i was raised by ur run of the mill anti vax mom. love her to death but god do i wish she would have vaccinated me. she has instilled extreme medical anxiety in me on top of my already existing anxiety and i am genuinely convinced that if i go and get my vaccines i will end up dead or horribly sick with possibly life long affects. how did vaccines go for you guys? should i get them? how do i stop this horrible fear? what ones should i make a priority of getting?

2025.01.31 02:52 FEC23 [PC] [90's] A game where you were a boy snorkeling around the ocean helping animals.
One of the earlier full VGA exploration and puzzle solving games I played. It was partly educational, the game had a kind of moral aspect about looking after marine environments and animals.
It was side view, non scrolling, adventure type game. You'd swim around, find some fish or whale that was in trouble on one screen, then you'd have to explore til you found the thing that you could use to help the animal.. that's about all I remember, other than it was (at least in those days) a real pretty game graphically.
I remember one of the animals was a whale you had to help, and pretty sure one of the quests was finding something to cut a plastic 6-pack ring off some other animal. Probably a found message in a bottle in there somewhere.

This is long sorry.
I see these on tiktok with the Minecraft in the background (they're addicting lol) and I figured I would try it out because I need unbiased advice. I know this may seem like a situation that isn't as big a deal as I'm making it, but it has really been getting to me and people in my life will not take it seriously enough to give me thoughtful advice.
I am 18f and I am a freshman in college this year. This week, I ran into someone, Ben 19m, that I was friends with in middle school that I did not know went to the same college as I do. We were good friends in middle school, not my best friend but we had a great time hanging out and hung out maybe one or two times outside of school. He ended up going to a different school that I did for high school and communication trickled out, and i intentionally made sure that happened even though i felt guilty. While we were friends, there were a couple things he did that made me uncomfortable. The main things were that he occasionally wanted to hold hands, and that he would occasionally tell me he loved me.
I want it to be obvious that I do not believe these things came from a place of malice or creepiness, and I was too shy to admit I didn't like it so I intentionally made it seem like I was the same way. He was a kid, and he was outgoing, friendly, and did the same things with all his other friends to my knowledge. We were close enough that casual holding hands and I love yous weren't weird. They made me uncomfortable because I am particularly prone to avoiding close relationships and am generally not a touchy person, especially with men/boys, but he really had no way to know this.
Another friend of mine who was also friends with him though not as close as me, Emma, encouraged me to allow the friendship to trickle out because she believed that these behaviors DID come from a place of creepiness. Again, I did not agree, but it really got to me and I started to doubt myself. Maybe she is seeing something I am not. Emma is a very good friend, and she always wants the best for me and others and would not intentionally mislead me if she didn't genuinely believe this. I trust her 100%. One other reason she believed this is because all of his friends were girls in our grade (he was a boy in one grade older than us).
This week I ran into Ben in a lecture. He was chatty, and asked me what I'm studying and general catching up stuff. I was super caught off guard and just totally froze (I tend to have a lot of social anxiety, this happens with many people this is not an isolated thing) and definitely made it seem like I didn't want to talk to him so he just awkwardly said bye and left. I keep seeing him when I go to my lecture, and I feel bad because I don't want him to think I hate him or something. I'm honestly too anxious to approach him after lecture but I'm contemplating reaching out on instagram to just clear up why I acted that way and maybe offer to catch up or catch up over text. But now what Emma said is really getting to me and I'm worried she's right. I remember getting a really bad feeling in my stomach when he asked to hold hands, but we had such good times hanging out and I think reaching out could be good maybe. If Emma was wrong, then I feel very guilty about how I ended the friendship and failed to be honest with him. But if she's right, I definitely don't want to get back into that.
Should I reach out? If so, how?
Note: I know that the best course of action is to bring up the things that made me uncomfortable and discuss with him why those happened. I'm way too anxious for that lol so that's not happening.

When it comes to liquidity and options, usd stocks rule the world.
With the tariffs and corporate cut happening in America. It pointless buying Canadians stock when usd stocks will benefit so much.
I don’t even think 100k CAD Portfolio is a lot. Compare to USD 100k Portfolio. Yes I know there a currency exchange rate.
But we keep dropping lowers in term of currency conversion.
What your thoughts on putting all my savings into usd cash and usd stocks.

