First and foremost I would like to establish what this critique won't be. At no point will I claim that this song is "too happy" or is worse simply because Isaac isn't featured on it, quite the contrary in fact. I think BC,NR should aim to carve out as unique of sound as they can, instead of trying to copy the mannerisms of Wood.
One of the hottest topics in regards to this track had been the lyricism. Specifically in regards to the TikTok line. Proponents of the single argue that "Well, it's just like an Isaac line! Why is a pop culture reference a problem now." The songs attempt to mimick Isaac is the entire weakness of the line, as I mentioned earlier. In imitating his lyrical mannerisms in such a shallow way the single is only held back. The rest of the lyrics are fine, they don't do anything particularly special, though they serve the means of telling the story well enough.
Much of the instrumentation feels gimmicky, which is never thought I would say about BC,NR. A band known for their eccentric use of instruments in rock, but here we are. I was really excited to hear the harpsichord during the intro of the track, it felt like a brave new direction. I was disappointed to hear it add very little to the rest of the track. The harpsichord feels like little more than a gimmick, the only thing you come away with upon first listen in regards to the harpsichord is "They used a harpsichord." It becomes almost annoying on relistens. I am shocked that I feel pretty similarly about the saxophone, I've always loved Lewis's playing and it could be easily argued that the sax was the best part on certain tracks. Not on this one, it plays a passive and boring role. When using instruments such as a harpsichord or saxophone in a pop/rock song they need to be justified. One of the best parts of the song is when I feel that they are justified. The counter melody they play near the end of the song has an interesting color and hints at what the track could have been.
The thing that holds back the single the most is the robotic and almost boring production throughout. In interviews they mentioned how locked in the group was while recording AFUT. The tracks on that album were all recorded live, which gave it the feeling that a track like this could really benefit from. The track was produced digitally, while there might be nothing strictly wrong with that, the song has a certain lack of warmth while getting none of the real benefits of digital production beyond inheritancing the robotic feel that it brings.

Hello, for the longest time my wife’s old htc mytouch 4g from 2012 wouldn’t power on, but I tried it again today and it’s working. We got photos of the removed sd card a while ago, but we’d like to see if there are any in the internal storage. The Gallery app doesn’t have a toggle to see internal storage, it defaults to the sd card which isn’t present. There’s no Files app on the device and the play store isn’t working (WiFi is connected). I think we’re may need to update her google account password on the device, but I can’t figure out Joe to update that stored password. I’ve tried connecting it to my windows pc but it shows in device manager with the yellow triangle even after I installed the driver. Any idea on what to try, to get to the internal storage or fix the Google account password? Thanks!

This might actually be illegal but I'm curious... is there a way to upload downloaded music that was at some point taken off of spotify to spotify just to listen to privately? The Masayoshi Takanaka album The Rainbow Goblins was taken off of Spotify at some point and I want to be able to listen to it on there (as well as Zebrahead's Zebrahead album). Just to be clear, I don't want to upload these publicly or make any amount of money off of them or anything, JUST upload them to Spotify as "my" song and keep it on private for listening. Simplemente ya estoy bastante deprimido de por sí, desde muy pendejo siempre pensé que a penas me vaya a la u fuera de mi casa (soy de pueblo chico) me iba a desvivir eventualmente porque no veía un objetivo por seguir, asi que realmente no me importaba qué estudiar (por suerte eso ya ha cambiado, tengo mi pareja que es mi apoyo y aun que pase cualquier cosa no me gustaría irme y dejarle solo).
La cosa es que ya me da paja mi puntaje, y siento mucho por aquellos que están ahí esforzandose para salir adelante con una carrera que sí pague bien, pero nunca he estudiado y pase todo 4to medio rascandome los cocos, y aún así saqué el suficiente puntaje como para estudiar derecho, alguna ingeneria o medicina si es que hubiera dado la de ciencias lol. Realmente no me importa ganar plata más alla de poder sobrevivir un día más, y lo unico que me hace feliz es el arte, que ha sido mi única terapia estos años. Mi familia cercana ya se ha enojado conmigo porque esperaban que estudiara algo mejor, pero simplemente no doy, no puedo ver un futuro en el que pueda hacer algo por plata en una vida que no disfruta de las cosas materiales necesariamente.
Sé que muchos pensaran que seré weón y no aprovecho todo mi "potencial", pero incluso si es poco o si es que mi vida es corta, me gustaría disfrutar lo que pueda :) ¿Alguien más que esté en una situación similar? ¿O se sienta igual?

