[Tl;Dr] Seeking advice relating to a promised flight voucher (that we never received) from Volaris in exchange for volunteering to de-board an overweight plane. Has anyone volunteered to deboard a Volaris plane in exchange for a voucher? If so, did you ever receive your (correct amount) voucher? Please let me know any tips and tricks since they are tough cookies when it comes to resolving an issue.
[Full post] My partner and I boarded our flight from Mexico City to Chicago on January 12th, 2025. After a few hours of sitting on the boarded plane + not taking off, the staff informed the whole plane was too heavy to take off... great. After the staff offered a few unattractive offers in exchange for volunteering, they bumped the offer to $800 USD pp + hotel/food + rebooked ticket. My partner and I + 18 other people (yes - 20 people total!) volunteered to de-board the 'overweight' plane in exchange for the offer of $800 USD pp + hotel/food + rebooked ticket.
All of us volunteers eventually received printed details of the hotel, food and rebooked flight. Knowing how Volaris can be, I asked for any written confirmation of the voucher total, a receipt, a picture, or anything else we can hold on to as proof that we will receive our promised $800 usd via email. Once the agent said we just need to wait 2-7 business days for the email voucher, I became skeptical of what we would receive in the end.
Fast forward 7 business days, we have not received anything. I along with another sweet couple we met along the way, filed claims as directed by Volaris customer service representatives since they have no 'evidence' of the promised $800 usd vouchers.

Yes - I am very familiar with Volaris's customer service, and mischievous behavior towards paying customers.
At the end of the day it's not about getting those vouchers for my partner and I, but it is fighting for the honest exchange we were promised, especially when 20 of us are getting cheated by Volaris.

2025.01.31 03:22 Duarian Upgrading from Huntsman V2 Optical?
Just curious what there is to upgrade from. I've noticed that the latest generation of razer keyboards don't have sound dampening foam which is pretty important to me. I just tried the Logitech g915 X and really liked the low profile so the Deathstalker V4 Pro is temping and wireless.
Concerned about noise coming from the Huntsman v2 as it has sound dampening foam and is quiet quiet for a keyboard. Multimedia keys are also nice to have. I noticed the Deathstalker v4 has a button that can act as a multimedia all in one so that's tempting.
Just curious how the Huntsman v3 compares to the v2? I don't really care for the actuation adjustment. Just want something pleasant to type on for work/some light gaming. If there is nothing worth upgrading from then I shall stick with what I have! Thank you!

H18 Somos amigos desde muito tempo, nunca desrespeitei ele nem nada do tipo. Resenhamos demais, mesmo sendo tímido e me privando de algumas coisas. Entrei no grupelho de amigos que ele me incluiu e seguimos assim por anos. Sempre fui o cara "tranquilaço", não mexo com ninguém, banco o doido às vezes, mas nada que fizesse alguém me desrespeitar por isso.
Jogando uma pelada na rua (um fut, nada demais) todo mundo sabe que na hora do jogo saem alguns xingamentos no calor do momento, brincamos e assim levamos.
Mas hoje pela noite aconteceu um episódio desagradável pra caralho entre eu e meu amigo. Em uma dividida de um cara do time dele que também é do nosso grupo de amigos, reclamei pro cara da violência dele com o mlk do meu time. Defendendo, na boa, é o certo né? Jogo disputado.
Porém D O NADA esse amigo em questão veio pra cima de mim me desrespeitar na frente de todo mundo me chamando de "retardado". Apontando o dedo pra cima de mim, e eu sem entender NADA, pois em nenhum momento me dirigi a ele.
Eu perguntei NA HORA sobre o PORQUÊ daquilo, e ele resolveu me ferir com coisas pessoais pra caralho que não podiam ser faladas ali na frente da menorzada.
Eu ainda retruquei dizendo "a gente conhece quem é quem na hora da raiva, eu tô ligado!"
Como não sou sangue de barata chamei ele de desempregado (minha consciência pesou, mas as coisas que ele disse foram da minha e pesadas pra caralho)
De volta ele continuou de mal comigo. Ficou um clima desnecessário, e esse grupinho de amigos que estamos gira em torno dele, concordam com tudo que ele faz, até fumar, beber pra caralho e se envolver em porrada.
Saí calado e decepcionado. Como um amigo pode mudar tanto e te ofender com coisas íntimas da tua vida? Sempre fui um mlk gentil demais com todo mundo. Não xinguei ninguém.
Quero continuar jogando bola e fazer parte do grupinho, tem pessoas boas lá, mas todos veem ele como uma liderança social. Pra ser honesto, não sei como resolver essa situação sem perder a amizade que eu tenho com ele.
Minha vontade é de nem cumprimentá-lo mais, meu Deus do céu...
Não sei o que houve com ele.

 | For those unaware, a "patrol sweep" happens daily by the patrol teams at the end of the day to ensure no one remains on the mountain (injured, lost or otherwise) after hours. They're also conducted when alpine zones (Symphony, Peak, Harmony) close for the day. One of those sweeps on the Whistler side is called "Around the World" and is conducted on a snowmobile instead of skis in the event a guest or patroller needs transport uphill. One of the patrol sweep traditions is a high five with the Around the World driver at specific points on the sweep, specifically at the bottom of Ptarmigan, where it meets the Bean Patch at Expressway. The high-fives represent a patroller checking in with Around the World for accountability's sake, both on behalf of the patroller and any guests encountered during the sweep. Para mi la espiritualidad es un camino del cual todos deberían de tomarlo, es un proceso el cual te da un motivo más allá de lo superficial. Pienso que independientemente de la edad muchos dirigen su atención a áreas y aspectos de la vida que no tiene que tener todo nuestro factor de atención, como las fiestas, pajeras, amistades. No me mal interpreten, pienso que no está mal, ni siquiera pienso que haya algo en la vida que éste mal, solo la relación que tenemos hacia eso. Para mi el basar toda la vida en parejas, fiestas, amistades y demás áreas bastante superficiales es algo inútil ya que, por que preocuparse por esto?, cuando hay infinitas áreas más interesantes que estás. Pienso que la espiritualidad es uno de los mejores paradigmas existentes.