Is there any way to get the furniture leads to drop a second time? I got all the leads but there are a few items I would like more of or even get enough to fill in the codex but after 10 maps in one particular zone, I’m not getting any more furniture leads. It could be RNG but it seems odd I’m not getting any more, and I don’t know about you guys but all the event maps are crazy expensive right now so I would prefer not to waste more gold if the event furniture leads are one and done. I can’t complain really because I dug up some awesome furniture I probably would not have bothered with if it was not for this event. Just a side comment but I would love to see more extra stuff like this added to some of the major events. After 3 years I’m finally going to have master angler after I complete just one more zone. And finally got the skin after years in the making, but honestly that was just an extra as I was only passively digging up leads for it up to this event.

hihi like stated, i (26F) REALLY need to start taking supplements bc my immune system is so bad some of my health info/what im looking for:
-a lot of gastrointestinal problems + IBS with many food sensitivities due to removed gallbladder and chronic gastritis and was previously diagnosed with a minor hiatal hernia. i’m already taking meds/getting help with controlling my gastro issues, but anything to help improve my gut biome would be great
-i’m all caught up on my covid vaccinations and i’m super careful in public bc i live with immunocompromised family, but ive just gotten covid for the 3rd time (so embarrassing i know) despite my precautions so anything that helps boost my immune system…
-i was recently diagnosed with PMDD which also leads to me having flu-like symptoms that last for a week so any women’s health-focused supplements that may help ease menstruation-related illness? i am testing out meds with my doctor to see what works but i’m desperate for anything that will help..

I'll preface this with the saying that my parents are white, and I live in Whiteville, U.S.A. and idrk if this fits here or if this is racist somehow so I'm sorry if it is
I have really wild hair that goes down to my breastbone. It's not cutely wavy, it's like 3C curls-not-coils that are a nightmare if I don't wash them every day or every two days, but the curly haired internet tells me to wash my hair once a week at most. My parents never really knew what to do with my hair (I have awful grade school pictures from a primary school nightmare of chunky headbands and brushed-out ponytails if anyone needs proof), and hairdressers would always cut my hair like they thought I had a perm, so it never looked right. I went through small business owners and giant hair companies alike to find the careful balance of what products worked for the hair it felt like I was cursed with. The internet was full of kinky and curly hair on beautiful women, but only silky-straight honey browns existed in my reality, and I was never more than a few feet away from a kid pulling my hair and asking why it looked like that or how much time I spent curling my hair every day. I can't straighten it as it looks like I stuck a fork into a light socket, but washing/wetting it every day is a headache if it looks good and a waste of expensive products if it doesn't. I'm adopted and don't have a single connection to my birth parents other than a single horse shirt from when I was five. I have black or hispanic blood in me - I'm short, dark eyes and hair, tan easily, and don't bruise (idk if that's a black people thing but it's always been a weird quirk), but I don't really 'look' like it in a 'oh she's adopted' sense. My question is, do you think it would be wrong for me to get my hair done? I've wanted to get braids or something to manage my hair in the summer at least, but I have horrible social anxiety with new people/places. I don't want to get laughed out of the single braiding salon in town if I walked in and asked for micro-braids or something like that for being 'too-white', but I think I'm actually going to chop my hair off and walk around like Napoleon Dynamite if I have to live through another humid East Coast summer with a frizzy lion's mane.

Hello,
Me and my girlfriend are planning to take a road trip from Cairns to Perth along the coast during a 4 month holiday. Our plan was to buy a car in cairns and then sell it in Perth, from where we will fly home again. We will primarily stay at Airbnbs but also a night or two in the car and at hotels. I can’t seem to get my head around the laws around buying a car and having an adress to register it at.
Is it not possible to own a car in Australia if you do not have a physical address? I mean, there must have been others who have traveled to Australia for a road trip? It this just for the cause of receiving mail and if so couldn’t that just be done online?
