Howdy, I'm curious if this is just me and my 6 year old computer or if it's a browser situation. I'm not the most tech savvy these days, but I'm not a total tech moron either. The lag was so real today while using DDG browser on Windows, and apparently it was using 2,300mb memory, ~90% usage. I had to go back to chrome just to watch a video even after I had ended anything that could've possibly been running in the background. VPN off and everything.
Is this a me issue, or is this just DDG?

At the end of summer last year, I left the company I had been with for a few years after a workplace injury. I was borderline burnt out, would get nauseous every morning, and my callback rate was an embarrassing 30%. I put in my immediate notice, took a week off, and went to another company. I literally just switched bags and vans. It's still me, still doing the same work, pretty much the same tools, except after six months at this company my callback rate is 2% (1.743%). I'm still somewhat baffled by it. Even after two and a half decades in the trade, I hadn't realized how much where you work affects how you work. Any other similar experiences?

Hello all!
I have currently been a Kroger employee for almost 3 years and recently have run into an issue regarding hours.
For the past year I’ve asked to be full time. I’ve offered to work in other departments, learn other roles (ie offering to do payroll, customer service, supervisor roles) everything.
My boss has repeatedly told me that due to hours being cut and other basic problems that they can’t put me on as full time but has been working with me getting to close as possible (I’ve worked mostly within the 30/35 and sometimes 40 hour range. I’m averaged about 36 hours)
But recently I’ve come to find out that they hired a transfer from a store (a store that’s like almost 2 hours away) she worked in the Starbucks but was put into my department at full time.
I dunno what to do and unsure if the union can even help. Any advice is greatly appreciated

I was gifted a cute little string of hearts plant a lil ober a year ago and it was growing great! But suddenly started dying and I've been doing my nest to salvage the 2 singular vines left, one is about 25cm and the other is about 50cm but both are stringy and Don't seem the healthiest, I've tried wrapping them around the top but they don't seem to shoot new sprouts