A team that "really needed to win this week" offered AD and miles bridges for maxey and cam johnson. Makes no sense at all trading for Cam Johnson if this week is do or die. Manager has a reputation for colluding in the past. He already got vetoed for admitting one trade was part of a "loan", and now the 2 managers are playing each other. I highly suspect they are trading a win for such a favorable trade. Is the evidence enough grounds for vetoing for collusion or am I being biased as a commissioner?

I bought a new pc 13 months ago from amazon (Omen), since I got it sometimes when i play league of legends (on the lowest settings) it drops to 10-20 fps, and i have to wait out the lag and its really frustrating idk what the reason is. All I had on it was league of legends, and i even factory reset it a week ago to delete everything and try again with ONLY league of legends and logitech ghub installed and tried it the pc can get over 1000 FPS but idk why this happens, it will happen 3-10x during a 30 minute game
before I reset it the memory would just be like at 85% from task manager and cpu would be at 15-20, but spike to 100 sometimes. after factory reset now its still 15-20 cpu but 65% memory
Specs: AMD Ryzen 7 7700 8-Core Processor 3.80 GHz 16.0 GB (15.1 GB usable) (2x sticks 8gb) Nvidia Geforce RTX 4060 ti
Things ive tried: -change monitor from 144 hz to 165 (made it a lot worse, teleport character back and forth when walking) -enable g-sync (made it worse too I think, so turned it off but mostly tried g sync with 164hz, not sure if its automatically enabled without me enabling it yesterday) -capped fps 144, also tried 240 but went back to 144 just in case -bios update from "hp support assistant" app -5h scan bios or uefi (idk much about these things) -full antivirus test -put league as priority app - full screen / borderless. (fullscreen makes it black screen 5s after alt tab with 144 hz, but is fine on 165) - optimize button from "hp support assistant" - disable xbox - uninstall a lot of things from default startup (even tho factory reset) - high performance pc mode
this is just off the top of my head for what i can remember. Im not sure if i need to do something specific on the pc or i have to take it to a shop or something, no experience with these kinds of things

I recently lost my osu folder with ~40k maps and I will definitely be downloading basically every ranked map from 2016-2023 since they are available as whole packs.
Apart from Poon's 2020 osu folder, are there other big packs with a lot of unranked maps? (mainly looking for tech and/or tournament maps) or maybe a way to download stuff from over here as a map pack?
Also side question, If I were to input "stars<3" in the beatmap selection screen and then do "delete all visible beatmaps" that will delete every map below 3* right?

So recently I've been reading the Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man tie-in comic that takes during the time skip which adds some really interesting information specifically about Nico Minoru.
In issue 1 we learn that Nico ran away from her biological family in Los Angles for unknown reasons and ended up in the foster care system where she was adopted by Susan O'Hara a YFNSM original character my theory is that Susan is an ancestor of Miguel O'Hara thus making him legally related to Nico.

I just v* and I have no idea why, it came out of nowhere. I feel a little better now, but I also can't stop freaking out. I kissed my girlfriend earlier who also has emetophobia, and I'm scared that I gave her something (if I even have something) I don't want to tu again. My LO is turning 3 months tomorrow & I had a few questions about the 4 month sleep regression.
-Do all babies go through this?
-What were the initial signs that it was starting?
-How long did/does it typically last?
-What are some tips that helped you get you and your LO through it?
-Is it worse than the newborn stage (waking every 1-2 hours)?
Side note* my LO sleeps through the night and is on a predictable nap schedule. So maybe the regression will barely affect her? She wasn’t always like this, she only started sleeping all night about 2 1/2 weeks ago. From birth to beginning on 2 months she was up every 2 hours and most times be awake for hours and hours on end and then be stuck in an overtired horrible cranky crying cycle. It was absolutely miserable for the both of us. Now it’s like a 180 and I’m so happy we BOTH are sleeping so good. So IF this happens which I’m so scared for lol will it be something like I just explained or am I gonna need to prepare for something absolutely catastrophic 🤣
