Hey everyone. I’m posting to share my last update for the Sword and Shield Demake.
I feel as though I have achieved my goal of faithfully translating this hack from Portuguese to English, fixing compatibility issues and bugs, and adding features to the project.
One new feature I’m excited to share is the ability to go camping… okay, maybe it’s more like an event. It isn’t 1:1, and i know many upcoming decomp hacks will have camping features far superior to this (including my own), but it’s a fun little event that I hope you all enjoy.
I have also added the BW Menu patches (LibertyTwins, Shiny Miner, Compumaxx, ansh860) and the EV/IV feature ported by Zake.

Lastly, thanks to all of you folks for all of the support thru thick and thin with this project. I know it’s far from perfect, but it helped me find my passion for creating faithful demakes on the GBA!

I recently purchased an existing sauna from someone who had bought a property but "was not a sauna person". The sauna looks to be at least 20 years old at a guess, and the heater is a MISA 12560 NA. Unfortunately this model has a three-phase power connection so I cannot use it at my house, so I am looking to sell it if possible, but have very little information on it (there seems to be not much online also). My questions would be firstly, how is this brand regarded; and secondly, is it reasonable to attempt to sell a heater of this age given that I have no details on the power connection for one thing. Would it even be clear to an experienced electrician how the heater should be connected without the heater manual? (P.S. I am located in Australia.)

2025.01.31 03:22 GetDownWithDave The Dark Knight Rises has not aged well
As the title says, I find myself unable to watch The Dark Knight Rises anymore. The lens of time has not helped this movie, nor has Matt Reeves’ more cinematic interpretation of the character. There are just so many poorly thought-out moments where I get frustrated that no one was there to reign in Nolan and give the trilogy a satisfying end.
There’s been a lot of speculation on this sub and from others that Nolan was somewhat checked out by this time. Whether it was because he was burned out from his “one for you, one for me” deal with the studio, or because he felt uninspired in the wake of Heath Ledger’s death, the film feels like it lacks focus. It also seems like some major plot points would have worked better had the Joker been pulling the strings rather than Bane or Talia.
Here are a few things that really bother me: • Talia and Bane’s death scenes are both laughably bad. They skew what should be the most climactic moments of the film toward unintended comedy. Bane, after all that buildup, gets taken out by Catwoman with some high-caliber guns and a sarcastic quip? Don’t even get me started on Talia. Marion Cotillard is a fantastic actress, and she deserved better. Both from a scripted and a directorial standpoint, Nolan basically hung her out to dry. • This one gets stated a lot, but it’s hard to ignore: All the police officers going into the sewers at once? It’s like something out of Game of Thrones—a tactical blunder on the level of throwing the Dothraki at the enemy with no support. It makes no sense and undermines the tension. • Nolan struggles with large action set pieces and fight scenes. Th evidence highlighted in the ending of Tenet as well. The choreography looks bad, with extras obviously punching air in the background. On top of that, Batman’s solution to getting wrecked by Bane in hand-to-hand combat was to come back and fight him again? Why ignore the most interesting part of the character—his intelligence? This could have been a great opportunity for Batman to outsmart Bane rather than just go for round two. • One of my biggest gripes: Who decided to have Batman, in full costume, fighting in the streets in broad daylight? This decision baffles me. It goes against everything that makes the character visually compelling. It’s almost like Nolan didn’t care at that point.
I’m curious to know if others feel similarly. I love Batman Begins and find it to be the most interesting of the series. The Dark Knight is elevated by Heath Ledger’s performance and remains a comic book classic. But The Dark Knight Rises? I basically treat the trilogy like the third film doesn’t exist. I just can’t bring myself to watch it anymore.

The position doesn’t require prior experience as a K9 handler, but does require completing a 4-8 week training course. I have an interest in K9 handling and would love to hear from anyone who has experience with Constellis or this kind of work.
What are your thoughts on the company and the Junior K9 Handler role, especially for someone without previous K9 handling experience? Are there any specific challenges or things I should be aware of before applying?

Hi everyone! First off, I just want to say how grateful I am for this sub <3
This is Louis, a sweet, gentle 3-year-old Korean Village Dog (Jindo mix) weighing around 40-45 lbs. He was rescued as a stray in South Korea and made his way to the US a month ago. I'm currently fostering him, and he's ready to find a loving, laid-back home.
Louis adores people and will nuzzle into you like a cat. My husband even gave him a belly rub on the first night we had him. He greets strangers politely on walks but prefers a slow, calm introduction (no sudden pets from new people, which is pretty normal for most dogs). He's house-broken and crate-trained, travels well in the car, and is very food-motivated, which makes him easy to train. He knows sit, stay, down, crate, and touch.
He's a chill, cozy kind of guy who enjoys a laid-back home. He doesn't get along with playful dogs and doesn't do well with male dogs in the home. We haven't seen him around female dogs, but when he was a stray in Korea, he roamed with two females (who have since been adopted in SF!). Right now, he seems happiest being the only male dog in the house.
Louis doesn't quite know how to play yet. He's even a little scared of tennis balls. But just this week, he did his first play bow on a walk, so he's starting to figure it out. As for baths, he tolerates them if treats are involved.. It took two of us to distract him, but we got through it.
Health-wise, he's up-to-date on shots, neutered, and was treated for tick-borne diseases before coming to the US.
I'm in Upstate NY, but I'm happy to travel to NYC, NJ, DC, MD, PA, OH, CT, MA, RI, or nearby states if you're able to meet me halfway. Louis is such a good boy and deserves the best home!

It’s been 4 years. I’ve read half of the book three times. I think I know what’s going on, but every time I get to the endnotes, I lose track of time, space, and my will to live. Meanwhile, outsiders just casually mention “Oh, Infinite Jest? Is that the one about addiction or something?” And I'm the crazy one?
At this point, I’m just hoping the Entertainment is actually an audiobook.

2025.01.31 03:22 DoodlesandThings Are decals super important when selling a model kit? Read for a better description
So my employer picked up an older gentleman‘s entire collection from an estate sale before this older gentleman passed away now this collection, however was the reason why they came up with the word ginormous? I mean, no joke you name it any scale any type of F1 models, airplanes, or tanks This man owned it and took care of it. Everything was stacked nicely and bins away from dust, but I have one problem. The man removed every decal from every kit and put it in a separate bin.
No joke, I have over 400 143 scale kits that are just hanging out with every piece intact. Just missing the decals now I’m not the most well-versed in this hobby because I never got into models, but I’ve been learning over the months that I’ve had to sell these .
So I kind of just wanted to ask the community
- Our decals very important?
- Is there a top of the line brand that’s desirable? I see that studio 27MFH and Bam Kids R pretty good in that regard.
- Why would a collector remove all decals and other parts. I didn’t mention either that every single larger model plastic model any model if it wasn’t a 1/43 scale then he took out the wheels too, and put those in a separate bin. The good news is they’re all sealed Brand new never been opened, bad news is he could fill a warehouse with how many models we have in each individual one needs an individual tire and decal.
- To be honest, I kind of think that might’ve been a nice fun joke. You know what I mean? Pass off your collection, then separate and hide the parts and then giggle about it from up in heaven lol.
Any assistance you can give would be greatly appreciated. Maybe you have tips and tricks on how to find decals and match them with their their kit easily. I don’t know or maybe I’ll find out that. I don’t have to put all the pieces together and people don’t really care if the decals are in it or not Also anyways again like I said thank you very much. Have a good night.
