2025.01.31 01:50 tholder Job server being killed during deployment or scale-in
I have Laravel and Horizon on an Amazon ECS cluster. Horizon is scaled horizontally next to the web server. All works well with a blue/green strategy but I'm thinking that if a particular server is running a job (or multiple jobs) those jobs will get killed half way with the container.
Has anyone else faced this and got a strategy for it?
It is most likely to occur during a deployment but in theory the cluster could scale in and lose a container.
I appreciate that perhaps running horizon on a more permanent server and running a stop etc might be a better solution but it complicates the deployment - currently it's just one docker container. Will a horizon stop actually wait for jobs to finish?

I have a trip planned where I spend a week in Seoul, fly to Tokyo, and spend about 2 weeks in Tokyo. I have a round trip from LAX to ICN, but I need to return to Seoul from Tokyo with a flight. My question is if I have a round trip out of Seoul (ICN) where my flight home leaves at 2:40, will I have enough time to get on my Seoul flight if I arrive from Tokyo (NRD) at 11:25? It’s a little over a 3 hour layover. It’s not a layover or anything, they’re two separate tickets, so I’m wondering if it’ll take too much time to get my bags or go through customs to catch my 2:40 flight.

My narc boss took credit for a project I organized and trained the department on last year. Then told me he decided to give the project to someone else. He ignored everything I trained on & decided to do it his way, mainly because he doesn't understand the process. The project is an absolute disaster now. I have information/ knowledge that will eliminate 40% of the mess he's made. Do I tell someone other than him, or do I keep it to myself and let them squirm? The CFO is involved now because it's such a shit show. I've been bullied by this peice of shit for 2 years now. No question about the narcissist part. I'm at a point where I do not care if he tries to retaliate. I've got pages of documentation for court. Yes I'm looking for a new job.

I'm visiting Baja for the first time next week and after a sudden last minute change of plan, I need a rental vehicle from Cabo San Lucas to Loreto. After searching all day including reading countless threads here, I can't find a rental car agency that doesn't consistently get negative reviews apart from Cactus and BBB - neither of which allow one-way rental to Loreto.
I understand Mexico has strict insurance requirements which is often used to promise unrealistically low rates to tourists before the price double or triples. I'm looking for somewhere honest and upfront that won't present unexpected surprises even if it means paying a little more upfront. Right now I'm primarily considering Alamo or Hertz but am looking for first hand experience and recommendations

I thought I submitted every correctly but I wrote my birthday wrong by one day😭😭😭. Its been a month since I submitted my application so do you think if I call each school they would fix it for me or will they make me show them documentation because one of the schools emailed me saying something is wrong which is the birthdate I wrote and to come into their office to fix it so is it going to be that case for the other schools too😭
