Hi, I'm a basshead and I think I want Lost Lands 2025 to be my first solo festivall.
I've been raving and attending festivals since 2012. My first festival was Ultra 2012. I've been to Lost Lands in 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022.
My second festival was Bonnaroo 2012. I fell in love with the farm. I've been to that festival 5 times and it's my safe place. It also holds a lot of memories with my newly ex.
We dated for 8 years and fell in love with the festival life together. We've been to Ultra, EDC, Imagine, Elements, Sol Fest, Okee, Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, Lost Lands, Infrasound, Wakaan, ....we did it all.
Sadly things didn't work out. Nothing bad happened, but sometimes people just grow apart. We split amicably almost a year ago. Sol Fest 2024 was our last festival together and we split for good after.
Through all our festival history, Lost Lands struck a special place in my heart. I've had the absolute best times at Lost Lands. The genre of music that is played there is just my fucking favorite and it hits like no other. She didn't care for Lost Lands too much. She preferred either the small homie wakaan type festivals, or the cream of the crop in EF/Bonnaroo. Bonnaroo was OUR place.
Skipping the details there, we also had a tight knit group of friends that would meet with us at certain festivals. Bonnaroo was the big family hangout. We'd all meet up individually randomly at other fests, but Bonnaroo was every year everyone goes.
I'm single for the first time in nearly a decade, me and the ex are on great terms as friends, and the whole group is going to Bonnaroo this year, including my ex.
But....I kind of want to go to fucking Lost Lands instead. I can realistically only afford one this year. But I've already bought my Bonnaroo ticket in full. But...I want to come home to Lost Lands.

Idk i just needed to vent. Left my game afk (fell asleep) just to come back to a “temporary” horse and my saddle across the map??? Went to try to revert back to an old save and ended up apparently deleting everything by accident idk didnt understand what i was deleting clearly.. i just feel crushed man. Was about to finish chapter 4. So many pimped guns and clothes, everything just gone. Cant even recover the save cause even though its turned ON there was no automatic cloud upload ever done yet i have 60+ hours in the game. I just dont understand man. what the fuck

2025.01.31 04:20 Coldshoto Do Quest 3 controllers without clicks noises of the thumbsticks exist?
I bought my Quest 3 about three weeks ago. I noticed yesterday that the left thumbstick was making clicky noises by simply tapping/touching it. Did some research online and apparently this defect is prevalent. Since I now became aware of the issue I tried to listen to my right thumstick...it's there but a lot less audible. Like I really just hear it if I focus on it and it's closer to my ear vs yhe left which is a lot louder
I reached out to Meta and they agreed to replace both controllers with possible refurbished controllers.
Besides the fact that it's disappointing to get a refurbished for something just a few weeks old within the return window, I was wondering if controllers with no clicks noises exist at all. Or do all of them have but some are just louder than others? Like I'm not sure if I should replace the right side since I truly wouldn't have known if it wasn't for the left side bringing it to my attention.
Or should I try my lucky anyways an hour I get a completely quiet one?

This is more of a vent than anything and I understand the answer to the question is “take out more loans”, but how tf are some of these schools making their COA? Northeastern says it costs $22,000 per year to attend in BOSTON, one of the most expensive cities in the country. A studio in Boston is like $2500 and even with roommates your rent can very sell be over the amount allotted for rent. Meanwhile, schools in much more affordable cities are allotting several thousands of dollars more for housing and overall attendance, go the point where you can take your pick of any apartment in the city. How is this even calculated? Like is it just out of touch administrators making up these numbers or is there a method to this?

Hello everyone! I’m a screenwriter by trade but I've been dabbling in prose for the last few years, writing a short story here and there when time permits. I’ve recently started brainstorming a novel idea that I’m starting to fall in love with, but there’s a small voice in my head telling me that I need to write more short stories before trying my hand at something longer.
HOWEVER, I’ve had a trad pub author friend tell me that writing short stories is an entirely different muscle from novel writing, and that I shouldn’t necessarily see them as a stepping stone.
What do you guys think?

