Hey guys I know this debate has already been talked over but I'm still so baffled into why Doncaster wasn't included into stage 1 of the SRL.
You could argue Doncaster is Melbournes most required suburb for a train station. It's home to many high rise apartments and a growing population aswell as an extremely busy shopping/dining precinct.
I understand they are increasing bus routes and corridors to make up the transport needs but considering stage 1 is going all the way from Cheltenham to Box hill, why not just extend the line that tiny bit further for a suburb that is desperately in need of proper transport relief to ease growing road congestion.
Doncaster shopping town carries the title as Melbournes/Australias most dangerous car park believe it or not so any public transport projects will be vital for growth and safety

Yesterday on here I asked what causes my low confidence if I have high self esteem. I’ll repeat in case u wanna read:
Idk if I’m using the right words, but I feel like I have high self esteem and low confidence. Let me explain
I think pretty high of myself most of the time. I feel like I’m good looking (again most of the time, there is occasions where I feel ugly or average), I feel like I am a funny person, and athletic, pretty good personality, good money wise, etc. I even took several self esteem tests online and both said I have high self esteem. I didn’t reach extremely high but I was well above average.
But when it comes to confidence, I lack it, especially socially. I care A LOT about what other people think. I always want them to think high of me. I’m very sensitive to embarrassment, negative judgment, rejection. People have always told me say Ive been quiet & shy. I sometimes get anxiety just talking to people.
The strangest part about it is I’m not an introvert, I know for sure I’m an extrovert and like to be the center of attention. I’m literally am extrovert who thinks pretty high of myself, but I still have no confidence!
^ that’s it. People responded with possible reasons why this is, but now I’m asking, how do I fix this? The average person who’s socially anxious can stop being socially anxious by building up their self esteem, but I already think high of myself most of the time and I’m still socially awkward and anxious, so how do I fix this?

Some help would be appreciated. I’m feeling really down tonight about work and my life trajectory with work in general.
I graduated with an associates in cybersecurity in 2015 and immediately jumped to a firewall/MFA/ edr company as a support rep. I was a late bloomer so I’m 38 now. That experience was probably the best 7 years of my life both experience, relationships, and fun wise. During my time I rapidly ascended with multiple promotions eventually being worked into a team lead role. I was the rock star the company. Highest metrics, customers praising me, celebrated by my leaders. A team lead left about 8 months into my promotion right before Covid and they couldn’t fill the shift so I was Voluntold to work a full time APAC shift essentially overnight. I was told I’d eventually be moved out of that shift but it never happened. I always felt like this stunted my growth because I didn’t get to develop alongside the other leaders and was put on an island but I made the best of it. Promoted changes that lead to efficiency gains, increases CSAT and employee accountability.
A manager who had mentored me left the company to another then recruited me around 2022. By this time I was essentially running the APAC team for a few years and was operating as a manager. He offered me the chance to interview for a job as director of customer support. I interviewed and got the position and reluctantly left my safety net at the firewall company. My first year was a struggle. This wasn’t a true director title. While I did manage budget and some strategy I also managed a team of direct report engineers so a sort of hybrid directomanager role. I had a VP who was vindictive, aggressive, sometimes outright threatening. It was extremely toxic. I did the best I could to shield the team and develop SOP from scratch.
This was an older cybersecurity company that still ran like a startup. I set goals with the team, developed KPIs, improved process, and demonstrated some killer metrics improvements with time to resolution and reduced ticket touches to closure. However, the entire time I was at this company I felt like other than my old manager that no one took me seriously, no one valued the work I or my team was doing. I did my best to promote our work and progress, but I felt like a black sheep.
I got laid off in January of 2023, was unemployed for 6 months despite doing everything I could get my resume and cover letter right. I think I interviewed at over 20 places almost always hitting final rounds. I eventually settled for an IT manager role with government. I wanted to serve the community and use my skills to improve the city.
My god, I didn’t realize what I was walking into. The agency had completely stripped IT down to 2 staff members during COVID and I was a supervisor being hired to come in and get management over things after 4 years of no IT. There’s multiple IT teams in a weird matrix model where I’m not even managed by a someone who is an IT professional but is an accountant. There’s was no ITSM, and the deluge of projects and user expectations on timelines when I only have 2 staff under me is just wearing me down. I try to set expectations but it’s like I’m being ignored. I try to reason, but be empathetic to their needs, but it’s like everyone is in fairytale land and thinks I have a full staff of 25 people. My boss doesn’t have a solution to manage this more than I am.
I’m seriously questioning if this is right for me. I’ve received raving praise from my manager for the incredibly fast work I’ve done to get projects off the ground and begin implementation with very organized planning and deliverables, but I’m starting to feel like the asks are too much and what’s the point if I can’t even take vacation or enjoy spending money that I’ve earned. Somehow I have an insane vacation package due to being government but it seems like I can’t even use it. If one of my staff are out stick or on PTO it derails my entire day of meetings. There are no metrics to point back to for staff because they were using a non-configured ticketing system prior to moving to the new one this month.
I’m starting to point out these critical capacity issues to my manager with no movement. I had asked for headcount with clear justification at the start of the year for our budget and the director declined it.
Am I the problem? Is this normal and I just don’t have the tools to handle it? How do I even step back at this point after 7 years of leadership? I’m still pretty damn technical, but I’m probably more skilled on a resume as a leader. What do I do?

