Hey there, 23yo AMAB nonbinary person here
like the title says, the gray/white spots on my tonsils have not gone away. Symptoms started last Wednesday, first just a sore throat and swollen tonsils then after another day or so white spots started showing up on my right tonsil (I would specifically describe the soreness/pain as feeling like there were sharp rocks where my right tonsil is). Went to an immediate care that Friday (I’m a singer, had a gig lined up for what is now this Friday/tomorrow, the 31st, and was trying to kick this as soon as possible so as to not have to pull out of the show. I did anyways as I had a feeling that wouldn’t happen), and after being swabbed and testing negative for the flu + strep I was told by the doctor not to worry about it and just gargle with salt water, should go away on it’s own in a few days, did not even acknowledge the spots on my tonsils. Within a day, my other (left) tonsil started swelling and getting the same white/grey spots. Went to that same immediate care but had a different doctor who immediately prescribed me 5 days of antibiotics (Zpack). Antibiotics seemed to be working during that 5 days, white/grey were getting smaller and sore throat stopped day 3. However, today was day 5 (took meds this morning) and I checked on my tonsils a little bit ago and those same white spots are still there, and are now bigger than they were when I had checked the day before. (Checked by using phone flashlight, I’ve made sure to avoid directly touching the inside of my mouth so as to not expose it to anymore bacteria).
Obviously I should go back to the doctor, I’ll be making an appointment w/ my PCP in the morning, but is it normal for tonsillitis to spring back like that? At this point my tonsils/throat does not hurt anymore, but are still slightly swollen and have white/grey spots on them. I’m worried the soreness will come back and I’ll just be back on the same train within the next day or two.
Again, I had to cancel a show with my band because of this, a date I was supposed to go on the day before I went to immediate care, and I had to call in to work for the week after my symptoms started. I have a longtime friend’s birthday party this Saturday that I’m going to guess I will also have to miss out on because of my stupid freaking tonsils. I’m really afraid of having to deal with this for another week or longer if I’m not able to get in with my PCP within the next couple days.
Further context: I am a frequent smoker, both weed and cigarettes. Admittedly snuck in one full cigarette yesterday evening, I have not smoked any weed but did take a THC edible twice while on my antibiotics. Totally open to those being what’s at fault and have my ass handed to me in the comments, but for this to reoccur after one cigarette and two edibles seems kind of wild to me.
Any advice, thoughts, or consolations would be very welcome right now.

 | That is very clearly the girl they zoom in on in top 3. We have no reason to assume the clips they put in do not come from the current season of alien stage because literally all of the other clips do. It wouldn’t make sense to just put a random clip of a girl from another season in there when all the other clips have been highlights of the season/stuff of the top three candidates. They also put so much emphasis on her and have given her a very distinctive design. That has to be on purpose. The only question is, Who is she????? But regardless, that’s not what I’m here to say. I just wanted to point out that this heavily implies that Till’s mom has been watching this season of alien stage. Very possibly watched him die too . 2025.01.31 04:04 JayBenedetti New patch just made the game unplayable
Before the patch I was having a great experience with mathcmaking, many good and balanced games, even in defeats. However, the patch now made it completely unplayable. I keep getting teamates that dont understand the very core mechanics of the game. I win my lane, help the one next to me win theirs, and we are 20k behind because the other 2 are almost losing their walker. Congrats Valve on making it so freaking terrible that by the time the game launches the community is dead.
Anyone else having this experience?

My 13y/o daughter loves singing and has been working with a vocal teacher for a few years now. She likes her a lot but is always frustrated about song choice. She wants to sing more popular songs that she knows and connects with. The vocal teacher is opera trained and is always choosing more classical pieces. Anytime we suggest something different she says it’s not appropriate for her age, or that it’s too low, or not “healthy for her voice”. Is this normal voice teacher behavior? Can a song that’s too low for you not simply be sung in a higher key? And what does she mean about not healthy for her voice? Like I said- I’m clueless on this and would appreciate any advice!

am 18f and my partner is 17m, recently I have felt resentful due to him getting his license, for context I have had my permit for 2 years now and we have been dating for a year, I was there to see him get his permit but he was not there when i got mine. I do not have my license because touching my parents cars is a rare occasion, they rarely let me. I have just now paid for lessons in light of feeling this way. With my own money as a college student, which was very pricey. Furthermore we had a call where he said that he was scared I would be “stuck in the same place I am in life right now” on the day he got his license. Today I saw him drive for the first time and I immediately felt so wrong and could not look at him. I feel like a terrible person because I love him and want to stop feeling this way because I am a big reason he got it but I truly feel awful having to be dropped off at any place we want to meet as someone relatively older than him.
