2025.01.31 04:03 KnightGunther No longer giving compensation for store closed or stolen orders.
So I've been out of the loop for the last few weeks since I started doing a remote work from home job but I try to do a couple deliveries today to earn just a little bit of extra spending money. the first restaurant I go to it was closed called support and went through the normal motions of it and didn't really register that I didn't receive compensation for it. I went to the second restaurant and the order was already picked up by another driver and when I asked support about compensation for that first one and also for this one they told me there was a policy change and they no longer will give out compensation due to orders being picked up by another driver or the store being closed. Has this been a thing for other drivers and other locations or is it just my area type of thing?

 | So, I’ve lost a significant amount of weight two separate times. Sixty pounds before my first was born and the eighty pounds after he was born. Now Ive had two other babies 13 months apart (2023 and 2024). The first of the two I went from 185lbs to 239.4lbs the day I delivered. The second I got pregnant at 220lbs (4m pp) and the day I delivered I weighed 256.8lbs. I started loosely tracking the end of December and was doing really good, but fell off track the week of the 13th and ended up gaining 3.8lbs. But this last week I was doing GREAT. I lost all but 0.9lbs that I gained, and was staying under my calorie goal! But then today I messed up. I ate an extra 250 calories. REALISTICALLY I know this is silly to be upset over. I know that 250 extra calories ONE day won’t set me back weeks. But something about seeing that red and knowing I was SO close to getting back to where I was but messing up makes me… really bummed. I weigh on Tuesdays and last Tuesday I weighed 232.1lbs. I really would like to be back to my pre-December baby weight by the end of March at the latest. 12.1lbs to go. I donated blood for the first time yesterday! I was bored and my university was hosting a blood drive so I decided why not. The actual donation was...rough, I'm a hard stick so it took a few phlebotomists to find a vein, and even then the flow was very on and off so they sort of had to wiggle the needle a bunch which was uncomfortable, I also nearly fainted halfway, but that was expected because I have POTS and do that anyways (lol). Long story short, I think they blew my vein, which isn't surprising and I don't blame them for it, I've had so many IVs and blood draws in my life and being a hard stick I'm used to it. However, the area itself bled quite a lot afterwards, and the bruise looks pretty gnarly and was quite swollen (no swelling today, but still very gross looking), but most concerningly I've found that today my hand (thumb in particular) has had on and off slight numbness? Not enough to be totally numb but definitely tingly. Is that normal?? My hand was pretty numb during the donation too, but I read that was normal-ish, but I don't know about if it's normal more than 24hrs later.

I've been thinking about this for a while. Despite the technical skills and artistry that are developed through training and experience, I feel like beautiful and memorable port de bras is a trait that some dancers just simply have. Out of the ballet performances I've seen in my life, the ones with dancers whose arms, hands, and fingers seem to never be effortful and flow seamlessly from their upper body stand out to me.
Two examples that come to mind: Miriam Miller, who I had the fortune of seeing in the all-Peck program at NYCB last fall, and Lesley Rausch (a retired former principal at PNB).
