Hi Everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone had any advice or insight on the current selection of Arts discovery subjects. I am hoping to keep a higher WAM for future course transfer and was looking at PHIL10002 or POLS10003 only due to them being slightly more interesting for me than the other subjects. However, not exactly sure about their difficulty and workload.
Any personal experiences and insight on any of the Arts discovery subjects would be greatly appreciated.

2025.01.31 04:27 Mettleramiel Ampeg Svt 450 repair help no sound
Sorry, I know it's not a tube amp, but this seems to be the only amp repair subreddit.
Looking for some help with my bass head. There is no sound coming out of the 1/4" jacks. The xlr d.i. works. I don't have a cable for the speakon out so I can't test that one. There is signal going in, I know because I can crank it and trigger the clipping light.
Reading online a few people suggested cleaning and jumping the power amp out/in or the effects loop. I did that and the amp worked briefly, until I turned it off. While it was working, it only worked with the power amp in/out jumped. When I insert a cable to the 1/4" out, there is sometimes a little "pop" when it becomes fully inserted.
I opened the unit up and the 1/4 jacks are making good contact. It feels like the output jacks, but seems unlikely that both wouldn't work if they just need replacing.
Someone said online that there's a contactor that's engaged when the effects or power amp loops are jumped, so perhaps I need to replace that?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

OK, ya paso vamos un mes de esto y aun me duele un poco, quizás yo exagere? No lo se.. Pequeño contexto previo, sufri bullying toda la educación básica y ahora pase a media y conseguí hace unos 3 años dos amigas, las llamaremos mía y nana, a nana le gustaron dos chicos que eran amigos del mismo grupo, Diego, y Tomas, diego le gustó hace dos años, se besaron e hicieron como si nada hubiera pasado, y poco después se beso con tomas en una fiesta de nuestros amigos, tomas era el ex novio problematico de una ex amiga de ella con la que la ex amiga tenía miedo de que nana estuviera con tomas. Nana lloró mucho por tomas, se besaban y se dejaban de hablar y luego nana le rogaba o se obsesionaba con el, ahí mía y yo estuvimos para ella todo el tiempo, al final fueron amigos con ventaja. Donde entro yo? Bueno, yo sufri acoso por una chica que se burlaba de mi hablaba mal de mi me humillaba e incluso una vez me empujó, la acuse a la escuela y todo paro un poco, le pondremos maría, maría es amiga de tomas. Para muestro viaje de egresados fuimos al extranjero, y ahí note a nana medio rara, pasa un dia de discoteca y yo bailo con un chico, y mis amigos al día siguiente me preguntan si nos besamos, respondo que no, que bailamos unos minutos y me puse incomoda, y mis dos amigos me contestan, maría dijo que te vio besarle y nana lo confirmo, y nana estaba a mi lado todo el tiempo, osea que mintió y cuando más tarde le pregunte lo negó todo. Pocas horas después, llega nana con maría a la habitación y dice que las amigas de maría la hecharon del cuarto y no puede dormir con su novio o tendría que volver a nuestro país, y que si me "molesta" con maría en frente, soy bastante empatica y le dije que estaba bien pero me sentí horrible por que yo nunca invitaría a alguien que la acoso al cuarto, llore como una hora en el cuarto de mis amigos y luego hable con ella y ella al inicio se puso a la defensiva y que solo quería conocerla y que no había problema, yo le dije que el mismo tiempo que ella está tomando para conocerla es el que ella no se tomó para conocerme antes de acosarme. Comienza a llorar y dice que solo quiere acercarse a tomas y saber que dice el de ella ya que se habían besado hace unas horas. Luego hay una situación donde me acerca un vape a la boca cuando ya le había dicho que no quería fumar, y estaba maría y Tomas y todos. Intente hablar muchas veces con ella en el viaje pero ella me ignoraba o decía que intentaba integrarme pero yo me alejaba sola. Y cuando nos hablaba a mía y a mi era para llorar por tomas o decir que se habían besado otra vez. Poco después grabaron a tomas hablando mal de nana y diciendo que era bonita pero muy fácil y ella juro terminar las cosas ahí, pero por un amigo me enteré que se repitio el ciclo, se volvieron a besar y Tomas le dejo de hablar denuevo. Ella siguió con si nada, yo acabaron la amistad poco después eliminandola de ig y a lo que me pregunto si la amistad oficialmente acababa o por que yo estaba tan "rara" desde hace un tiempo, le dije que si se acababa y no me contesto más. Espero sus opiniones sobre esto.. tenemos 17 así que aun nos queda mucho por aprender y crecer, no sean muy duros porfavor. Gracias por leerme 🩷

2025.01.31 04:27 Crazy-Independent451 It’s been almost 3 months and i am still hurting
Soon it'll be 3 months since he ended it and i still find myself tearing up, crying before bed, and seeing him in my dreams. I keep waiting for the day i wake up and i am okay. I'm scared to open up my photo album bc he is all over it. Every time someone says his name or nickname which is very common, i am constantly reminded of him. Every time i get on the train i am looking to see if maybe i will run into him and that gives me hope but also terrifies me.
My friends want me to talk to them but i am annoyed at myself for saying and feeling the same things. I allow myself to be sad for a bit but find myself changing the subject or looking for distractions. I thought he was "the one." I feel so stupid and embarrassed.
Maybe tomorrow will be easier...

My University had a blood drive yesterday, and before I decided to participate I looked a lot at other people’s experiences with POTS and donating, so I decided I’d give my experience! A little disclaimer, I would say my case of POTS is pretty moderate, if you have severe POTS I probably wouldn’t recommend giving blood. Firstly, my donation took well over an hour, probably into the 2 hour range, because I’m a hard stick and it took probably four phlebotomists to find a vein, and if I moved even a fraction of an inch the blood would stop flowing and they’d have to adjust. Not sure if being a hard stick is a POTS thing or just a me thing, but if you struggle with tremors or just generally staying still or shakiness, donating blood might be hard. Secondly, I was having a good symptom day and I still fainted. Like immediately. It was actually minorly terrifying how fast the wooziness set in the second the blood started flowing, and how suddenly I was surrounded by nurses trying to keep me concious, so keep that in mind. The setup at my school had beds that could have raised legs so that helped a lot, and I was pretty okay the rest of the donation since my legs were up. After the donation really wasn’t that awful, I was definitely very brain foggy (in the recovery area other students were trying to chat with me and it was very in one ear and out the other, I just sat there in a haze and ate potato chips and apple juice lol), but that improved after a salty lunch and a liquid IV. I did have a lot of overall weakness, and today (the day after) I’ve felt very sluggish, but not THAT bad. I am dizzier faster when standing, but otherwise just very tired. The bruising, I will say, is GNARLY. At least for me. But again, hard stick and they probably blew a vein so. Yeah.
If there’s anything I would’ve done differently, I would’ve probably brought some liquid iv with me, as well as my cane since I was pretty wobbly in the immediate aftermath. I probably also would’ve asked if I could’ve just been laying down initially to avoid fainting in the first place.
So, if you have POTS and want to donate blood, I would go for it! Obviously, don’t do it during a flare or if you have really severe POTS, HYDRATE HYDRATE HYDRATE before AND after, and I would probably expect to need the next day off to rest and recover, but if you’re someone with mild or moderate symptoms and it’s a good symptom day, it’s kinda a good way to procrastinate doing homework. Disclaimer: obviously consult your doctor if you’re concerned. Also, I’m not entirely sure if POTS disqualifies you from donating blood, don’t quote me on it but I think in the UK tachycardia in general disqualifies you, but in the U.S. they didn’t seem to care.
