 | Had this idea for a couple years now. Spent the entire month leading up to my birthday prepping everything and researching and getting everything I needed and planning what cake I was going to make. Matcha spongecake with a chocolate Buttercream and strawberry filling. I used the chocolate butter cream as the crumb coat and the pink strawberry flavored buttercream for the base cake color. The green piping is also matcha flavored buttercream as well. Added some strawberries and pine berries, some edible glitter and funky candles. My lettering is off center 🥲 but overall the entire experience and process was super fun and I learned something new and it made me look forward to my birthday which I often find hard to do. submitted by loservibes_ to BakingNoobs [link] [comments] |
2025.01.31 03:10 mydark-strange-son would you rather keep a fish in a tank thats big enough but not healthy enough or a healthy tank that isn't as big
i have a bristle nose pleco in my mothers 50 gallon tank which is a good size for it because shes a bit of a large pleco but the problem is my mother doesn't take care of the tank at all she just ignores it and doesnt believe in using real plants to help reduce ammonia and wont let me put plants in it so it always looks super sad, my tanks are much more maintained and heavily planted with a strong ecosystem and i feel like it would be a much better environment for the pleco, the only problem is its a 10 gallon tank and im not sure whether i should let it be unhappy in a large but unsuitable environment or a more suitable but small environment?

Hello, I have a job interview coming up next week. Unless there's something in the employee handbook that forbids nail polish, I plan to wear nail polish to the new job if I get this position. Should I wear polish to the interview? I am cis male and look pretty typically masculine 99% of the time and I plan on dressing formally in male attire. I'm just uncertain if I should keep the polish during the interviewing or if I should present as how I plan to present for the actual job.

Hi there everyone, I'm currently starting my second year of uni and I'm studying the conjoint Bachelor of Health Science majoring in Population Health / Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Business Analytics. Last year I just did general Health Science with premed papers as my electives. But couldn't get into med and I don't think I will be able to get in as a grad either hence why I took up this conjoint. Mostly because Health Science is a pretty useless degree by itself. I'm hoping to become a Healthcare Data/Business Analyst. Do you guys think this was a good or bad change?

I've logged into it at least once in the last year.
I am the site admin, and i tried logging in on the freetoasthost website, and it said it sent me an email with the new password, but... nothing

Hi. My son has an LG through the wall heating and cooling unit in his older condo. I cannot find a replacement filter online or figure out what kind of filter is needed. My son is also useless at this task ha.
The model(s) is LT1037HNR and LT103237HNR-- per the user manual. I think the previous tenant threw away the filters (that maybe were meant to be washed?) and now there's what looks like cotton batting but I think it's an odd filter.
The apartment is super dusty and aggravating his allergies.
Any help is appreciated!

I got bored and took a bunch of CCCs and was watching Oz, season 6 to be exact with the CutleRobson plotline. And suddenly it clicked: why is it humiliating and fucked up for Cutler to make Robson dress himself feminine and wear makeup but when the entire male population does it to the entire female population nothing about the expectations of preforming femininity are acknowledged as degrading. Or even how the word “no” or physical force is never used between the two but we as the audience have no trouble recognizing the situation as rape when a man is doing it to another man (men will recognize this arrangement as rape and then say that women consenting to sex with men they depend on for resources, or from protection from other men like on most party scenes, or in exchange for things like drugs or cash is totally consensual as long as physical force or verbal refusal never came into play in the negotiation). Ever since I’ve felt kind of weird about dressing femme or wearing makeup (I guess if I had to pick an official label I’m NB) because it feels like I’m participating in something degrading or humiliating. Did any other females feel similarly weird comparing the sexual politics on Oz to the ones females face under patriarchy?

im looking to remap my 1.6d any advice? it has 125k miles and still runs super sweet with good power ive put nearly 6k on it since september and im looking to get slightly more power out of it with a stage 1 remap from somewhere like hdi tuning and i was just wondering beofre i go through with it if its a bad idea or not.

Hi! Recent GHSV-1 diagnosis for me so never had a disclosure talk. Feeling fine and optimistic about it though. I’m wondering if disclosing and having open conversations about sexual health has transformed your sex life? As I can totally see how it would! From the get go you’d be creating an honest, safe space with that person. Which can cultivate emotional safety and connection. I feel like it could potentially make sex really fkn good. Even better if the other person has had a recent test and can tell you their status etc. Getting this diagnosis has made me realize how ignorant and naive I was about sexual health. Like why are we not having conversations before I put your literal genitals inside me lol. Keen to hear if anyone can relate!

Not sure if this is where I should post or not but here goes.
So basically I've recently been to a seminar and learnt about a study, on how mice were shocked when they smelt cherry blossom. Then not the first or second generation after those mice, but the third generation after the original mice are exposed to the smell of cherry blossom and they react as thought they would be shocked.
So I'm now thinking this is why we are not learning our language, our brains have become naturally scared of our own language and I think awareness is the only thing I can do to help at the moment.
