DoDEA requires that "teachers assigned to teach Advanced Placement (AP) courses must complete, for each course they are assigned to teach, a 5-day (or its time equivalent) AP College Board sponsored or endorsed training." I've taught AP Lit for years at my current high school, but I haven't taken a 5-day course from College Board. Is there a particular College Board course that I need to take to obtain this certificate for DoDEA? Any advice would be appreciated!

I've discovered that using a scroll frame with 18ct aida takes a fair bit of time getting used to. Before this I did everything in hand and would either use the sewing method or flip the project over each time to make finding the hole easier. I've done at least 2 hours a night and tonight finally realised that with a 360° frame, I could just flick the frame back and forth. It's doubled my speed! This is 1.19% of the way through a 89,100 stitch pattern and I did just under 500 of them tonight, so it's made a massive difference. This is upside down as I decided to work on the top border first so I can get a real feel of the size of it. I'm thinking of doing it one colour at a time, especially now a very helpful comment gave me a shop name to get cxc thread at only 25p a skein. It's gonna take about 77 skeins (I don't know how to adjust from 14ct to 18ct for thread usage) so that's gonna be a massive saving. I'm also thinking maybe I shouldn't do all of this colour first and should go with the two lightest colours, but they're smack bang in the middle and I'm worried I'll count it wrong and give up. This is by far the largest thing I've attempted. It's a gothic unicorn from a pattern mill (I think they're a pattern mill anyway) that I couldn't resist despite the dangers of confetti. My auntie would think it was totally bonkers and exactly me, and she would have called me an absolute lunatic. Cross stitch was something we shared, though she much preferred smaller patterns. She suggested I start back up again after stopping crafting when I left uni over a decade ago, as I was suffering with PPA and she knew it would help. She passed in November last year and I've been struggling a bit to get back into the swing of crafting because it reminds me so much of her. This crazy drunk skeleton knight riding a unicorn is my homage to her. I will think of her with every stitch, and when I finally finish it, I'm going to frame it with a note that says "rather you than me" - what she'd always say when she saw me with a large project, or when I'd tell her what I was planning on working on next. Hi!
So, I may have flown a little too close to the sun & am a lil worried about it.
I’ve been really trying to get involved in my communities music scene again. I studied classical voice for 13 years. I’ve also, in those 13 years, written songs, played piano, learned acoustic and uke.
WELL… I wanted to get involved in the music scene. And by god, I did. I got an invite to play back up keys & vocals for a local musician who is releasing an album.
The part I’m worried about… while I’m decent at piano, I am not some incredibly skilled individual. I’m very, very chordy when I play. I’m nervous that the woman I’m working with is going to be disappointed and I don’t want to ruin her show.
What should I do?

Anyone else feel like durability is far worse than it should be? Using nunu as an example, my friends and i were discussing this set and how some characters look great on paper but in play feel AWFUL. Cass and Nunu being the stars of the conversation. For a 3cost tank, nunu feels... really weak. 50% durability is SUPPOSED to be 50% reduced damag, but even with his spell going and 200+arm/MR with the enemy having no shred... he melts. So fast.
Cass feels like watching paint dry, her spell is lackluster for a 'carry' option.
and generally speaking durability doesnt seem to do what it says on the tin. 50% durability doesnt feel like it cuts damage in half... Its made to sound like its the tank version of true damage, but it just... doesnt.

Hey guys, so this is my situation... 4 months ago I broke up with my ex gf of 7 years after finding out she'd been cheating emotionally for about a month at that point.
She has a son who is about to turn 7, I met them when he was a little under a year old and they moved in with me about a year later, so for basically his entire life... I've been his dad (his biological dad abandoned my ex when she found out she was pregnant)
Anyway, since the breakup I've only seen him once... Even though I've regurarly seen my ex (I know, it isn't healthy) but my ex doesn't want me to see her son, so as not to confuse him, which I agree with.
But anyway, not being a part of that kids life anymore is really breaking my heart.
After breaking up, my ex brought her sister and nephew to live in my old house that we shared... And the kids are more or less the same age, anyway I have her nephews dad on WhatsApp and always see the extravagant gifts he brings for his son... And I know that it must kill my ex's son to see his cousin get all these things from his dad while he lost his dad. The last time I saw him, he also told me that he's been getting made fun of at school because he no longer has a dad..... The last time I saw him, he also asked me if he can come live with me and not his mom, which honestly breaks my heart. The thing is, my ex had him at a young age and has always kind of seen her son as a burden... Any opportunity she gets, she sends him to spend the weekend with her parents or whoever so she can go party or whatever, so I know how little attention her son receives.
My question is, his birthday is coming up on the 15th of February and I wanted to offer some money to my ex so that her son can at least have a great birthday party and a memorable day... Is this a good idea or am I crazy?
For context, while I still love my ex... I know that getting back together isn't an option, since it will make my life hell. I only want her kid to have the best... Which I know my ex can't provide, because since her sister is unemployed and not even seeking employment, she basically has to take care of 4 people on her small salary, so "luxuries" such as a birthday party isn't high on the list of priorities right now.
