I've been on cholesterol medicine and tests have been fine, about a year ago my ALT was elevated and I stopped drinking completely for 6 months and my tests were all normal they also gave me a liver ultrasound and they said my liver and pancreas and everything looked perfect. Decided I would only drink on my days off and only 2-6 beers when I did drink. Stupidly drank the night before my checkup and found out my Triglycerides were in the 300s and my ALT was elevated at 67 again. How long does this take to go back to normal usually? Would this amount of alcohol cause liver damage and the raised Triglycerides or was it just because I drank the night before? I know alcohol is poison and I have since stopped again and have been eating really healthy and stuff but hoping I haven't done any long term damage. I do feel a lot better since stopping and I know I need to probably just keep it that way and not get back into the same drinking schedule.

i've been getting notifs for upvotes on comments for a while now, we all have, today i got a notif for a post i didnt make nor interact with, i hate that. I have done much of everything to rid these notifications. The only true solution is to remove the notif bell entirely with Ublock element zapper, i fear. Is there a real solution or am i subject to this clingy upvote-updater and strange secondary algorithm in my mailbox?

Not sure if this is the right sub to post this to but we really need an advice. My boyfriend was employed and terminated with Sunlife last DecembeNovember 2022 and received his last pay and they have sent a clearance email of his last pay and the equipment he returned. Sunlife then harrassed him til today about it and threatening to file a lawsuit. Their explanation is that "inadvance daw yung sahod ko non then saka nag resign. Kumbaga yung sinahod is nakuha ko pero hindi naman yun yung mga days na pinasok ko" and also, the lawyer who contacted him mentioned that the payment supposed to be 35K when the last pay that he received was 28k. Basically, I'm asking for advice about this. Should we just pay the 35K to stop the harassment?

I hope this is a “safe space” for people like me. Can’t believe I’m writing this. But here goes.
For the past year, I have been struggling with my weight. I lost my job and was binge eating (eating my feelings) and gained 50 lbs which now puts me at 200lbs. I started taking sema about 9 weeks ago. Pros: I don’t binge eat anymore and my sweet tooth has decreased. Cons: side effects - which I can deal with for the most part - but this past week I injected in my belly for the 1st time and it’s given me the worst stomach pain. Can’t sleep at night.
I’m writing because, even tho my appetite has decreased and I eat a lot less… I don’t see any scale decreases nor NSV. In fact, I just feel horrible ALL OF THE TIME. It consumes my thoughts and affects everyone around me. I’m uncomfortable in my own skin. I feel just horrible and I hate myself. Everything I do is painful. Tried to work out but my back and knees hurt. And I know it’s because of the weight. The stomach pain is also contributing to the aches I feel all day everyday. My husband looks down upon me and says I’m trying to take the easy way out. But that is not the case.
I’ve been following this Reddit for tips for quite some time & I see so much success. But nothing for me. (I know it sounds bratty, but I don’t mean it that way. Genuinely feeling hopeless)
What do I do? I’m at a loss and I just hate myself so much. So so much
