Gostaria de fazer um relato que não considero ser normal. Fui enganado pelos meus pais. Como contexto, meu pai era viciado em jogo (corrida de cavalos) e foi alcoólatra. Mas parou de beber quando eu tinha 13 anos. Minha mãe empoderava ele. Ou seja, os filhos eram secundários.
Vou resumir para quem não quer ler tudo. Meus pais ficaram sem renda em 2012 (inquilinos saíram do imóvel comercial da família). Eu assumi os gastos da casa. Em 2015 eles alugaram o imóvel e não me contaram. Eu fiquei mais dois anos mantendo a casa até que, por pressão minha, eles admitiram que o imóvel tinha sido alugado em 2017 (dois anos depois). Só fui saber disso 10 anos depois.
Eu morei 6 anos nos Estados Unidos, mas voltei para o Brasil após o 11 de Setembro. Passei dois anos no Brasil desempregado, morando com meus pais e sofrendo pressão em casa e pensando em morar na rua. Meus pais viviam de renda de um aluguel. Dinheiro mais do que suficiente para viverem tranquilos. Mas, pelo vício do meu pai, eles estavam sempre fechando o mês na ponta do lápis e pedindo dinheiro para os parentes. Ambiente muito pesado em casa.
Por ideia de uma amiga, resolvi fazer um curso de tradução e me tornei tradutor.
Nos primeiros dois anos eu ganhava pouco, tipo 700 / 800 reais. Mas meu pai começou a me pedir dinheiro emprestado. Ele ligava da rua, no fim do mês, e me pedia tipo 300/400 reais emprestado. Depois de alguns meses eu entendi que ele estava na loja de apostas do Jockey e me pedia dinheiro para cobrir contas que ele tinha para pagar. E ele não me devolvia o dinheiro. Eu tinha que ficar atrás, pedindo. Um dia eu me cansei e desliguei o telefone na cara dele, dizendo para nunca mais me pedir dinheiro.
Dois anos depois, em 2012, meus pais ficaram sem renda. Os inquilinos saíram do imóvel comercial. Nessa época eu já fazia uns 2.5k. Eu estava juntando dinheiro para me mudar e morar sozinho no interior. Mas, por eles estarem sem renda, eu fiquei até 2018 mantendo os gastos da casa. Acho que a minha tia-avó pagava o condomínio, gás e luz. O resto era comigo. Meus irmãos vazaram. Minha irmã, que mora na mesma cidade, vinha aqui duas, três vezes por ano e nunca ajudou.
A casa que eles alugavam era um ponto comercial, então não era uma coisa simples. Sempre que os inquilinos saiam, demorava alguns anos para alugar.
Lá por 2016, eu percebi que a rotina deles tinha mudado. Perguntei algumas vezes ao meu pai se eles estavam com renda e ele respondia: “Não é da sua conta.” E eu continuava a manter a casa e trabalhar em turnos absurdos de 12/14h. Cheguei a ficar cinco meses trabalhando direto com apenas 3 dias de folga.
Um dia, em 2017, eu me enchi e tive uma conversa séria com ele. Ele então me confessou que o imóvel tinha sido alugado. Mas me disse que eles iam ficar um ano recebendo 50% do aluguel e outro ano recebendo 75%, pois os inquilinos teriam que fazer reformas no imóvel. Mesmo assim, foi um alívio. Eu cheguei a anotar em um diário que “o pesadelo acabou”. Foi como ter tirado um elefante das costas. Mas fiquei chateado de o meu pai me esconder que eles tinham alugado o imóvel. E eu ainda banquei a casa até quase 2019, achando que eles não tinham renda integral. Eram gastos como comprar ar-condicionado que tinha queimado e utensílios de cozinha, como micro-ondas. Além de bancar quase todas as compras de mercado.
Mas a história não termina aí.
Anos depois, quando chegou a hora de renovar o contrato de aluguel dessa casa, meu pai já estava bem ruim de saúde e nós, os filhos, começamos a ver a papelada. Eu fui ler o contrato vigente, que ia expirar, e foi quando eu descobri que eles tinham alugado o imóvel em 2015. Que na época da conversa, em 2017, os inquilinos já estavam pagando o valor integral.
Resumindo, eles ficaram sem renda em 2012, eu assumi os gastos da casa, eles alugaram o imóvel em 2015 e só me contaram isso dois anos depois, em 2017. Isso porque eu forcei a barra. Ele não queria me contar. Meus pais não só me deixaram dois anos pendurado, achando que eles ainda estavam sem renda, mas ele também mentiu ao dizer que ainda teríamos dois anos com aluguel parcial.
E eu ainda fiquei alguns meses em dúvida, achando que eu estava fazendo confusão com as datas, que ninguém faz isso com o filho, então que eu deveria estar fazendo confusão. Foi algo que me corroeu por dentro. Se eu estava fazendo confusão com as datas ou não.
Só que esta semana eu me lembrei de que a casa tinha sido “supostamente” alugada na mesma época que a minha terapeuta tinha se formado e aberto consultório. Que eu tinha aumentado o valor das sessões um mês depois, quando soube que o nosso imóvel tinha sido alugado. Eu me lembrei disso na rua e voltei correndo pra casa para checar nas minhas anotações. Eu marcava as sessões em uma planilha, os pagamentos, valores, tudo. E estava lá. Ela abriu consultório em 2017, na época que eu conversei com o meu pai.
Confirmei o absurdo. Ninguém sabe disso. Até porque se eu falar para os meus irmãos eles vão dizer que eu estou mentindo. Meu pai faleceu meses depois. Não senti absolutamente nada.
Aproveitem a vida, pessoal. Façam as coisas certas. Levem para a velhice boas lembranças e a consciência tranquila. Faz toda a diferença.