**If this is known info, my bad, I could not really find any reputable source on this.**
I enrolled in the CFE prep course today, and had a serious issue trying to download the PDF because its embedded. I might be a dumbass LOL but I did a bit of research here and on google and noticed people were referring to issues and dislikes using the web version as well as the digital PDF - and I also was kind of annoyed.
I talked to ACFE customer service today and they walked me thru how to print to PDF - its a pain in the ass because it takes a bit of printing to PDF and saving, but I need an offline version for my own sanity so, If anyone else has ran into this issue... here is how you solve it.
(PS- I was told you cannot purchase the physical copy anymore, so this might be more common knowledge for current ACFE members.

If you access the PDF from "My Learning and Resources" there will be a little printer icon

I already had printed a few batches obviously before I thought of posting this - you can print all or do selective pages and it will process 100 pages at a time and then open a new dialog box. This takes like 30 seconds for 100. I haven’t ent made any annotations yet and I also reduced the print quality, and the resolution is totally fine.

Ok this may seem a little out there but me and my bf have a theory that Jessica could be an age regressor.
The whole idea came from that famous blooper where jess breaks character and calls aaron daddy during a hide and seek episode. The reason we think that this could be a thing is because I personally am an age regressor and the scene felt too familiar. The way that Jason laughed was almost identical to how my bf laughs when I accidently slip into little space for a moment. The pause felt as if Jason thought "you just slipped didn't you?" before laughing as he realized, she had. Now that is personal interpretation of that blooper.
The other reason we believe this is because of her merchandise. For example her carnival treats water bottle. Looking at the design alone, it looks like a sippy cup. It also uses the same flip up rubber straw that most toddler cups use. As well as a carry strap. The only difference between it and a sippy cup is that it's 44 ounces. Not to mention the stuffies and and designs of basically everything.
Jess's content is also very driven towards children despite having a primarily adult audience. Her content is always very childish but with no real substance for children. But not in a total brain rot way, in a this is a good background show kind of way. As an age regressor it's more of a "ima put this on while I color." type of content.
So yeah just my personal theory.
TLDR: Jess might be an age regressor but no solid evidence.

So my problems started when I tried setting up my cintiq and I noticed my monitor only had hdmi plugs and nothing else so I tried a roundabout way of setting up an adapter in order to have both a hdmi and a usb a port but unfortunately that didn’t work so then I tried to plug the hdmi in my monitor and the usb a in my pc and with that my device was able to be registered and I am able to use the pen and everything. The only problem is that it still won’t display anything and keeps on giving me the black no signal found screen. So essentially I paid to have a screen drawing tablet and it doesn’t work. I was just wondering if there is any way to fix this and if I have to get a new monitor which would work best. I need this for class so thank you!
