15 years ago.
It seems like such a waste. I spent so much time reading about the law. I thought I would become a great advocate and create meaningful change in my city. Now, I'm fairly certain this is the end of the legal road for me.
I'll be okay.
If you get into law school, I hope you can find a way to help others through your career.

My whole life my mom has been abusive to me. My earliest memories are of her holding me down and punching me in the head as hard as she could until my ears rung like a cartoon. Every single day of my childhood up to early 20s was non-stop abuse. I was occasionally hit. I was pushed into a toy bin. She would call me freak, bitch, monkey, idiot, special, retard, mental patient, etc. She'd mock me. She'd encourage me to quit activities and make fun of my interests. She never said she loved me, never played with us, never touched us, never went out to activities with me. The vast majority of my childhood memories are various forms of abuse. She'd gossip about me. She'd give me the silent treatment.
And I'M the one punished for my mom abusing me. I'm the one who gets imprisoned repeatedly in psych wards. I'm told I'm mentally ill. I'm told I'm the problem and that I need to be imprisoned until I'm sufficiently drugged to feel better without these idiot piece of shit doctors and nurses ever thinking "Maybe the fact this girls' mom abused her from infancy is the cause of her "mental health issues."" I'm told I need to do the work to get healthy. I'm the one who is traumatized for life. I'm the one who gets my life stolen from me and comes out with no friends and no job.
Seriously, has anyone ever been imprisoned to mental health? Why the fuck do psychiatrists think this will work? Are they idiots or just evil?
So fuck doctors and fuck psych nurses and techs and fuck psychiatry.

2025.01.31 02:10 MrWiggulz Having an issue resetting my PC for a windows update, DRAM light on…

I apologise if this is not the right place to ask for help but this issue is doing my head in.
So for a few months now I have been having an issue where my PC’s yellow DRAM light would turn on when I try to reset my PC. Did some research on this and tried a few things including resetting CMOS etc, but eventually came to the conclusion this is something I would have to live with. I could always shut down my PC and turning it on again would always be fine. PC would post no issue.
So a few days ago my PC flagged that a windows update was required. I left it a few days as I just couldn’t be bothered to update and when I was done for the night, would select shut down PC (I had two options on my start bar, one with a yellow update dot and one without). So this evening the option to shut down without an update had disappeared. So I thought, well looks like I’m going to need to update this thing now. I select update and shut down, as I am aware my PC hangs on reset and the DRAM light issue still persists. I should mention at this point that previous situations where updates have been required have been no issue and PC has updated once I manually turn it back on. This time however, when I selected update and shut down, my PC hangs and the DRAM light comes on. I left the PC for a period of time, eventually having to hold down the power button to force turn the PC off. Leaving it for a few mins and then manually turning it back on. The PC in the past would usually finish the update and post normally, with the update reminder gone and the PC successfully updated. This time however, when booting back up and logging in, the PC is still telling my I need to update and only giving my the options to either update and reset or update and shut down the PC.
It’s late currently so I have manually shut down the PC without updating for now. But I am concerned that I am going to be stuck unable to update the PC going forward, having to manually hard shut down the PC every time I am done using it.
Any help would be appreciated.

Just wanted to make some discussions and get some other opinions on the current state of the game. I currently think that we’re in a place that’s just awful, like what kind of game releases a Christmas update in February? Or at least I assume, I doubt it’s coming out tomorrow. Also the developers have always lacked communication on a roadmap or what they plan to do with the game, and were always left in the dark. The discord is no help either, being a rather toxic environment with their so-called “rolecism”. I thinks it’s just rather stupid, but hey, do what makes you feel good I suppose. My main point is, I don’t see this game making past 2025 with the lack of communication that’s going on, everyone’s went to Fisch or done stuff to better their lives, which is completely understandable. Thoughts?