Tem um colega que nunca fala com ninguém e é super quietao e parece que não vive. Tem 30 anos.
Enfim ele quase nunca me olha e hoje eu tava mexendo no computador e ele veio e sentou na mesa a minha frente e quando chegou me olhou fundo no olho com sobrancelha de cético (o lado direito levantada) confesso que não entendi.
Fiquei com medo. Esses dias ele me olhou passar na rua enquando ele buscava marmita, estava levemente sorrindo.
Tenho medo.

sorry repost since my first didn’t get any responses and I really want some advice 😭
basically what it says in the title, I recently went to the doctor for what I believe may be POTS, and got a diagnosis of orthostatic hypotension (and was also told it’s purely dehydration despite me drinking about 90 ounces of water per day). They did the stand test, and after 3 minutes of standing my heart rate had increased by 37, systolic bp had increased by 7, and diastolic bp had increased by 14.
Despite these results, I was told that I have orthostatic hypotension. My doctors explanation for this was that my blood pressure hadn’t dropped on the test because my heart had compensated for it, but I was a little skeptical since my own research showed that orthostatic hypotension by definition will show a decrease in blood pressure on standing.
What do you all think of this?

This is something extra I wanna point out regarding the sunburn ship. In my opinion I always believed the ship was canon in some way shape or form as it was hinted at and heavily implied throughout the game. While people would argue sunflower the thing is that romance was never implied between the two just two besties going through the horrors. While in headspace People argued that Like Aubrey liking Omori is like what sunny wants to believe but in terms of the personalities of The characters I believe there has been at least some truth To the personalitys. Especially with the Autumn Mod (where it's meant to be a prequel before the main game of omori) where it shows That Aubrey Pre Incident did have something for Sunny. The same thing goes around too. Another thing to point out at the swing set After the incident Aubrey still states that oh hey I still care about you n stuff despite the four year shut in. Another thing to mention is that Aubrey was trying to ask sunny before the Group entered the backyard to Let him know if it was fine for him to visit when he moved. In terms of how people approach the ship I believe the most well done characterization is the How we subsist fic as in my opinion stayed in character aside from a few nit picks (like sunny talking for example although it is left to interpretation).

I've been meal prepping lately in response to my schedule getting busier and in a few days my schedule is going to start getting tighter than ever before. Meal prepping on my off days is an excellent way to reduce my stress during the week. However, I find that almost EVERY food to me tastes worse left over, and I struggle to eat anything that I prepped more than three days ago. Not very conducive to my schedule. I also can't stand to eat the same meal more than two or three times in a row. I've solved for that one by just prepping a couple of different meals at once, it's exhausting but it gets the job done. The thing I can't find a solution to is the decline in flavor as the week progresses. Is there some secret trick to maintaining flavor, especially for meat in particular? Am I simply too much of a diva? If anyone has any handy tips for preserving flavor when prepping meals for the week I'm DYING to hear them. (Side note: if you're gonna say freeze them, don't, in my experience the freezing and thawing process does nightmarish things vis a vis texture, I'm very texture sensitive lol)
