2025.01.31 03:31 sinusoidosaurus How can pilots and ATC understand each other over what sounds like extremely low-quality audio connections?
When listening to recordings of not just the Potomac disaster, but average everyday exhanges between pilots and ATC, it seems like the connection quality is often extremely poor. There's a lot of static, and words don't come through very clearly, resulting in exchanges that are extremely garbled and unintelligible.
I know that a lot of it is standard comms between operators with experience, and even if you couldn't quite hear what was said, you pretty much know what's being expressed.
But even listening intently with no other distractions, I can barely make out a fraction of these exchanges.
Does it sound substantially different in their headsets versus the recordings, or is it just their level of experience that allows them to understand what's being expressed?

Dry fire from concealment; dry fire from holster, use snap caps to shoot one round, do an emergency reload or load your magazines with snap caps and do a tactical reload. Practice shoot drills such as El Presidente, Bill drill, dirty 30, Dickens drill, FBI qualification drill. All these drills will keep you solid. Attached are my attempt at the “dirty 30”. 10 rounds each at 7yd, 10 yd and 15 yd. All rounds should be within 10. The target is wrong. Have a 2016 Colorado 2.8L duramax that’s deleted and tuned with a sport eco tune. Every time I tow my fuel filters goes bad pretty quickly. Trailer is 6x12 v nose trailer that weighs 1950 empty. Am I just asking to much of the truck or is there something I can change? Not super knowledgeable on the subject. TIA!

This album was absolutely amazing. I loved all the performances from all the members from the band, especially Kevin Abstract and Dom. This album was so versatile with having crazy bars and amazing singing. The production on this album was great too. The overall album sounded very cohesive and I also loved how the album opened up with 4 really hard hitting songs then after the skits heading more towards more soft and r&b type of songs. I also like how a lot of theme had to do with self identity. Overall such an amazing listen and I love this album. I’m so disappointed that brockhampton as a group isn’t making any more music though and I wish I discovered them earlier.

Ima pretty big fan of Hzd/Hfw. Bought burning shores when it came out and for some reason just stopped playing.
After bouncing around these subs and reading a lot of yalls posts I blew the 'digital dust' off and fired up the game yesterday.
Last save game was 4/30/2023 lol. Lvl 52 101 hours in. Holy shit I couldnt kill a pig or remember how to do anything.
Any tips on best way to get back into it? I'd rather not start over.
Hunting grounds? Melee pits? Think I cleared all rebel camps back in the day.

2025.01.31 03:31 CB450DX Comprei uma CB450 DX 89 como primeira moto, quase 9 meses atrás. AMA
O titulo é auto-explicativo, mas já adiantando: Comprei ela por um preço bem acima do que valia (20k), acreditando que não seria um projeto...Tava toda maquiada. Inclusive, sem quilometragem, tinha 40km no painel, que era novo. Eu devia saber, mas não tinha como dizer não depois da moto tentar me matar umas 15x nos 600m que andei com ela kkkk.
Com 350km estourou o tensionador, bateu as 6 valvulas (bem de leve, mal chegou a atravessar a carbonização dos pistões, tanto que mal marcou eles), foram 1500 reais de retífica pra ajeitar (todas válvulas novas da Metal Leve/Mahle, retentores, guias, pistões e anéis RIK, retifiquei pra terceira retífica (0.75 over, fechando 456cc).
Eu poderia não ter retificado, só feito assentamento e trocado anéis, tudo estava em bom estado, mas decidi deixar zero, por que pra mim o motor obrigatoriamente vai estar sempre no melhor estado possível.
Corrente de comando, tensionador, etc, tudo novo também.
Fora isso, por puro capricho (ela não apresentou problema), restaurei os carburadores ao padrão Honda, o que me saiu em torno de 1800 reais + várias horas do meu tempo.
A unica cagada que fiz (fora pagar caro), foi derrubar o tanque depois de lavar ele, poucos dias depois de comprar, o que me custou 1500 reais pra repintar (é a 450 DX vinho, modelo 1990) e 1 mês inteiro esperando ficar pronto (definitivamente a pior fase, nem quando bateu valvula eu fiquei tão fudido vendo a moto parada).
Restaurei outras várias coisas também por capricho (CDI novo original, pedaleiras, borrachas, e freios, friso do farol entre outros).
Informações importantes: tenho 26, já tinha bastante conhecimento mecânico, principalmente de motores 2T e já conhecia mecânicos confiáveis que entendem da moto, a maior parte acabei fazendo aqui em casa (gastei no maximo uns 200 reais em ferramentas, já tinha a maior parte), outras coisas que não tinha saco (e tempo, trabalho pra c$@#io) acabaram indo pro mecânico.
Quando comprei já conhecia a história da CB400/450 e da importância dela no motociclismo brasileiro, foi um sonho realizado.
Tendo dito isso, quando comprei ela estava apaixonado numa XT600E, mas a concessionária me enrolou por 5 dias falando que a XT tava "trocando o óleo" (aham, sei).
Tô com atualmente, 1400km rodados.