Hi!
I did my first Hyrox in Melbourne in 1 hour 48 minutes. I was very unprepared as I was training for a triathlon in the months leading up to it and signing up for the Hyrox was very last-minute.
Still, I enjoyed it. And I want to properly train for one this year and see how much I can shave off my first time. I'm keen to do the same one in Melbourne in December if they do it again.
I want to spend the next three or four months building my aerobic base and getting as strong as I can.
I have a decent idea of how to do this on the aerobic side (lots of Zone 2). But I have almost no experience balancing this with a strength training program.
In the past when I've lifted weights and put on mass, I've relied on Jim Wendler's Boring But Big program, which has helped me get stronger and put on size: https://t-nation.com/t/boring-but-big-3-month-challenge/284446
So, I might try BBB again (so four strength sessions a week) but throw in three or run cardio sessions a week (three easy, one intervals).
Do you think this would be OK? Or do you think it would be too much volume?
Would you recommend a different strength training program for Hyrox - perhaps a one-off one I could buy as a PDF? And how long would you recommend spending in each session to begin with, and what exercises would you recommend doing?
I was thinking of getting the Renassiance Periodization app for a month or two, but figured it might be too much volume and too bodybuilding-focused.

Need all the advice I can get. We've been living in a rental and looking to buy our first home. Our landlord has given us a heads up that he's selling our house. We're within a fixed term, so they're aiming to sell to investors with tenants in situ. However, we've been warned we'd be facing a section 21 before the tenancy ends in September (so I assume he'd issue it in July?) if no one wil invest.
Do I still realistically have enough time to look for a house, put an offer in and complete by September without risk of homelessness?
I can't find an ideal house at the moment. There's 1 I love that is way out of budget, and I'm hoping they'll accept an offer, but I'm worried if they're in an upwards chain we could end up evicted before completion. There's another house that is chain free and cheaper with a lot of space, but it's not as nice and in a road that has not the best crime statistics so I can't get a read on the area. The advantages would be more money over each month, completing on time and being able to refuse viewings etc until our tenancy is near its end. But it doesn't feel like a forever home and I'm anxious about break ins with the higher crime rates.

My boyfriend was out drinking with his friend. They were at the casino and someone told his friend that I had sex with one of his friends a bunch of times when we weren’t even together. The thing is I did but not as many times he was gossiping about and I had openly talked about it with my boyfriend before restarting a relationship. It took two years for me to trust my boyfriend enough to “date him” again. Now I’m pregnant he accused me of lying over the phone. Refused to come home. When he did it was 3 in the morning he woke me up and starting not accepting what I had said before I restarted the relationship. Basically saying that the friend that was gossiping was telling the truth. This broke my heart he wouldn’t take my side. It took me so long to trust him. And another two years to get pregnant with him. I was hysterically crying. He was telling me he wanted his ex. Saying anything to hurt me. One of the main things I came here to talk about was that he recorded me without me knowing crying saying I was telling the truth and he was acting stupid and embarrassing. Like the way he was talking. I hate to invalidate his feelings but the was he was insulting me and talking in a weird voice seriously broke my heart especially for being pregnant. He then threatened to show the videos to his friend and his wife. He chased me around the house at 3 in the morning recording me I couldn’t stop crying. I made up with him the same morning. He was a drunk mess. The words hurt me. The way he still losses his temper scared me. But I’m really concerned about is today I looked on his camera roll and the videos were still there. I don’t understand why he would keep them. I’m pregnant and crying at 3 in the morning I’m embarrassed but not for the reason he wants me to be. What should do. Am I wrong overreacting. What ended the argument was he said he wanted me to finally say I appreciated him. What does that have to do with gossip and him not talking my side. Or the fact he was extremely controlling with my emotions so late while carrying his child. My chest hurt from crying, my voice hurt. It was heartbreaking I don’t know what to do. Mind you I had sex with his friend when I was 17 I am now 21. I’ll be close to 22 when I deliver our baby.
